Please inform me as to how this "scam" works?

Hey some lady called me after my accident and wanted me to go to a chiropractor and Wellness will pay for it.  I did make an appointment and later canceled because I felt these people were ambulance chasers

Someone called and left me a message saying they had some very important information about my "recent accident".
caller id had the name of "kevin woodard" on it.

Someone called my husband after an accident. Along w/ 1,000,000,000 other callers wanting him to go the doctors. The guy who called his name was Mr. Presley. I just wish they'd stop calling already.

had a voice mail from Mr. Presley saying he had some very important information regarding my recent accident. Told me to call him back on his direct office number 1-800-491-7729. He is one of 4 ambulance chaser calls i received this morning. I can't get anyone to tell me how they got my information.

Got a call asking me about my injuries and recent accident. They get your information from the Police Report.

This person called and left a message on my cell phone to call him.  I called back and he wanted to know how I was doing with my injury.  When I told him that I was not giving any information to him and who was he with, he said Wellness Center...a group of doctors and then hung up.

Glad I lookd up this number. I too was involved in an accident recently. I missed the call thankfully. People like this are scummy and stir up trouble!

Got a call from the # above. Let it go to VM, it was Michelle from the wellness center. First off, she had my name wrong, it was the other guy involved in the accident. When she picked up I introduced myself with my name. She proceded to call me by the other guys name. She asked how I was doing after the accident and I said fine, no soreness. She said she wouldn't call again and take my name off her list. My cousin thinks its a bunch of doctors looking to scam insurance companies by getting doctors to sign off on injuries that aren't really there.

We received a call from Sholanda Moultry - 800-258-5198 / she said she was from the Doctors Wellness Group and was checking on my wife - she was in a accident recently. I asked what doctors she represented and she would not tell me - Just repeated that she represented the doctors wellness group. I think they are some kind of spy for the insurance company that owes my wife.

Live in Ohio. Had an accident a few days ago. Got a call and voicemail from a Kahleen 1-866-774-0201. Said she's calling on behalf of a Dr. Rosen. Called her back, heard her sale, said no. While I was on another phone call an Eddie Rosenberg called. Didn't change over in time. Then I looked up his number (440-382-1631) found this site and the info about Kevin Woodard came up. Went down stairs and two seconds later *ring*, it's our buddy Kevin. I picked up the phone and said "Not interested. Thank You!" and hung up. Better not get anymore.

I just had a similar experience.  I missed the call, but looked up the number online and it shows "Kevin Woodard" in Marietta, GA.  The number also comes up on my phone as Georgia.  The person did not leave a message, and I did not call back, because I recently received another suspicous phone call ("Please call us back about your recent accident" yada yada) and figured it was the same thing.  .

I got into a car accident just 5 days ago and received a phonecall from "Ed" at 440-382-1631. He left a message but did not say where he was calling fro or what he wanted. Just asked that I would call him back. Good thing I won't.

I just received the call from 770-980-0553.  It came at the same time I received a call from 866-410-8545.  The man from the first call was trying to get me to set up an appointment with a Chiropractor.  Since I work at a hospital, I have already had plenty of friends in the medical field assess my needs, (which are none, as far as the accident is concerned.)  He became somewhat indignant when I told him this.  

Here's the thing.  The police report for my accident has NOT YET BEEN releasesd.  Public record or not, how did they get a copy of the report before it is available?  Someone at the police department MUST be releasing the information.

got 4 calls in 20 minutes from different doctors as well. kevin woodard was one. like flies on a full steamy  pile of manure in a hot July sun.

I received a phone call from a kevin woodard but it was someone else asking about my injury in the accident i had a few days ago the number was 770-980-1614, who is this?

I just got a call from this # as well. Earlier today I got 2 calls from a 901 area code with the same thing going.
I was in an extremly minor fender bender about a week ago. The other driver was at fault but only damaged my car slightly.. I guess they must be competitors in the ambulence chase game

this guy is a scumbag and needs to be shut down does not identify who he works for or why he is calling

The same scam from area code 770 is ongoing.  Three calls today, June 2, 2010, showing the same name Kevin Woodard in caller id.  All asking about injuries from a recent minor car accident.

