People pay insurance fees for when an accident happens.(So the money already exists) The problem are insurance agents formally trained to settle a claim ASAP and if a person is injured they are swayed by the insurance agents to NOT seek help. Doctor's know that and that's why they offer these screenings. The amount of compensation an accident victim receives in a settlement is based on "damages and injuries" so if a person doesn't seek medical attention or document ANY injuries after an accident they automatically waived by the insurance adjuster.
So let's get one thing straight, if insurance adjesters were more honest, solicitation activities from doctor's and atty's would be non-existent

Wanted to thank the gentleman who called me right after my accident. It was from this number. I went to the doctor's appointment he made me today and they treated me really well. I know he told me he was just from the doctor's office but if it wasn't for this call I would've never found out about my slipped disk.

They called me and I interrogated them until I got any scrap of information from them. Oddly enough, they were very courteous and the guy never hesitated on any of my questions. Turns out that it was a doctor's office offering a free screening. I asked why they did this and from what I got was that the insurance INDUSTRY prefers that ANY accident victim does NOT seek any medical help whatsoever. It makes sense because I had the hardest time trying to get the actual insurance guy to even return my calls. When I did they threw all this red tape just to fix a minor bump on my back bumper. I see why doctors are barred by insurance agents to treat accident victims. It's sad that doctors do this but it makes sense to have to contact the person as soon as the accident happens otherwise people who are genuinely hurt wouldn't get treated unless they pay for it on their own.

I read some of these comments. Some of you people really freak out about it. I received a call from here this morning. Just a doctors office offering help. Still haven't heard from the insurance people. I see nothing wrong with this type of call. Last year my husband got hit and was hurt. The insurance guy threaten to drop the claim if we filed any injuries. I see why doctors HAVE to do this.

I received the same phone call...left no identifying information other than name and number. Called back and got voicemail...I stated that she did not leave any information as to where she was calling from so if she was legit she could call me back. As a legal professional, please never give out information or answer questions unless you are positive you know who the caller is and the purpose/intent of the call.

I just got a call from the same woman. My wife was in an accident and "Tonya" called to ask if she had been injured. I said no, she said thanks and hung up. It was early in the morning, so I didn't realize until after the call that I never asked who she was with. I called back and left a message that said, "I have some important information regarding the accident," so hopefully she'll return my call.

My name is Todd Graham and I used to work for the corporate offices for ALLSTATE. Truth is, insurance rates high basically because insurance companies can charge whatever they want. The public isn't aware about the billions of dollars that are spent monthly by insurance companies to lobby individually in EVERY state to favor laws in behalf of ALL the insurance giants. Fact is, 100% of accident victims can have their car replace and visit as much as 4 doctors including specialized therapists.... the money from car insurance payments IS THERE FOR THAT. But why allow the insured to know that, much less actually see a doctor when it interferes with our bottomline and  profit margin? But that's the insurance companies have grown corrupt and doctors know that. I think its great that they resort to calling an accident vistim and offering that examination.

I got a call from both numbers but they were 2 different companies. The "Tonya" gal was short an abrassive with me but the 1866 was calmed and was actually a real doctors office.

I received a call from here yesterday but I wasn't able to return it until a few minutes ago. The person you picked up the phone specified that they were calling me to offer a doctor's visit at no charge to me or my insurance. I informed them that I sustained no injury and they politely thanked me for my time and hung up. Personally I see nothing wrong with this. I still have to hear from the insurance guy.

No one is going to jail over offering doctor's visit. As long as they specify who they are and what they do, they aren't breaking any law. My daughter received a call and she went. When I looked into the matter, they were clean as a whistle, She went in and got her check up, She never received a bill.

I recieved a call from a guy from 18668591577. When he called he specified that he was calling on behalf of a doctor. He asked if I was interested in gettng a free doctors' examination? I said "no". I must say that this gentleman was extremely polite and very professional. I asked him several question including if he represented an insurance company or law firm and he explained to me that he only works for this doctor's ffice that offered free exams and had no other relationship with anyone involved in the accident. Personally, I see nothing wrong with they are doing.

Got the same call about my son and said he was in an accident and it was dfrom the same num ber listed (Kevin Woodard) and the caller was Tanya.  When you try to call back all you get is a machine.  You know, this scared me, I thought he had gotten into an accident and I could not get a hold of him all day so one good turn deserves another, I left a message for Tanya telling her it was the hospitol and her son had been fately shot in the head.  Hope this teaches her a lesson.
P.S. There was never any accident)

Same thing for me too.  She identified herself as Tonya and said that she needed to speak to me regarging my accident.  When I returned the call I just reached a Sprint voicemail.  Then 1-866-859-1577 called and said that they were Jose from my insurance company.  He asked about my accident and hung up on me when I asked him what the date of the accident was.  I had my sister Google the number and she found these posts. I called my insurance company to see if anyone was trying to contact me and they said no.  The 866 number called again and I said that I was going to call the police if they contacted me again.  They hung up and I haven't heard from them since.  I called my insurance company again and they are looking into legal action.

I got the same voice mail. Tonya, calling regarding the car accident, please call back at 1-800-258-4387. Yes I did had an car accident.

First time she called from Atlanta, Georgia number: 770-980-1288.
Five minutes later she call me back again from the Wisconsin phone # 262-705-6385.

I talked to her, and she said that she is from State Farm Wellness Center, and basically ask if someone was injured. I said, NO, and she said, "OK, Thanks." Hang up.

How she was able to call from Georgia and then form Wisconsin in a 5 min time difference?!?!

I assume they are getting our car accident data from some Insurance companies, or 911 calls, or police case reports. Which makes me think that there is a "hole" somewhere and our data, we provide to police, is INSECURE!!!???

Tonya is not with State Farm.  She called me today after an accident on Saturday from 770-980-1288 listed as Kevin Woodard.  I specifically asked her which insurance company she was with, and she said she is not with any insurance company.  She said the accident was public record and the "wellness center" works solely on the injured's behalf.  She tried to set me up with a chiropractor here in town.  I told her I would have to call her back.  She gave me 800-258-4387 as a number to call her back at.  Sounds fishy to me.
