This number keeps calling and giving me info about my ex huband

I called it back,   got the Verizon payment center.   Did not talk to anyone just the computer.   they asked me to pay using the bank account number on file.  gave me last 4 numbers of the bank account.  I hung up called Verizon using the cellphone pymt number.   sure enough same message,  all was same.  so I paid them.   Then I called Verizon about the other number 770 ###-####     they said it was a local collection number for the phone as well.    legit verizon number.

I had a missed call from this number. So I called back, it said to monitor by agent press 1, to monitor by trunk id press 2 and so on and so forth.

I got a call from this number today around 5...they started by asking to speak to my husband, and I said I was his wife, they asked for my name. I gave it to them, they had both of our names apparently...and then went on to say they were Teresa from Verizon Wireless and they were calling to verify my mailing address. They said that they had sent a confirmation letter to my address, but it had been returned by my local PO. Well, I got all my verizon mailings JUST FINE, up until I went to electronic delivery 2 months ago. I had a call from 770-250-2082 yesterday that I looked up and found someone saying they had the exact thing happen to them that I had from this number...but I called Verizon and asked them and they said it was NOT them. So BEWARE!

I recieved a call today from this number and I answered. Sounded at first like the person was fumbling with the phone for a minute and then asked for someone else. I told this "verizon" caller that she had the wrong number and she said, are you sure? If it was Verizon, the company that handles my account they wouldn't be asking for someone other than myself. Very odd. She hung up once I said she had the wrong phone number.

Received call from 770-250-2088 at 10 33 AM . I did not answer. No message left. I googled the number and was informed that it is a telemarketing company in Atlanta, GA.

I just received three phone calls that start with 770-250-XXXX. The last four numbers were all different on the three phone calls I got. They didn't a message and the phone only rang three times and then hang up. I didn't call back. Instead I looked up the number online and found this forum.  Thank you to everyone who posted and gave me the heads up before I called back or answered. I don't know if Verizon is giving out customer numbers but I just paid my Verizon cell phone bill and then started receiving these calls.

Just wondering if you have girlfriends, you may want to investigate this number further....

My daughter got this call from someone saying they were Verizon.  They asked which phone line was mine. 2 weeks later my phone number my daughters phone number and my husbands has been getting calls from 10/s of people calling us and stating our phones have been calling them over and over soliciting. They call us angry telling us to stop calling.

Hey, Dumb...............yea, you!! Your an idiot. We all have a common problem and it's calls from this phone number. People are just stating that they have also received the unwanted calls. Go back to your class room and learn a little about not being so stupid.

My husband got a call from this number while he was at work. So glad I checked this site. Will make sure he does not answer or call back as this seems to be a bogus phishing scam. Will also alert Verizon. Thanks to everyone who posted this.

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP INDEED!! I've gotten 3 called from them, but don't answer numbers I don't know. I just figured it was a bill collector for previous numbers owner, but this is worse. Damn lazy scammers! GET A REAL JOB

770-250-2085 was the number

got a call, did not answer, no message. googled it and ended up here. i am a verizon customer but not in georgia.

I GOT SEVERAL CALLS FROM THEM CALL BACK AND NOTHING JUST A COMPUTER THAT PLAY VERIZION COMMERCIALS. I CALLED BACK TODAY AND COULD HEAR A PERSON DIALING AND TURNING THE COMPUTER ON.

LEGIT CALL from Verizon Wireless.  She provided my name and said this was a courtesy call to ensure I knew that my email address on my account was recently changed.  I HAD recently made this change (maybe 3 days prior).  She requested no personal information and was extremely polite.

Got the call today, and i told him i am not comfortable to tell him my info..then he laughed..i am sure it is not verizon cs.

I got a call from this number, claiming they were Verizon Wireless. They said that mail had been returned and would like to verify my address. I suspected a scam, so I told them I would do it online later. Sure enough, the address on my online profile IS correct, so mail certainly hadn't been returned.

770 250 2087 is a legitimate Verizon Wireless number. When I talked to customer service yesterday the guy said he would ring me back today at 2pm to complete a purchase of an iPhone 4S, which he did. It was the same guy I spoke to yesterday. I guess it would help if it came up as Verizon Wireless on the Caller ID.

I got a call from this number yesterday but didn't pick up. The message was weird because they spoke Spanish and asked if I was a bilingual counselor, and made it sound like there was a job opening available. Then, when I try to return the call, I get a weird piece of a Verizon ad for about 5 seconds and then it automatically hangs up. 770-250-2088

Just a heads up:

I recently moved and didn't update my address. I've never answered any of these calls, but I did just update my address on Verizon's website.

I'm just saying that a lot of this adds up to it being a number from Verzion to update your address.
