They can't keep you from filing bankruptcy...The gall of these people...They're the real terrorists!

I am sitting home recovering from surgery...only to have my recovery disturbed by these fake investigators...I called the 800 number left at my job.  I got some loser on the phone who accused me of being a criminal and that I was going down because I am a thief..whatever!!!!!  Anyway..I contacted the FTC and local law enforcement after this "Jason Greenberg" called me several times and threatened me.  Hope you're reading this a***hole!!!  I really wish we could get a grip on these foreigner scam artists...This guy claims he's French Canadian..and that the FTC couldn't help me.  BTW..the number is 800-298-7151.

They are harrassing my wife using her old name. The called her current husbands parents looking for her phone number

just got a message from them a Miss Tomlin..she has a profile with her picture online..wth? I didn't talk to her..

Got a call from and "Investigator Starks" of P&A Investigations Division.  Very threatening.  Number comes back to Purdie and Assoc.  I looked them up.  Here is there company slogan   "If you write a BAD CHECK you will pay one way or another. We will get restitution for our clients, if it's VOLUNTARILY or INVOLUNTARILY."  It has been over 10 yrs since I had a bad check  and it was paid.   They sound slimy...

I received a call from a  very rude person who identified herself as "Investigator Starks", she wanted contact information on a relative of mine. I simply asked her to repeat her name and give me her telephone number again, and she became even ruder, provided the info, anjd abruptly ended the call. This person should not be working with the public, her behavior / demeanor is in no way an indicator of a person who has been trained do excute her job appropriately. My husband & I are both senior citizens, have earned the right to be retired after service in our careers, and deserve the right not to be harassed by uneducated  imbeciles like "Investigator Starks".

Got a message from Investigator Stark (a woman), from PNA Investigations, and an URGENT matter requires my immediate attention.  I have no CC debt, my car is payed off, I pay my bills in full every month and pay cash for just about everything.  This is not the first time I've gotten calls like this.  I have gotten calls at my last 2 duty stations, from businesses and debt collectors looking for a woman that I did not know.  They were belligerent, threatened me, and demanded that I produce this woman.  Oh well.  I would have to find a woman with that name first.  I'm not returning the call.  If this is for real, then they would contact me at work or my chain of command.

Please, please PLEASE listen to this!  This company just literally stole $400.00 from me.  Told me that I didn't pay a payday loan debt.  I looked up my credit report today, nothing from them even on my credit report.  I told them I was filing bankruptcy and they told me I couldn't do it.  I gave them a good faith $50.00 out of fear they would come after me for the money.  They stole from me and they will pay.

I just received a call from this number. First it made me think like what did i do but than i thought i will check it out on google for the reason that it is an out of area number. I came across with all of this postings that says it is a scam. I am glad i did look it up. Everyone look out and always google it first before you believe it and you give any more information.

The so called Starks Lady said she was from P & A investigative division!

I received a call from this so called Investigator "Starks" they left a message on our answering machine stating they were doing an investigation that needed my attention immediately. Of course my mom was worried and I said it could be a scam. I googled the name and number and came across this sight. I believe it is a scam based on the information I read above. We tried to call the number back while blocking our number. The answering machine stated this is Investigator Starks please leave a message after the beep. No one answered. What kind of Company is this? I read different answers. Please and Thank You!

Same woman Investigator Starks called me.  She claims to be an investigator but investigators do not work with you to collect a debt.  This is a debt collector and each individual is misrepresenting themselves as an investigator.  I advised her that I needed a fax# and physical address so that I could send her a *Cease and Desist* Letter to keep her from contacting me at work.  This is a debt collector and if you listen to the disclaimer that she reads at the beginning of the conversation you will know it.

I received a call from an Inspector Starks from this number claiming she was trying to collect from a company that I owe a debt too from 2008, well after I did my investigating on my end I found that that the so call debt was already paid that I got a call from back in June from a Lawyer firm that is legitate.  These people need to be stopped harrassing people and scaring the heck out of you.  If you get a call from this number do not call it or if you have a lawyer let them make the call for you.

"investigator staks" calls my grandma earlier in the week trying to contact my mom earlier this week. my mom calls bac and leaves a message and the lady tries to say that my mom took a loan out of money and more and that if she didnt pay $100 by the following day at 2p.mshe would have a warrant out 4 my moms arrest and she would b going 2 georgia and prosecuted. mom is all worried but when she told me the story, starks had told her that she couldnt send money and she had 2 either do it on debit card or a prepaid credit card and mom had 2 give her all of her informaton. really lady? u may wanna come up w/ a better story next time. she couldnt even give us proof she was from a real company. we knew something wasnt right so we had grandma look it up and this is the site she found. i hope the law catches her and she does hard time!

I received a call from this # stating that I had committed check fraud back in 2007 because I had gotten a payday loan of some sort and then closed the bank account before the company could obtain their money back. When i started asking probing questions, about the bank account, etc, she could not provide me with the requested information, but only insisted that I give her my debit card # right away to clear this matter up. I refused and she became IRATE with me and again continually reminded me that she wanted my card #. I ended up hanging up on her and havent heard back from her.

