I missed the call and immediately received a text message telling me to update my billing address online through Verizon.  Sure enough, when looking on my Verizon account, I noticed they forgot to include my apartment number when I signed up for my new phone.  It seems to be an automated system that calls and texts people when they receive returned mail.  If you get a call, either go online to your account and verify your entire address, go into a store and verify it, or call customer service.  But calling the number won't do you any good because it's a computer doing the notifying.

I received a call from a person who said they were from Verizon.  They said my verison mail was being returned because of a bad address.  I have had this same address and verizon for 12 years and I asked why it was now different.  I can only assume someone at Verizon changed my address.  I would like to know if this was indeed a call from Verizon or from someone trying to get my po box number.

Caller from GA. No message. Multiple calls from this number. I am on the Do Not Call Registry. How do I make these calls stop?

I receved a call from this number telling me that my computer was trying to be hacked n to open my control panel and go to some settings but I hang up on them when they started asking me to connect to something so they can fix it for me .. it was fishy wat if they wanted to get my information that I have put online in purchasing something so be careful..

I just got the call too... left no message.  It is 8:06pm.. really????

got this call on my verizon phone- missed it and no message- honestly, don't care if its legit or not- there is no informnation that verizon doesn't already have that they would need to verify- especially from atlanta. let the local office call with a person I can verify, otherwise, none of their business and not worth the risk of giving out. end of story!

Keep getting calls from this number on our cell phones.  Look up says the number belongs to Marietta Georgia ... someone/something ....

I am contacting the service provider to have their service terminated.

RATIONALE:  Based on the number and type of comments of a similar nature and based on the fact that we are on the National Do Not Call Register.  Since the user cannot be reached in an effort to terminate the calls in a "gentle" manner ... service termination request is the next step.

Hope we will all enjoy cell service free of harrassment in the very near future.

Have a CA number.  Have received mult. calls from this number.  Guy claimed to be from Verizon, saying my mail couldn't be delivered and wanted to verify my address.  Wouldn't tell me which address they were using, so I hung up.  Checked online, and Verizon has my proper address, so I guess it's a scam.

i'm getting calls from this number and from 770-250-0441, neither are leaving messages and when i call back, i reach an automative message about mobile service with music, that cuts off everytime after ten seconds.  my issue is, if this is really verizon, why aren't they leaving messages?  i never answer numbers i don't know, anytime that verizon has called me in the past, they have left a message.  my other question is why is someone from the atlanta area calling me?  i'm in florida, i usually deal with someone in the same state at least.  hopefully this situation gets resolved soon.

Received this call yesterday... used *611 today to find out if they were really Verizon. I was told that Verizon DID call me the previous day to verify address information. I stated I was surprised because I had started to give my address and then stopped... telling them that if they were really Verizon, they already had that information and I could verify what they have. She couldn't give me the address so I hung up. I inquired about this today and CS stated they aren't allowed to give out information and that she understands why that would send up red flags and that it's perfectly acceptable to call them to verify the information instead of giving it then... since there are so many scams out there today. So, this IS a Verizon phone number and it IS a LEGIT call.

Got a call from this number, have gotten them in the past.  No caller on other end. Called it and got connected to interstitial music, music died, no one ever came on the other end.  Hung up after 20 seconds.

That number called me. Said it was verizon. Hung up with them and called verizon. They verified that it in fact was a verizon number calling to update my address. It's legit.

They just called my cell phone, I hung up after realizing it was some sort of telemarketer, they haven't called back yet.
