Got a call from Eric Wilson, number is 767-275-9067, who said he represents Microsoft. I asked which part of Microsoft he represents, he couldn't answer that I also informed him that I was on the the National Do Not call registry but he kept insisting that my computer has a major virus and that he was calling to help. I said baloney and he said no it is true. I said sorry and just before I hung up I ask him his supervisor's name but he couldn't give that to me because he didn't know it. I told him and his company to never call this number again and promptly hung up!

I just got another call coming up on caller ID as 767-275-9068.
I have had them before and found this to be the best way to deal with them.
In your best computerized monotone voice.
"Thank you for calling Save The Whales you have made an automatic donation of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS to be changed on your telephone account. We greatly appreciate your donation, please stay on the line to make a further donation of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for every two minutes"  They hang up real quick, no much wrong with their understanding of English.

I got a phone call, to my landline phone, at 3.03pm on 18/3/14 from that number, 7672759068. I said hello and no one replied even though there was someone on the other end. I just said, "You are confused, wrong number." then hung up. Then I disconnected my phone and put off my modem for about 5 minutes in case it was some scam to steal some of my internet useage.

Same deal as above, called me twice.  Deep Indian accent (outsourced to India) and very rude.  Told me my computer was infected, claimed to be from Microsoft.  Kept asking me to turn my computer on (it's been on for the last few months, except when Windows Update reboots).  Didn't relay any info when I asked what service or product they were selling.  He couldn't even tell me my IP Address and threatened that Microsoft would block my computer from their OS in 2 days before hanging up on me.
This isn't how Microsoft does business.  Believe nothing and DON'T give any information about your OS, Computer, IP Address, etc.
If you're on the National Do Not Call Registry like we are have your phone service provider block the number and hang up when they call you.

This is at least the second call from these b*****ds.
I let loose with every obscenity I know screaming them as loudly into the phone as possible. After I had no more breath to use, I hung up.  It probably will not stop them, but it sure was cathartic.
Actually, this call ID's as being from 303 961 5402, but the "name" area was 12022040484. They can spoof anything they want into the fields, but it is the same scam.

Hehe, I've done the same. The first thing I do is try to tell me WHICH computer is supposedly having issues, since I have 4 in the house. It's fun listening to them stumble and try to come up with a reason why I need to let them access my computer.

Be careful doing this. I work for a VERY large and influential company and one of these call centers in India started calling for an employee there. They call from 1000's of different #'s and can ring all of the phones in our building at once so the phones go crazy. NOTHING we said or did stopped this man and trust me I work with some pretty creative people. 20/20, or 60 mins did a huge expose on these people. In fact the person who kept calling said his name was the reporter who did the expose. It took nearly 3 months for my company to stop the calls and even now more then 6 months later a call gets through once in awhile. The person they were calling for ended up changing every phone #, canceled every acct they had and moved.

Someone called me from 767-275-9198 and hung up after one ring. After reading the above article, I'm glad I didn't call them back.  I ran into this website by checking to see where the area code was. Apparently, it's from Dominica.

Prank Call
I got a called from this number and the person claimed to be Microsoft Windows technician and wanted to fix my computer.  I when to my Comcast calls and tried to screen this number and it was showing as an international number not able to be screened (7 672 759?06?8)  Not sure why were they really calling, then I checked and it's a number from Russia. I knew right away that Microsoft will not call me like that, and the person couldn't answer me some question like what type of computer I had or which operating system I was using.

Prank Call
Some one called me from 767-275-9068 and pretended to be technician from Microsoft and wanted me to go on my computer because there was a problem with windows. She wanted me to go on my computer and follow some steps.  I asked, which windows, they said any window, I asked again, if you know my computer and know who I am from Microsoft, you should know which type of computer and operating system I am using.  She couldn't answer me the question. Then she hanged up. Of course I knew from the beginning that it was a scam.  Someone needs to stop this callers.

I got a call from # 767-275-9068 from a guy with a thick Indian accent. I didn't catch his name, but he claimed that my computer had malware installed and that he was a representative from Windows here to help! I told him if he really was from Windows, then I can just go to the Windows site and get directions from there. He just sighed when i told him this and said, "look, i'll just tell you what to do- I won't be doing anything to your computer." I hung up on him. Pittiful-scum-of-the-earth two legged tapeworm of society!

Indian accent, said his (think it was a he) name was Jeremy.  Said that "you have a Windows operating system" and after I said yes, he asked what version and I said that "I think it is Windows 3.1 (circa old Windows)" and he/she hung up.  These people get forwarded calls from Windows when you 'share' an error message.  Never send error codes to Microsoft.  They try to get you to allow them to clean out your hard drives for viruses, etc.  Inevitably they will ask for a credit card number - hang up phone if this happens and report your findings here.  This person was trolling for an old person who may not know any better.  Tell your grand parents about it.  My phone identified the caller as "Shared Exch DM".

Same old scam, different number today. The caller claimed to be from technical support for Microsoft software.  In trying to explain how my computer was "being hampered from an infection", I was being patronized.  At one point I told him not to talk down to me.  After about ten minutes of questions from me that could not be answered to my satisfaction, the caller hung up.

this call was from a scammer. called our office.  stated our windows computers may have a virus and he would walk me through the steps to check.  i decided to waste his time and lead him on for a while, asking lots of questions, then i finally told him we no longer have computers.  he hung up then.
from other reports this appears to be a scammer from overseas.

go ahead and answer, they cant hurt you.
PRETEND to go along... of course you know he is TRYING to scam you... they try to get u to accept their invitation to sontrol your computer.... via remote desktop. Rgey aren't hackers... just little men (?) trying to find someone gullible. GO ALONG with him... I read back all the things he says, but a lil bit different. You can play along on ur computer, but dont hit the right buttons... IT DRIVES THEM UP THE WALL!
Bw nice, pretend ur senile... make up an accent... "get other family members" to come to the phone and start over. Trust me.... these infantile idiots are not smart, crafty or in any way able to get anything past you, if u have anything on the ball, at all.
Have Fun with him (?), maybe record it to have a snippet on ur cell phone ... BUT most importantly WASTE THEIR TIME and make them regret calling you!
I have a huge grin on may face for an hour every time.