The very same info as all these people...our agency is State Farm as well...I'm calling our agent tomorrow.

How odd I was in a wreck on the 5th and had a lady call me by the name of Linda Graham at 9:00 pm and said she worked for a Chiro.  FIRST of all I am in the HEALTHCARE and NO ONE calls your home at 9:00pm not to mention... I asked how she knew about my wreck and she said it was public record WELL MY HOME NUMBER IS UNLISTED AND NOT ON POLICE REPORT AND SHE COULD NOT TELL ME HOW SHE GOT MY HOME NUMBER .... SO I started screaming at her and and told her conversation OVER and I am reporting this ....

I had weird phone call this morning @ 8am. Caller id said it was Rainbow Marketing lady on phone never stated her name said she was from Wellness center and immediately started asking how I was feeling today. I immediately knew this was a BS phone call because the number on the caller id was from out of state (1-770-980-1614). I asked her why she wanted to know. And she said she knew that I was injured in an auto accident and wanted to know if I was OK. Once again I asked her who she was and who she was affiliated with and all she said was she was with the wellness center. So I ask if she was affiliated with my doctor?s office or the hospital. She said no she was with the wellness center. I asked her how she got my information, she said from an accident report. I told her she would have to talk to my attorney at this point. She said ok and wanted to know his name and phone #. I said is that information not in the report she was reading also. She said no so I told her my attorney name but not the phone #. She once asked again for his phone# and I told her to look it up. She then hung up on me.
I did a lot of research on this phone # and company and am pretty sure it came from a state farm insurance office In Marietta, GA.
I finally traced to an address in Marietta Ga 2740 Windy Hill Road Southeast Marietta GA 30067-8613. It is totally amazing to me of how many different businesses are also listed at this address. One in particular is (Kevin Woodard) the same that is listed in many other of the complaints listed on this web site. Please see web link below.

Coincidence? Maybe, but i really don't think so. Because the person that injured me was also insured with State Farm. I really think this is just an ill attempt by State Farm to try and get you to say something over the phone that will release them from your case. If it is not illegal it should be. And probably really hard to prove.

A Ms. Golden continues to call and leave threatening messages for "Renee Rosenfeld" but there is no such person at my home. It is the most frustrating thing. And, when I pick up the phone, she hangs up!

Glad to know I'm not the only one having to deal with all of these phone calls!! I was in a car accident a week ago and The Wellness Center has been calling several times every day, starting first thing in the morning!  I finally answered the phone to see what they wanted.  They asked me how I was and said "OK" and she said "that's good. Thanks. Bye."  I didn't even get a chance to find out who they were and what they wanted.  Just got another call as I am writing this from some doctor's office.  I said "I'm not interested and would appreciate if they would stop calling!"  I have also been getting a ton of mail from all kinds of lawyers and chiropracters.

I got the call from Linda Graham as well at 866-859-0870.  She said that she was calling about "the accident" but did not leave a company name.  I called it back without giving out my info and she said that she's calling to set up an appointment.  She still would not tell me what company she was calling from, just that she sets up appointments for many doctors.  I reported the # to the FCC Do Not call, but that will probably not do any good!

I got the exact same story.  I got a call from this number and was a left a voicemail from Mr Presley to call him back regarding the recent car accident I was in.  I am on the National Do No Call registry and have filed a complaint with the FCC, and am looking into the FTC to see if they can do anything as well.

A car ran into us yesterday at 12:30 pm and the calls started this morning at 7:50 am. First from 866-859-0870, the lady said she was calling from the insurance company representing a chiropractor that offered free services for accident victims and was happy to hear no one was seriously injured. Next call from Kevin Woodard 770-980-1288 again representing themselves as have being contacted by the insurance company.
Having talked to friends they say they were bombarded from the same individuals after their accidents and couldn't get a straight answer from them or were hung up on.  Using my caller ID now to not answer unknown callers, hate to see my name and number now in the system of these people and probably on their affiliates lists too by now
