This is a scam number. It called me several times and hung up and i called verizon and they said it is a scam and blocked the numbers for me. It says they try to get social security numbers and names and addresses to steal identities. beware.

Got a call from this number 770-250-2087, and I didn't answer because I didn't recognize it. Within 45 secs to 1 minute later 770-250-2086 number calls. Did not answer that one either. I am seeing that people are saying this is a verizon number.....I don't have VERIZON. Something is very peculiar about this. I will continue to not answer these calls.

You all are missing out.  I got a call today from this number.  I called it back and got a recording saying choose 1 for and choose 2 for and etc. I pressed 4 for trunk groups. Than a recording came on asking to enter the truk group number.  I hacked a few numbers 3 digits at a time.  I entered 001 and it put me in monitor mode.  I WAS LISTENING TO LIVE CALLS FROM CUSTOMERS TO VERIZON CUSTOER CARE CENTER.  NAMES, PHONE NUMBERS, LAST 4 OF SOC. SEC NMBRS AND PASSWORDS!  WHAT A BREACH IN SECURITY!!! When the calls are over it asks to enter another nmbr. 011 and 012 and 013 also work!

I got a call from this #, thought I recognized it, and put in in my search engine. Turns out this is a Verizon #. The call is legit. I always get a call from this # when my account is past due, which is ALMOST every month :(
Don't give any information over the phone if you feel uncomfortable about it. You can always call Verizon and give them the correct info, if it's necessary, or correct it online. Even though I know the call is legit, I'd still feel better calling customer service myself and updating my info.

I just got a call from this number claiming they were from Verizon Wireless, saying that they need to verify my address because a bill came back to them mail returned.
She said she needs to just verify that they have correct address, so I said ok what address do you have? she's like see ma'am we aren't able to give you that information, and then I said well then I'm not able to verify it, and hung up.  Thought it was a very weird call.

Got a call from this number claiming to be Verizon Wireless. Was asking to confirm my address. Immediately after receiving the call I logged into my Verizon account to see that the correct address was already there.

I fear this was a scam call.

I dunno who is calling from 770-250-2086 but I do know that it is a landline number, not a cellphone, out of Marietta, GA. Found this out doing a reverse number look up. Public Records will give the name via Intellus, a sort of background checker website, but didn't want to pay the fee for full information.

Just tried to call 770-250-2086 back to see who had called me earlier, got part of a message about a blackberry, then the call disconnected: no I.D. for the number's owner.  I thank you for the advice of it possibly being a scam call.  I'm glad I didn't answer their call earlier.

first got a call from 779-400-5179 asking for my name, which I refused to give. the woman claimed to be calling her "other phone."  I though it was a legit mistake. but then, two days later, the call from 770-250-2086 (number discussed here) and the same woman (voice!) claimed to be verizon representative, asking for my address. don't know what's going on, but absolutely a scam. people here who claim it is legit verizon number are probably cons too.

Keep calling myself and spouse, no message left.

I had a missed call from this number   (8;25pm)

Caller claimed to be Verizon Wireless asking for my address to confirm it as "mail was returned" ... I told them that I only receive electronic statements because I have never received a paper bill from Verizon. Also, I recently did receive an advertisement for the new Droid via the mail so I KNOW that my address is correct in their system anyway.

She said she was going to "note in my account that I receive electronic statements only."

I'd recommend not giving them ANY of your personal information.

I got the same call this morning. I also received some mail 2 days and she said if I don't want to verify my address with her that I should just call *611.  I reported the number to Verizon and they took a screen shot of this website and they will look into the situation.

Called while i was in school. left no message. showed it was a number from outside of Atlanta, GA.

Called & didn't leave a message. I suggest you all block this number from your phone and absolutely do not provide them with any personal info. This is clearly somebody trying to steal your identity.

It's pretty dumb for a company to have their number unpublished. If they take measures to make sure that their number does not show who they are when they callme, then obviously I will take measures to not answer it and block it. Verizon executives are obviously unintelligent.

Just called verizon after receiving this phone call. It is a legit number from verizon.

Same thing had happen tonight. What would happen if I gave them my address?

got a call from this number and they said it was verizon. since my brother's name is on the account and i know its a scam i said i was him to see what they wanted. they wanted my address so i gave them a fake address and called my brother right after i hung up with them to let him know about it. i had him check the account online and the billing address had been changed to the fake one that i provided but my brother just changed it back to his address. not sure if it is a scam or not since the account info was changed on the website but its just fun to mess with them knowing its a scam

I just received a call from this number also claiming to be Verizon. I just received a bill so I know they have my correct address.  This is scary. Be aware. Never give out your address or personal info on the phone!

Call claiming to be Verizon and that a bill had been returned. I asked for verification, told me that i would get a text message after they updated my information.  Total phishing scam.

Called twice.  First time I did not answer.  Second time I answered and they wanted my address because of returned mail.  I did not give it to them. I checked my verizon acct and my address was correct.  I called the number back, heard music, then it hung up on me.

Received call on my cell then house phone, left no message on either.  comes up a GA number out of Atlanta.

I have had three calls from this number in two days, twice to my cell and once to my house. No messages left, they just hang up.
