It is a call from the cloud. It is like a lightning bolt.
Signup for Azure, the cloud calls you.
Call the cloud, cloud hangs up on you.
Only in Soviet Russia can you call the cloud!

Has to be a call regarding Azure. _JUST_ signed up for free Azure trial about 30 minutes ago before getting the call.

Or it's just telemarketing, as the two other answers suggest.

That matches my behaviour exactly.
Microsoft Azure Trial -> call from this number but hangup before answering.

I got a missed call from them today - and yesterday I signed up to a trial account with Microsoft Azure. I'm assuming the call was in relation to that.

Called me in Iceland.
A woman saying something about calling from Microsoft as a part of a... call got cut for some reason.
In my case it's probably because of Microsoft Azure.

I'm in the UK and I got a call from this US-based number.
The person on the other end was a distinctly Asian sounding woman who claims they were calling on behalf of "the Microsoft Windows". This is a very popular scam that is run out of India where tech support companies are exploiting those without such a technological know-how into paying for expensive technical support programs.
If you receive a call from this number either hang up immediately, or if you really generous, stall them for time and go round in circles as this will give them less time to scam someone vulnerable.

Number keeps calling me almost everyday.
When i call back I ask for operator by pressing 0, but it hangs up on me every time.
they also call from a 678-905-2203 number as well. When they call I answer and they hang up but I hear other people on phones.

Had a missed call from them at work, called them back and it was like miriel described above.
"please wait for the operator.." then a few seconds of "Pachelbel's Canon" and then hung up.

Got a call from Microsoft (read: telemarketer calling on behalf of Microsoft) as a part of the support program for their cloud service (Microsoft Azure). Nothing dangerous about this number unless you are allergic to friendly females :)

Discovered a missed call from this number, recognized the area code for Atlanta, called it back since i have friends there... got an automated call director, pressed 0 for operator (per instructions) and it played music for about 15 seconds then hung up on me.
No idea what they wanted from me, but apparently was not one of my friends... :p

Guy called, saying he was from Dell, asking to speak with my server team. Google says this number is actually from a company called N3. Put the caller on permanent hold for being a stinking liar.
