so many calls coming in from bogus phone numbers - I'm sick of it. This caller from 770-965-6383 left an automated vm regarding carpet cleaning with "press 0" for an estimate (did not leave their business name or contact information). I dialed the number back and received a "number not in service" message.

ok... so I am paying MORE to not receive "blocked" phone numbers... so what do I have to pay to block companies that have found a way to send a fake number??

Companies are not finding a way AROUND the law... they are finding ways of breaking it and not getting caught.

It's wrong -- guess the phone companies will not put a stop to this until we all...what... stop having phones??

I am on the "Do Not Call" list.  I received a call from this number, and when I answered, they did not say anything.

I got this call the other day. They called my cell phone but never left a message. I think this number currently belongs to a collection agency called Northstar Location Services. A very annoying collection agency indeed. Can someone with access to a reverse lookup service verify this?

Same as Jen. Just happened ten minutes ago. Most annoying thing ever! Also annoying when your voicemail says your name and someone still leaves a message for someone else!

The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act prohibits companies from calling if you tell them to stop. If you are receiving harrassing calls and there happens to be a live person on the other end, inform them it is a wrong number and tell them to discontinue all calls to your number.

This number is disconnected.  Did not answer.

They called me then hung up on me

I have had someone from this # call my home phone too many times.  I too get that the # is out of service when you try to call back.  When we are home and answer the call they hang up.  I think it might be a computer trying to figure what time of day or night we answer the phone.  What do you think?  Any how , I am tired of the calls and if someone finds out how to stop it please inform.

I get dozens of calls daily from "wrong numbers"  I always answer the phone w/my company name, so when they ask for someone (who is NEVER me). I tell them it's a business #, and that person does not work here, but if they want I can transfer them to the legal dept to get their company info for future needs.
For some reason, they always hang up before I can trasfer them.

What good is the no call list. You still get calls from a-holes that can't leave a voice mail. If I don't know the number I don't answer.  Do us all a favor leave us alone

I got a callon my cell, ignored it, they hung up and called right back letting it ring 20 times.

I have reported some other numbers to do not call, TX attorney general's office, listing times a roto caller used my home phone (15 in 3 hours one night). One response was that I wasn't listed.  I called them with my reciept number and asked why I got the letter, they said hummmm don't know but you are listed. The next report, their office personnel responded with a letter I was to sign and have notarized to be certain I wanted to report the caller, DUH!  What a joke! I  took out my home phone, problem solved.  HAD HAD THAT NUNMBER 35 YEARS .  Maybe phone company should do something about it besides asking us to pay more to block calls.

If it is ever a working number we all need to keep calling them asking for Moe, Larry or Curly.

They get tired of it and stop calling.

F****D UP ANNOYING PPL

Hey I know how it is...we had a new phone number that was from a guy who died a year prior to that and they kept calling thinking we knew the guy. They began calling 5 to 10 times every hour all day and late at night. We finally had to get a new number. They never believe who we really are just because we answer the phone. I agree there needs to be something done so we do not have to be harrassed by someone elses debts.

I get the same damn calls from this number.  I also get calls from a lot of other debt collectors looking for THE WRONG PERSON.  I am so f****ng tired of it.  We seriously need laws passed in congress to deal with debt collectors targeting THE WRONG PERSON.  

The "do not call" registry does not apply to debt collectors.  That's fine with me, as long as they don't HARASS THE WRONG PEOPLE.  If you're like me and have a phone number that some idiot who couldn't pay his bills used to own, you are SOL.  There's nothing you can do to make them stop calling.  I even had one of them tell me that they didn't believe that I was a new guy with the phone number.  He kept calling and accusing me of being a guy I wasn't.  God, this s*** pisses me off to no end.

This is a so-called "debt relief" agency making robo calls so that you are forced to listen to their crap. Then at the end of the call, it says to press 2 to get off of their call list.

What good does it do to be on the National DO NOT CALL list? I'm sick to death of these sleaze bag companies that flip the finger at people on that list.
