Just got the same card. If they lie now why should I believe anything their technician has to say. Glad I googled the number.

The exact same thing happened to me that happened to "Frustrated".  I am so annoyed at myself that I fell for this scam.  I totally thought this was a "welcome wagon" from the city where we just moved.  I had no idea.  Before the actual appointment, I started asking questions about how long the water test would take, and what they were looking for and they made it seem like a city-wide service.  The sales guy was very nice but stayed for an hour and a half.  My husband didn't get to see his children before they went to bed (he stayed downstairs with the sales guy while I put them to bed) and that is the only time he gets to see them all day.  I am SO annoyed.

Did they actually give you quantitive test results versus just "see, look, there are bubbles."

I'm betting that JPB (above) works for EcoWater as well.
I don't trust ANY company that isn't up front in their marketing. No return address on the envelope, vague promise "We have a parcel for you." They're preying on people's curiosity.
Any legitimate business would say something like, "We'd like to come and test your water in your new home, offer information about our water purification products, and in appreciation we'll give you a $25 restaurant gift card."

@threatend-

Seriously doubt physical threats were ver made.

We got the card and thought it maybe a legitimate welcoming company, obviously it is not.

I got a call back (before looking them up and finding this page) The lady said I had talked to someone yesterday, which I knew was BS because I had not and actually had to  leave a message on their vm (mistake on my part). Once Ifound out it was water treatment, I said we were not interested. She kept pushing it, I said not interested and hung up.

If you want to sit through a sales pitch up to you. If not do not reply to a call or the card they send you.

I don't know what all the fuss about this company is about.  I did schedule for someone to
test my water.  The technician arrived on time.  He was quite informative and professional.
I had read about the water in Atlanta numerous times and was concerned since some of these
articles said there are over 90 chemicals found in the water here.  Well, we decided to protect
ourselves and ordered their whole house system.  The installer was a master plumber.  We
began noticing an immediate difference in our water.  My husband has been suffering from severe
skin rashes for years.  The clean water has eliminated most of his rashes after only 2 weeks. We used
to spend $30 a month for bottled water and we don't have to any more and our coffee in the morning
tastes 1000% better just like the technician said it would. I only wish I had done this years ago.  Thank you Eco water. I have nothing but high praise for this company.

Just moved into our new home and about 2 weeks later we got a card in the mail that said, "we have been unable to reach you by phone or visit, please call within 7 days to receive your parcel". Like an idiot I called and went ahead and scheduled them to come out and test our water. I googled them afterward, then canceled the visit, but they have been calling  my phone about once a day. I have since registered with the "do not call" list and told them to stop calling me. Hoping that will help....

Received the card in the mail - boy they sure work quickly.  Overall, I just trash these "questionable" offers, but lately I've been searching them & this paid off once more.  They should spend their time doing something useful, like volunteering.

Thank you Annoyed!! Glad I googled as well.  I hate receiving "Suspicious" Notes and phone calls.  I agree, the company should rethink their advertising strategy.  If you want me to listen then be upfront from the get go.  If it looks like a scam, sneakes in through the mail like a scam (no return address) then go with your gut, it is most likely a scam.  They wasted a postage stamp, in the trash it goes.

I received this same card in the mail yesterday. So happy I googled it before calling. It is handwritten to make it appear legitimate.

I am SOOO glad I Googled the name "Bueno Neighbor" before letting these people into my house. Same situation as Annoyed posted. When they were on the way to my house though something told me to Google them and by the time they got here, we had found out enough info and did not answer the door. About 5 mins later, they called the house and asked if they could reschedule coming over and I told them "no" and that I knew they were a scam and I had Googled them. The guy on the phone, who had been so nice before, now had an attitude with me and was rather rude. I told him to have a nice day and hung up. This happened to me years ago with a Kirby salesman too. Kid comes to the door asking for help to pay for college and the next thing I know a Kirby salesman was in my house for 3 HOURS!! Glad I went with my gut this time...

I had them come test my water and they did show up and test the water.  They did everything they said they would including giving us the restaurant gift card. I did not have any problem getting in touch with someone when we had to change the time and day of our appointment.  The person testing the water was polite and did give us a lot of info about the water.  If your concerned about the water then get it tested.  Not a scam in my opinion.

Well I saw this post but decided to try the free water test anyway.  I must say I am surprised that they just tested the water and offered their opinion on what we should do.  There was no pressure for us to do anything.  So I would not say this is a scam, and they did give us the $25 restaurant gift card for having them out to do the tests.  Just someone else giving their thoughts.

We just moved here and got a card from this "group." Wow! They are quicker at getting updated name/address than the local county government! Would LOVE to know where they are getting the info! Thanks, Annoyed, for posting!

Waste of my life. Total scam. Unprofessional. No company info. And judging by all posts in all states- everyone is to ask for Barbara, who is always unavailable so someone else talks to you. Nobody ever shows up and the "employee" acts dumb when you call back or just doesn't pick up the phone at all. Also claimed that someone had been to our home but we were in our open Garage that entire evening and nobody showed up. Never give a manager name or any other contact info. They Never call back after the "missed appointment". Save yourself hassle and dont waste your valuable time.

THIS IS A SCAM - from what I have read posted from other states, the possible company is ECO WATER.

They send you a card stating:  "BUENO NEIGHBORS - We have been unable to contact you by phone.  Please contact us within seven (7) days.  We have a parcel for you.  Call between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM M-F.  #770-709-2288 Ask for Barbara.  Your Parcel # is ___."

This card is hand-written with no return address and they do NOT have your phone number - the point is for you to call them so they can harass you moving forward - they will then HAVE your phone number!!  You do not need their bs water service.  Here is the website's contact info - good luck, Scott!!
