Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.  I didn't answer.

I do not want calls from this number!  4/18/08

Received a call regarding the expiration of my car's factor warranty.  Doing a reverse lookup of the phone number shows it belongs to a "DENNIS SHINE" of HIGH TRAIL VISTA CIRCLE in JASPER, GEORGIA.  I'm going to smear this name across the Internet to further sites such as this one.

Been getting a lot of spam calls to my cell - this is another one.

I tried to call back, blocking my phone number of course, and the number was disconnected! Anyone every tried to look for these numbers off the phonebook online and clicked on the map? I've done it with multiple numbers, some places look legit but most are just some off the wall places.

Received call 1:24 PM MDT.  I also didn't answer, figuring if it was an out of sate relative, they'd leave a mesage.  Then I Googled the number and found this site.  I'll answer next time and tell them where to stick their warranty.

770-984-4718 called my cell phone about car warranty about to expire. This has been in the news in Arizona recently, about getting people to call a number associated with car warrantys and just the act of calling will charge your account with an exorbitant connect charge. I am submitting the number to the AZ attorney general for help.

I don't answer if I don't know who it is.....but then I can't get on the 'don't call list'  I wish I could!  sigh

I got a missed call from this number and didn't call back because this is an area code from Georgia... Don't wanna rack up the long distance minutes, hehehe...(I live in Phoenix)

They have called me several times a week for months.  I have tried pressing "2" to be removed from the list, and it disconnects the call.  I have tried pressing "1" to talk to a representative and the guy asks for the make and model of my car.  I told him I wanted to be removed from the list.  He was rude and tried to tell me I needed coverage for my vehicle.  I insisted I just wanted to be removed and he hung up on me.  That was two weeks ago.  They just called back.  This is an unlisted number.  This is my work number and it is interrupting my business.  Very annoying.

i answered and spoke to a rep that said they are auto one. they wanted my full name but i told them i need to know who they are first. i asked who they were so i can call my auto dealer to see if they honor thier extended warranty.  he didn't want to answer any of my questions even though i told him i was very interested in thier extended coverage. i told him i don't give out my personal information just because my phone rang. he hung up on me.

Tried to call back and said the number was disconnected!

Didnt answer because I was busy and no message was left. When I tried to call back it said that the phone has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

Received a call from this number, when you call it back it says it's no longer in service or has been disconnected.  I'm so glad they released cell phone numbers so that scam artists can now waste minutes we pay for!  Yahoo!

Called just now on a business line. Will not leave a voice mail.

Been getting calls from this number almost 3-4 times a week now. Sometimes leaves an automated message about my car warranty is about to expire. Always tend to miss them, but definitely need to be on the no call list. They are really annoying.

Automated phone answering system that said "your car's warranty is about to expire. Press 1 to speak with a representative about renewing it."

I pressed "1" and the representative asked for my vehicle's make and model. I asked to be placed on the "no call list." He said "ok - it's done." He then almost hung up on me and I asked for his company's name and he said, "Warranty Service Incorporated."

Garbage about my car warranty expiring.  This scam appears to originate in Southern California (Los Angeles).  This appears to be the work of Great Atlantic Warranty, their website is http://www.gawarranty.com/, or Warranties4Wheels whose website is at http://www.warranties4wheels.com/.  The Internet contact for Warranties4Wheels is Wayne Craig at wayne@warranties4wheels.com located at 13152 West Monte Vista Drive, Goodyear, Arizona 85338.  The phone number for Warranties4Wheels is 623-535-6656.  The IP address for Warranties4Wheels.com is 209.133.237.245.  I did a good amount of Internet research on this.

Bunch of jerks.  Who would work for a company like this?  Must be some deseperate people there.

They call me daily.  I told them to remove me from their list and I held after speaking to a woman.  Was put on hold forever.

Received a couple of calls from this number...also many other calls about a car warranty for a car I no longer own. My number is unlisted as well.

these phone numbers have been calling me consecutively. this needs to stop what can i do?

got a call today from this number, when I picked up, got a recording "press 1 to accept" just dropped the call and googled the number. did not bother to call back.

I received a call from this  number as well. As I was reading the rest of the stories I remembered that I gave my cell number out on craigslist when I sold my car.  I got a scam email reply for my car that I never responded to but now I am thinking there must be people out on craigslist harvesting phone numbers.

I've been getting the same stupid auto warranty call from this # and other various weird numbers for the last several weeks.  ALL of our phones are registered on the 'do not call' list.  This is seriously pissing me off!  How do you make it stop?  I don't answer them, but it's annoying, none the less.

EVER SINCE I BOUGHT MY CAR A MONTH AGO, I have been getting random calls ON MY CELL PHONE to renew my warranty on the car. When I got a call from this number I pressed 1 to talk to a rep. He asked for my VIN #, name and phone number. I called the auto dealer and they say my new car could be public knowledge through the DMV, OR, the loan company I'm going through.

Chloe and several other responders are exactly right.  Whatever entity or entities that are doing this are violating federal law.

They have a complaint section.  You can fill everything out online.  The b*****ds that do answer the phone just hang up on me even when I politely ask them to remove my number from their systems.
