Caller tried to obtain ss# and date of birth.  Then they called me by a name I haven't used in twenty years and proceed to give an address for me that I haven't been at for 20 years.  They proceed to tell me I owe and $8000 American Express bill.  I have never had an American Express account.  THESE PEOPLE ARE A SCAM.  WHEN YOU TRY TO CALL THEM IT RINGS TO A FAX.  DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION!!!!!

Got a call from this number. It  hung up before I could answer it. I called back and no answer. I googled the number and found this info about caller trying to obtain ss# and birthdate.

I've received several calls. I have missed each - no message is left. Thanks for the post. I suspected it was something wrong.

These people told me I owed $80,000 on an American Express card.  They tried to obtain my social security number and birth date.  It is a scam!

Just got a call. Didn't answer. Thanks for the heads up. Now I know not to call back.

Called asked me about 3 person. One ahs been dead for about 12 years the other does not even live in this country anymore .I asked waht it was for and  all I was told it was an important matter. Person did not even speak english clearly. Told them to take off my # from their calling list as I barely knew those persons especially the one that died. She just gladly said yes and hung up. The govenment needs to get in on these scammers and stop them.

The same person as (Jabez) probably called me and was very pushy for information.  Don't know, don't care.  He spoke terrible English and insisted I need to clear up matter.  Also, it states "confidential call" and they leave it on my voice mail, so obviously they don't know if they really even have me on the line after they give a pause to identify person...JOKE

Nationwide Credit. Outsourced to India. Yes their English is terrible. I wish the companies would not sell off the collection accounts to these idiots.

All of you need to go to the FTC www.ftc.gov site and file complaints. The more complaints FTC receive, they will take action. Nationa Wide has been fined before.

I have complained many times and I am going to do it again.

These people called my # many times.  Just don't pick up if you don't recognize the number.

770-612-7260 is Nationwide Credit, a debt collection off shore agency. I've reported them to the FCC, am on the DNcall list. They ask for your info and if I answer I always say I don't know who you are and I don't give personal info to anyone I don't know. They are very persistent, violate the no solicitor calls on Sunday, holidays and timeframe. I've been reporting them for 2 months. Finally had a lawyer call them to stop, which lasted 2 months and they are at it again. All have Indian accents. They don't follow any rules but theirs. I'll continue to report them to the FCC. If they get enough reports they might do something about these people! Don't give anyone any info, no matter who they say they are.

They are pretending to be a collection agency.  They tried to obtain my last four of my social and by birthdate and when I told them I wouldn't give them any information the proceeded to tell me I owed an $8000 American Express debt.  I have never in my life had an account with them.  They also used a name I haven't used for over twenty years and an address I haven't been at for over 20 years.  THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!!!.  DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMAITON.

I received a call from these people, they said it was Nationwide and had "business" they wanted to discuss then asked for the last four of my social. I obtained the name of Joanne Ameida, A-M-E-I-D-A, I made her spell it, and then asked for a supervisor. They are a collection agency and are pretending to be something else.
