I just got the same call asking for the same info. I didn't give them anything, I hung up and called Verizon the customer service rep said many subscribers are getting those calls and that they were fraudulent.

Got the call from 770-250-2084.  I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize it.  Came here to check
as always and sure enough, here it is... another auto dial or something.  Glad for this service to check
numbers against though.

Yes. Had a call from a local number like that. I answered and a cheerful sounding female wants to know if I got my (Large denomination) jewelry store (name I never heard) gift certificate. I say no. And she claims they sent it to an address I might have lived at many years ago. I tell her I don't live there and she cheerfully asks for my new address. I tell her there's no way I am giving her my address. She then asks where she CAN send me the gift certificate and I tell her to keep it and hang up. I am assuming it's more debt collector tricks trying to collect a debt that I don't owe due to identity fraud committed against me back in the 90's.

Basically it's like this:

NEVER give your address to any one who CALLS YOU and you'll be fine. All the legitimate places who you owe money are never going to have a problem remembering where to send your bills.

How about this one, I just got a call from 770-250-0645 it rang 3 times then disconnected. Within seconds I got a call from 770-250-2081. it rang 3 times and disconnected, Then a few seconds later I got another call from 770-250-2084, same result, 3 rings and a disconnect. That is not the way any respectable company would do business. All 3 of those numbers are listed on this web site, go figure?

I answered this call and they said they were Verizon and wanted to confirm my mailing address.  Said they sent mail to my house and it was sent back.  I told them I would check my info on their website and make sure it was correct, which it was.  Maybe someone trying to get info.  ???

Got a call from the number.  Didnt awnser and they didnt leave a message.  Good to know that it was better that i didnt awnser it.

I got the same number calling my cell just a bit ago. (770) 250.2084

I called the number back and got a recording ( sounded like a Verizon recording )

BUT-  it could be just a duplicate.

The recording started out talking about Blackberry Curve then just stopped.. Went silent but was still on the line so I hung up and called again.

This time the recording started out as though it was already playing saying something about you can check your minutes by dialing - Then it just stopped again and again nothing, but was still on the line until I hung up..

My conclusion : SCAM -  

Verizon wireless recordings are more professional - They do not just stop mid stream..!

Most scams like this,

When you answer, your phone number goes on a list

When you don't answer, but call back the number, there caller ID takes your number and it goes on a list

When you simply do nothing at all, no answer, no call backs, no contact what so ever, they move on because now your wasting there time and money?

Just be careful, there are so many scams out there and new ones every day?

Got a call from 770-250-2084 just now and got one from 770-250-2238 about a month ago. Probably a scam. This seems to be happening pretty frequently.

said it was verizon wireless but sounded fishy even though she knew my name, she said they were calling because they sent mail to my address & it was returned, I told her I get mail from verizon and its an effort and she wanted me to confirm my address etc & I told her no thanks and not to call again about the address & she blew her cover & got mad and told they'll call and theres nothing i can do about it so obviously a scam of some kind

I keep getting calls from this number.  I comes up with no name not even restricted or anything.   I only get them occasionally.  Would like to know where they are from.  No response just a lot of breathing and back ground noise.

I get occasional calls from this number. There is either no one there when I answer or they just hang up when I answer. This has been going on for months and is getting annoying

I called this number back and got a brief recording that sounded like a cell phone company advertising the Driod cell phone.  I think its Verizon but I have no idea why they are calling me - Ive received multiple calls over the past month.
