Bottom line is attorney's do collection matters as well.  You can hide behind the name "mediator" but you are trying to mediate a settlement of  debt that you bought.  One of our BK clients is being harassed and I left a voice mail for a company with a different name and then googled the phone number and here we are.  Thank you for posting the information now I can send a letter prohibiting contact.  Collections is the low life of law and they are trying different methods to violate the Fair Debt Collection Act.

I got a call from this phone number looked it up and seen all these comments ...this lady called me about some one I know that scams ppl and writes bad checks ...I know this for a fact so how can you say this is fraud??..maybe all these ppl who writes these checks are frauds..lol..I'm just saying you guys sound ridiculous and havnt a clue...anyways I called her back and gave her all this frauds info. Ha..hope he gets what's coming to him so if there is a bad check  I hope he goes right back to jail if he is not there already.I think if you write bad checks and cry about it when you get caught your are a idiot and deserve what you get and what ever troubles and embarrassment that may come along with it.

I actually had a check that I thought I'd paid off, but had actually left a balance on...It was a simple misunderstanding. If these companies have your information and are calling you, why don't you people just do what I did. Call your bank, verify that the check was returned. Then take the necessary steps to clear it up. I only made payment through RP Mediation Services and before giving them any information. I checked with the secretary of state and verified that they are a LEGITIMATE business. They didnt ask me for any of my personal information. I believe alot of the complaints Im reading here are from people that just don't have the money to pay which is why you guys are looking for so many reasons to poke holes!

I just recently had the same situation happen to me, I did my own investigation and found the following:

District Investigations contacted me and used the same methods as stated earlier, they then transfer you to a different company and that collects on the debt. It almost scripted cause DI first threatens you with legal actions and then somehow finds a flaw in your pending case they then tranfer you to somebody that can help (debt collector) by this time most people are scared and pay. There is TWO COPMANIES working together to obtain payment in your debt, both in my opinion are equally responsible for actions. Here is what I know:

Both companies use this tactic to strong arm debtors to pay when they don't have the funds, which puts you back in the same situation as before. You can do what I have done... First of all I have contacted my states Attourney Generals office and filed a complaint, I contact both DI's and RP's states Attourney Generals offices and filed complaints, I filed a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and will follow-up with the BBB. The tactics used are very extreme and warrant extreme measures to be taking. If you are a victim of this please contact the necessay officials and help stop this style of business. Many debtors are like me and our struggling to make ends meet, sooner or later they will find the wrong person and push them to far. We can stop this before it happens, but we must work together to expose the companies before many more victims will be affected.
