I let the guys come to the house.  Solar panels is what they are selling they hook you up with another company who sells you the panels, its a 38% federal tax credit to get the 3K, So you spend 12K.  They get a kickback from the solar panel companies.  your better off calling the solar panel company yourself

i reported them as fraudulent because they are actually referring you to people who sell you stuff, so its a lie.  I told him he had 5 minutes, it only took him 2 for me to ask him to leave.

Solar Eco is the name on his badge.   So hope that helps they need to block this number or put clark howard on their butt

The details of our calls are identical to the post "J" on July 25th.

We have received two calls thus far - that we have answered.  I only answered b/c they were local cell phone numbers 678-620-7567 (today) and the other number I can't find in caller ID!  Anyhow, last night my husband took the call and i have no idea what he said to them, but it wasn't much.  Today I picked up and told the woman I was not interested.  She continued on with the story outlines in "J's" post.

I asked for a website and was given the exact same answer - we are not selling anything...

What I should have told her was "from what I hear the government doesn't have any extra money to be handing out".

received call from women who stated they were from Electric Power Association and they were offering a free home inspection to help save energy costs. They asked a lot of personal questions such as credit rating, number of people living in the house and if it was owned. When asked they had no website stating they were contracted by the government help people save energy. Caller insisted she was not a telemarketer. I called my local electric company and found out they were a scam and have gone also by the name of American Electric Association. Please report these people if they call you!

Call here in Savannah, GA was from 912-227-5383 "wireless caller" who stated she was from Electric Power Association.  Technicians were in my area and could do a "free" assessment to see if I qualified for $3800 government funding.  Upon my asking twice, she assured me she was not selling anything.
Would not give me a number to call her back and told me she could not call me back the next a.m.
I do hope no one falls for this....
I did register a complaint on Do Not Call website.

Call today from "American Electric Power" 770-656-3089. Offering a "Free home energy audit". Told the caller our number was on the do not call list. Caller claimed "we are not selling anything so we can call"? Insisted that they were just offering an energy audit so we could take advantage of over $3,000 of free government money.
Asked if they were a non-profit and back to the "we are not selling anything, the energy audit is free".
Told caller I wasn't interested and thank you but they were still talking as I hung up.

Called today and would not say a word.    Called yesterday and was nasty.   The call says Wireless Caller.

Received the same call with message: caller she was with Electric Power Association were offering a "free public service" and implied that she and the company (Electric Power Association") was affiliated with the government; said repeatedly that the government had authorized $3800 to homes that were saving energy and her technicians would be in the neighborhood and had only a few free appointments left to see if we could qualify for the $3800 (ie, home inspection required), and that we most likely would qualify.  She kept trying to start asking some "pre-qualifying questions" beginning with was I the homeowner.  I said I needed more info about identity.  Asked for web address - she said they didn't have or need one because they had no products to offer - ?  Asked her to call back later - she said there were only a few more "free" appointments in our neighborhood over the next several days.  At that point asked her to remove my number from the database because we're on "Do Not Call" - she hung up abruptly.  I called the number on my caller ID and it wasn't accepting calls.  Filed complaint with Do Not Call and FTC.

Received a call from this number at 7:42 p.m. on July 27th.   I answered and the lady said this is not a sales call and don't hang up. She said she was from Electric Power Association.    I ask her what she wanted and she said I am trying to tell you (in a very hateful voice).  I RAISED MY VOICE AND TOLD HER I DID NOT HAVE TO LISTEN TO ANYTHING SHE HAD TO SAY AND SLAMMED THE PHONE DOWN.  ANOTHER SCAMMER.

No one there at first then it connects to someone (who was not nice) talking about electric savings.  They say it is a government program??  We are in the need of cut backs and it is a government program?
I was in the middle of a medical problem and the woman continued talking.  I hung up after explaining i was in the middle of a medical problem 3 times.

Phone rang. No one there.

Same situation from the same number today. They asked for some very personal info regarding the # of adults in the house, credit ratinings, monthly energy bill amounts, etc... I have verified this to be a scam, both on this site and elsewhere.  Typical MO is for them to suggest installing new windows, attic insulation and redirecting vents.  This all seems to come to a magical amount of around $5,000 which allows them to turn a handsome profit on their jacked-up prices without crossing the threshold where it's worth your while to take them to court. Don't let them in your house!

They hang up when someone answers and do not leave a msg if no one answers - annoying

They have called our house at least seven times and each time we have asked them to take our number out of their registry--they try to speak over you as you request this.  Yesterday took the cake and I finally blew my police whistle as loud as I could and hung up.  Man, that felt good!

Exact same story here! "American Power Association". I have been called at least 7 times. They have called  from 912-227-6812, 770-656-3089 and many others that I haven't written down. I filed complaint via Do Not Call List website, Federal Trade Commission and Georgia Attorney General(they can't do anything). Calls keep coming. I have had 3 heart attacks in the last two years and 6 heart surgeries and I do not need any more aggravation from scum trying to rip me off. STOP CALLING means STOP CALLING!!!   I do not understand after repeatedly telling them to STOP and to put me on there do not call list as well as hanging up several times, they just keep calling, if this doesn't stop soon I will be forced to cancel my phone service which I truly need for emergency's.   If I was in better health I would invite them to come on over and have a very big surprise for them.

Receive several calls daily from this number.  We too are on the "Do Not Call" List.  No message left and number is unreachable when trying to call back.

I've been also recieving calls for 912-227-6812 as well. Thank you Aunt Nutmeg. Most appeciated. Honestly, I am quite alarmed they would need "an In home inspection".

My call was from 800-437-3890 but they used the Electric Power Association name and wanted to come in and assess my home.

Received calls from this number several time a week.

Got a call today.  My sixth from this company.  On this line they use the name "Electric Power Association".  Previously they've used "US Energy Concepts".  Neither supposed business has a website.  They are in violation of the National Do Not Call list and possibly those of many states.  If you get a call please report them at the National Do Not Call list, the FCC, and here of course.  

Other numbers they have used include: 770-687-8141 and 912-227-6812.
