I continue to get calls from this number about being investigated for check fraud! I do not have a checking account and they continue with the calls. I have told them several times to STOP the calls!

I have been getting these calls for a couple if weeks now. They need to be stopped!!!!!

Got one today also but it was tax fraud..

call came from 770-485-8890, claiming that they had a warrant, told them to come on over and bring coffee.

I have been receiving the same voice message. I have not returned the call. The call actually comes from different numbers in Georgia. First of all, I don't even live in Georgia and have never been to Georgia or done business with anyone in Georgia so why would there be a warrant for me in Georgia? Secondly like it has been stated above they do not even state who they are calling for. Every few months I get some kind of call like this and they will harass me for a couple of weeks and then they will stop calling for awhile. I don't understand how they get my information but what I do wonder is has anyone ever had any experience from this that is actually anything truthful or is this really just a scam?

"Inspector Cornet"  is a complete BI***!  She keeps calling my house and looking for someone who doesn't live here.  I have explained several times that she has the wrong number.  Today I finally got nasty with her and she was unapologetic for her continuous harassment.  LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB!!!!  

"Inspector" Cornett was the name she left on my vm - when I called back it was "Ms. Cornett, can I help you?"....would not give me company name or any info - did speak with someone who said they were a supervisor -said they were looking me up on the "Homeland Security wanted list" - huh - just from my name....first and last...no social...no nothing else...and within MINUTES...back with a clearance to talk....they're a law firm...total scam....just ignore them.

I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been happening to me non stop for about 2 months now. The first call I got was a little over a year and a half ago. I was foolish enough to assume it might have been something my ex had done so I paid them $1100. The second call - last November - now it is almost daily. This is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have been getting calls multiple times a week from this person.  I have spoken to them twice and they ask for a someone I have never heard of, promise to take me off their list then begin calling again.

I asked what company she worked for and she refused to say claiming since I was not the person she was looking for I was not allowed to know this information.

I told her that her name is number is all over the Internet as being a scam and that I would report the next call to my local police department.  She got irate and hung up on me.

Just got a message from an Investigator Cornett, didnt say who they needed to speak with and my vm doesnt list a name, I don't write checks and she asked for a lawyer.  Bogus scam.

SAMMY & others, this is a scam.   I do not owe anything and receive these calls too.

I got the same call...i think its creditor trying to get u to pay so they will say anything for you to call them back....Do not return there call!  Creditor trying to get u to pay.

just got one too inspector coronet they don't even know my name saying iam being looked at for check fraud wow was a lil scary till I read the posts on this site thank everybody for letting me in on it ! have a blessed day!

Recieved a call from this number. It was a woman calling herself Investigator Cornett and that there was an investigation about possible check fraud. Either myself or my attorney needs to return the call. Never said who they were looking for. Called the number back and got a voice mailbox for Mr. Braxton. How are you suppose to know legit calls from bogus calls!?

I have no idea who these people are, but I got the same call about check fraud.  These people need to be stopped.

My teenage daughter got this same call with same message.

Just got this same call from this number today and they left a voice mail not starring whom they were looking for but said they were investigator someone or other and that I needed to contact them cuz I was being investigated for check fraud, first of all they didn't say who they were calling from or who they were looking for! Second I have been called before with people saying this! I'm sick of them trying to threaten me into paying money that I don't owe.  I haven't wrote a check in almost 8 years so you know this is a scam they are trying to start 2014 by harrassing good people!  Same thing " Leave me alone " You still can't fix stupid!