CALLED STATEING THAT I WILL PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST IF I DID NOT GIVE THEM MONEY FOR A PAYDAY LOAN I HAD IN 2006 FOR CHECK FRAUD INVESTIGATOR STARK TALKED NICE TO ME TILL I SAID I WAS NOT PAYING THEM SAID THERE GOING AHEAD COURT SHE HUNG UP ON ME TWICE VERY RUDE ,ALSO I LIVE IN NC WERE PAYDAY LOANS ARE ILLEGAL SINCE 2006 STILL WAITING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS LET YOU ALL KNOW SOON

yes got a call from a investigator stark who was a women saying i had to pay on a payday loan from the internet from 2006 or be charged with check fraud can they do that

I received a call from this fake investigator Starks, She stated that i was being investigated for fraudulent checks related to a Payday loan. She said if i gave her my credit card number she could resolve the matter. I cursed her out and hung up. I called her back, told her i wanted to settle the matter she got exited and asked again for my credit card. I told her i did not have one and could send a check. She refused the check. She said i could pay by money gram or a credit card purchased at a store. I insisted on using money gram but she then said she could not accept a money gram only a credit card. ha ha ha Scared of a paper trail. I reported this to the FTC, my local law enforcement and Georgia law enforcement.

They are debt collectors but they choose to piss people off or scare them into giving information. Got a call today from Investigator Stark asking for my brother in law from my first marriage. She wouldn't tell me what it was about or why they were calling me so I didn't give her the number of the place he's working at under the table. Oh well, shouldn't have hung up on me, I guess.

This Stark lady is calling people up because our frickin husbands or others in our household made 1800 calls to a bunch of sl.ts on the phone and now they owe them money. It cost my husband 500 bucks for a hour and a half of calls! I researched all the calls and such to find all this out. Don't fall for her being an investigator...shes lying. She told me when i called back that my husband was related to someone named Tonya and needed to speak to my husband immediately. If you are reading this--MRS STARK---kiss my butt cuz you wont see a dime of my money! Lets be mad at our husbands to ladies, because they can be a bunch of idiots also. All that is on late at night is these sleazes on the TV commercials asking you to call them!

Got a call from investigator Starks from P & A investigative division. Stupid me I call back first thing she asks is my name...I tell her.... she asks do I know Rico Somebody and I say No have never heard of him EVER... She says then disregard this call and hangs up. I call back After finding this web site and confront her for misrepresentation on her part she got irate and hung up on me. Called again and her supervisor tells me she will file harassment charges on me... What a bunch of garbage. Don't fall prey, and don't make my mistake and give your name...hope it ends here

Called and claimed it was an investigator, this time from a woman, where others say a man calls.

I thought it was a scam also.  But I looked up Purdie & Associates online and there was a 866... #.  They answered, knew Investigator Starks, and appear to be legitimate.  They were looking for someone I knew and I believe they are legitimate.  I informed them of Inv. Starks hanging up the phone in the face and reports of her doing that from this website and they said they'd talk to her about that.  So they do seem legit.

I just got a call from Investigator Stark from this number asking for my daughter. I get a call from this number almost everyday but I don't answer but decided to today. She was saying my daughter was in serious trouble with the law and they need to hear from her today. I'm glad I did a search on this number. FAKE...FRAUD!!! These people need to be reported and stopped!!!!

I have received the SAME call from Investigator Stark. Same excat line. KNowing that I am not in trouble for anything but having an illegal use my social security number, I decided to look this up first before I called. I have debt but debt collectors HAVe to state they are attempting to collect a debt. These people are trying to scare people and need to be reported and stopped. Who should I report it too?

YES I GOT A CALL TO FROM INVESTIGATOR STARK STATING THAT IF I DIDNT RETURN THE CALL I WAS GOING TO GET IN TROUBLE AND BE PUT IN JAIL. MAY 27 I GET A CALL FROM INVESTIGATOR STARK SAYING THAT SHE HAD SOME PAPERWORK FOR ME TO SIGN AND I HAD ASK WHY AND SHE SAID THAT MY FINE WAS PAID FOR AND I ASKED HER WHY AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME THEN I CALLED MY BANK THEY SAID A COMPANY BY THE NAME OF PURIDIE & ASSOCIATES HAD TOOK 794 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT... MY WHOLE THING IS HOW DID THEY GET MY CARD NUMBER WHEN MY WALLET GOT STOLEN WITH ALL MY INFO IN IT THEN THE BANK IS TELLING ME I CNT GET IT BACK SO I FILE IDENTITY THEFT WITH THE POLICE STATION... IT'S NOT FAIR THAT COMPANIES LIKE THIS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE'S MONEY AND HARASSING THEM ON THE PHONE THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT AT ALL.

It's a fraud, they screw you over and you have to call the Atlanta, ga police dept. Like I did he screwed me over saying I had a impending debt and blah blah it was not they will screw you over henisnt even a investigator he emptied my account you need to call and report the number!

I just received a voicemail from this same person. Glad I googled the number and saw the comments out here.
