Why don't you? They are in clear violation of the FDCPA by calling you every half hour:

A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:

--Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.

If someone wants to talk to me they should leave a message.  They are calling about twice an hour and I will report them
Why don't they just leave a msg.  I have no idea what they are trying to collect.  770-850-7450. They called my work cell phone last night at 10:00 pm.  I will not be harassed my people who won't even talk to you. I hooked up my fax machine so that should take care of them.

I have been getting calls from 770-850-7450 which I understand it is from a collection agency. I do owe Northside Hospital I understand they want their money. I have many medical debts I am paying one at a time. I don't really mind them calling to remind me of my balance every once in a while, but goodness they are taking it over the top they call all hours of the day and night, one right after another 5 calls within a 10 minute time frame. I answer no one answers I call back and no one answers. I am over it. I am all for someone trying to make a living but heres a concept do your job correctly without being harrassing, rude and at least talk to someone when they pick up the phone. If these are not tasks that can be followed give the job to a person that wants and needs a job.

This is HSI, a debt collector, most likely reported from a medical bill that you owe and didn't pay in full (which was my case, even though I was making a payment every month, I was livid). Or someone who did that had your number previously or they got your number by mistake. The hang ups are because of the recording, it goes out to multiple numbers at a time and whoever picks up first knocks all the other ones off. The recording gives no details, only that they are calling about a debt and what number to call back.

I have talked to a live person once and it was fairly easy but I knew what I was calling about. But they will call you several times before you get anything in the mail.

I am too old for these types of pranks. Hard of hearing as well. Yet, this same number calls four and five times a day and never ans. I am supposed to be on a no caller list.

This number calls my home AT LEAST 5 times a day.  This has been going on for about 6 weeks now.  I don't answer...the answering machine picks up...they hang up.  I answer...they hang up...don't answer...etc.  This number has also shown up on my cell phone as well as my daughters.

Maddening ... Please block this number at all costs ... whoever it is ... find a real job and stop bothering other people who "have a life"!!!

HSI is a medical debt collection agency.  They don't *just* collect for Northside Hospital, that's just ONE company they collect for.  There are others, and I'm sure many others.

I have been receiving call also from this number. My husband just happens to have the same name as the person they are looking for. I have tried to explain that "HE" has never been to Northside Hospital. And they keep telling me, yes he has.  I guess I should know I'm the one that pays the bills. Told them to please take our name off their list. And was told they would. Well THE LIED, still getting calls. Fixing to get real ugly with these people. Cause if you don't answer the questions like they want you to they get nasty. Well guess they may be fixing to get a ear full.

If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter ? even if you don?t think you owe the debt, can?t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. If you decide after contacting the debt collector that you don?t want the collector to contact you again, tell the collector ? in writing ? to stop contacting you. Here?s how to do that:

Make a copy of your letter. Send the original by certified mail, and pay for a ?return receipt? so you?ll be able to document what the collector received. Once the collector receives your letter, they may not contact you again, with two exceptions: a collector can contact you to tell you there will be no further contact or to let you know that they or the creditor intend to take a specific action, like filing a lawsuit. Sending such a letter to a debt collector you owe money to does not get rid of the debt, but it should stop the contact. The creditor or the debt collector still can sue you to collect the debt.

If you are so educated, why don't you know how to spell career, or dummy? Or know that Ford is a proper noun and should be capitalized. Seems that you are the uneducated one and perhaps you are bitter because you were abandoned by your father.   You should be upset with the dentist office for turning you over to the collection agency.  A bill collector would not have any access to your records unless your White, Cobb County educated, dentist gave them to the Collection Agency HSI.

Debt Collector
After reading through a couple pages on this thread, I opted to make an account and express my near slack-jawed state of shock that this company is still in business!

For the past 6 months now, I have received 3 calls a day from these pricks (I swear, a hiring requirement must be a Master's Degree in Rectal Corncob Placement -.- ).  Conveniently, they start calling at 8am which is fantastic after getting off work at 5am lemme tell you :D  From there, I receive a lunch hour phone call followed by their oh-so-courteous dinner call.

I am a regular visitor to hospitals compliments of hyper IgE syndrome and as such spent several years getting FULL COVERAGE on my health insurance to prevent precisely this sort of irritant.  I have 0 co-pays for hospital visits nor ambulatory services.  The only medical bills I have received in the past decade were only to show what my insurance was going to be charged, and on ALL of them, under the section that says "You May Be Billed" it reads as "$0.00".

I requested to speak with the management for that shift was rudely informed "I AM the manager" to which I replied, "Oh, I highly doubt that or you would be overseeing the office, and not making harassing phone calls.  If you wish to claim that position, then I want to speak to YOUR supervisor."  Naturally, this lead to nothing and thus I called the company numerous times for about 5 days until I actually spoke to a manager.

To bypass the fear of identity theft, I refused to give them the entirety of my birthdate, address, and certainly not my social security number - rather I gave them the first and last digit to each.

After patiently explaining my full medical coverage and even making a special trip to UPS to fax a redacted copy of my most recent medical bill, I am still receiving the rude and persistent phone calls.

I have a Notepad document that has every date and time these pricks have called, as well as the names of every individual I have spoken to if I actually answered it (which I don't anymore and haven't in 3 months now).  I've already placed several reports against them to the FCC, and will continue to do so as calling more than once per day is harassment, as is calling before 8:00am or after 7:00pm.  If I somehow succeed in stopping the deluge of calls, I will post a how-to for all who happen by this website =D

Let them know the next time they call they are in violation of Federal law by harassing a non-debtor and you intend to take legal action against them if the calls don't stop.

The company is HSI Financial Services.  I received a collection letter from them today with this same phone number listed.  The address is HSI Financial Services LLC, PO Box 934075, Atlanta, GA  31193-4075.  I am not sure why I was turned over to collections from Northside Hospital when I had set up self payment monthly amounts with them, and I am still paying monthly, but I will find out.

There is also a website listed www.hsipay.com.  The letter is signed by a Jay Ziehl.
