This number had a recording that said"Hello I have a call for you" I hung up because there was not one on the line

I took y'alls advice and called the number provided above and they've put me on the 'Do Not Call' list! I appreciate the info! I had taken my vehicle in for collision repair, this one a Chevy dealership in Montrose, Ohio, shortly after the calls started.

You would think that if they were going to waste their time to call they'd at least say something instead of hanging up. From 26 Nov, til today multiplied by 3-5 times a day is A LOT of wasted annoying time and resources.

One solution is to assign the number to your phone book and assign that number no ring or vibration. May not stop the prank calls, but removes the immediate annoyance.

I also called 770 449 1758, and they agreed to take me off the list within 24 hours. It is a Toyota dealer system, but I don't know if it's because I totalled my Toyota recently or because I'm on the mailing list for the Toyota dealer locally. Either way, I'll post comment if it doesn't discontinue within 24 hours, and frankly I find it unacceptable that this happened in the first place.

I have ATT and I get the phone calls from this number sometimes 3 times a day!

I have the same thing happening as the above comments.  Has Verizon sold our numbers to someone?  They promised NOT to when I purchased the phone and service which is one reason I went with their company.  I am glad that I Googled this annoyance to see that I am NOT alone.  I guess I will have to put my cell phone on a Do Not Call list, but I really don't like the number on any list!!

I recently had sevice done on my truck and these people called me doing a survey on how the service was from Mossy Toyota Collision center in San Diego.

They called me a few times in the past week and when I answer they say "Please hold while we connect you to someone" (or something like that). I would just hang up because who the heck calls me and puts me on hold right away... I don't have time for that.

Same thing happens to me...no one leaves a message and then when I try to call the number back, it just rings and rings.

Calls often.  Usually no one is on the line.  Today this number called and there was an automated message that said please hold someone wants to speak to you.

Everyday at the same time I receive calls from this number. It's very annoying when you return the call and it only rings.

Every day sometimes 2 times. I could punch someone in the face the bastards.

Same thing, it hangs up when I answer and just rings when I call back. Wierd, it's an Atlanta area code and I live on the West Coast!!

I've had two or three missed calls from this number on my "pay as you go" phone. I just called the number referenced and they say they are removing me from their list. Thanks to whoever dug this info up!!!

I have received several calls from this number. I have never answered, but I did attempt to call back and the phone rang forever.

I  just got my first call today. Like everybody else, tried calling back and got no answer. I have verizon, and had a car accident before... This is weird!

I have not been to any car repair shop or anything to do with Toyota and these calls just started a few days ago on my cellphone ,I'm with AT&T also. I've obly had this new number for a few weeks now ,it is HIGHLY annoying .I call back and it just rings and rings for me too .I'll call the number that ya'all have posted to get it to stop .THANKS .

Thanks so much for the info! I recently had my car in at Pedersen Volovo Collision in Fort Collins, CO (don't ever go there by the way) and these calls started. No one is ever there when I answer and when I call it back it says the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. I just called 770-449-1758 and the lady put me on the do not call list. I work nights and if I forgot to put my phone on silent, it would wake me up. It was pissing me off getting called all the time by these stupid people! Hopefully it will stop now!

CALL AN AVERAGE OF 8 TIMES A DAY, ALL HOURS OF THE DAY EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. TRIED TO HAVE THIS NUMBER BLOCKED, BUT IT WAS GOING TO COST $5 A MONTH, WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same deal, my scion xb, was hit 45 days ago, calls every day since!!!

Calls about 3 times a day at different times during the day.  I call back and it says this number has been disconnected.  It's annoying!!!

Same deal, I took my truck to a dealer in Montrose, Ohio for some body work. This number kept popping up on my phone and they would never answer. No messages nothing. I did talk to them once and it was a survey asking my opinion about the work performed. I took the survey and then they still kept calling me. Thanks for the help. I called the "other" number and had them put me on their do not call list.

Kept getting calls from this number after having service done on my Buick. I guess this is a company that many auto repair shops use to have surveys done on their customers.

I started getting these phone calls the other day, they called about 3 times and then the next day they started calling again....Very strange. No one on the other line. Its so annoying.

This is from Spectrum Services, they do customer surveys for any number of companies. You can call their main office and ask to be removed. I was cautioned by the gal I talked to though, if you have ANY work done at an auto dealership (in my case Toyota) they put you on the list to do the survey. SO, she advised that you tell your service center to make sure you are NOT on the list for survey calls. She said that if you ask to have your number removed it will take effect at 12am the following morning. She also said that their dialer is "acting up" so perhaps thats why the multiple calls and no one on the other end of the line. She also did say if you dont answer that prompts the dialer to call you back in aprox 1 hour or so. Maybe if they dont quit calling, I say we ALL use the after 5 pm number and bother them all night long by just calling and not saying anything or doing our own random surveys!

Calls from this number averaging 5 times a day... NEVER anyone on the other line!  And if I redial back, just rings and rings... no voice mail, no answering machine, nothing.  Does someone just have way too much time and money on their hands???
