I just got the same message from a investigator name Kate bennett a.k.a hammer its all a scam

Just received a call at work from this number.  He asked if I knew about charges that have been filed against me for check fraud.  I told him no and to quit calling me at work.  Then I hung up.  If there were charges I think I would have heard since I have a neighbor that is a deputy with the sheriff's department and a nephew that is a policeman.  So far he has not called back.  Wonder why?  Could it be that he is the one commiting  fraud?!

received 2 calls from this number. When I called back it said was voicemail for Kate Bennett.

i have received the same call as well........just got the call.................its a fake collections number from a Kate Bennett.........the problem is if it was a real collections agency they would get a hold of you via snail mail first with a 30 day notice.....they have to do that by law...... it needs to be a written notice first then phone calls ..... block the calls and always check here to see if its legit .....

I got a voicemail yesterday afternoon from an investigator wright. I have recieved several calls from this same number, always stating that they are contacting me re: possible check fraud. if it were check fraud it would be definite not a possibility and they say to call or have my attorney call. I have been getting these calls for several months. if you were being sued you would receive notification from the courts via postal mail and if you had an outstanding warrant, an officer would inform you im sure during any routine traffic stop.

this is investigator Right. I need either you or your attorney to contact me about possible check fraud 7703226305 didnt even ask to speak to the person involved or give a name. the number is from georgia.

I just got a message at my work number..just left the number.  Part of the message must have been cut off.  I just deleted it from my corporate vm.

Both my husband and I have recieved numerous phone calls reqarding check fraud, as well as a warrant out for arrest. The person calling uses a  message saying I need to contact them or have my attorney contact them.  When I return their phone call I only get a recording to leave a message.  My husband and do not have checks to write so therefore we could not have commited any crime.  I would like for these calls to stop harrassing me and my husband.  Its really starting to make us both really mad!!!!

Same thing, never mentions my name. I think this is a collections agency from a payday loan I paid off years ago and have been fighting since because the collections agency that handled it had sold out to another company and they want to collect again.

I called them back over a dozen times until finally they caved and dropped the "act". Thieves!

Has called twice in the last two days.

- Left the SAME SCRIPTED MESSAGE in two voicemails:
- Claims to be "Investigator Taylor"
- Claims to be calling about possible check fraud
- Claims to have a "pending warrant" on his desk"
- Claims to need a statement from you, as soon as possible.

I have now blocked his number on my phone.

If this was a legit call about fraud, he'd know my name and wouldn't say the same message,
