A woman named Randy representing "The Journal" called and was very pushy in setting up a phone interview with me and Joan Lunden.  I told her we don't cotton to receiving pushy phone calls.

when I google "the journal" I get this "production compnay" phone number, but no one answers.

I would also like to see more stories about the environment. I liked the story about reclaimed wood products being used for construction. Any story that focuses on ways to protect the environment would be great.

I have always respected Joan Lunden. Many people don't realize that she actually left Good Morning America to raise her family. I support anything that she is involved with.

Thank you Arizona viewer for watching our series on Health Ins. options. This was a new topic for us and we were thankful to have some outstanding experts on board for this story. They really helped educate us and our audience on these new insurance alternatives.

We really appreciate your feedback. Thank you again for watching the program.

I watched a program from World Progress Report that covered some very interesting subject matter. It was about alternative health insurance options, specifically shared cost insurance programs. I found it very interesting and was wondering if you will be doing additional programs on that subject. That was a very creative solution to the uninsured problem that we have here in the U.S.

We need some new ideas that won't cost the tax payers a fortune. Good job!

I am currently on location in Chicago working on a very exciting story that will cover a variety of important issues that deal directly with spinal stenosis and other spinal ailments. Spinal stenosis can be caused by aging or inheriting a degenerative condition. It commonly occurs in men and women over the age of 50. It is a narrowing of the spinal canal and mainly occurs in the upper or lower part of the spine. But, the condition is difficult to diagnose because there are typically no spinal stenosis symptoms. Fortunately, there are several experts that we are interviewing here and we anticipate completing the editing process in late August. The story should be ready for airing by September.

This story will help us educate people about their options for treatment.

Thank you for your comments about the segment on Child Abuse. We hear from viewers all around the country, and appreciate everyone in New York that watches our spots. Child abuse is a major concern in this country and we are glad we could shed some light on this issue.

The spot that you watched was a national run. There will be additional regional and local runs for this story throughout the country. Please give us a call at the number above and we will try to find specific airing info for your area in NY.

I found this blog and wanted to comment on the story about preventing child abuse. It was a great story and we really need more good programs like this one. I just watched a similar segment on the news about the child abuse problems in this country and it was very disturbing. I hope anyone that commits such terrible crimes is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I am in NYC and wanted to know if this story will be airing again in the future.

Good job!

Colorado Question

I am in Denver Colorado and I just watched a couple of your national educational spots. Both of them were very good. One was on Eco Travel and the other was about Preventing Child Abuse. I was very impressed with the quality and really happy to see that you are bringing more awareness to child abuse problems.

I'm pretty sure these spots were national. How do I find out about your airing schedule for local spots in Colorado, or do you only do national spots?

Thank you again for covering these important issues.

Me too. We have worked with the World Progress Report on several projects, including two ports....one in Alaska and one in Central America. They do great work and we are planning on working with them in the future. We are currently in the Bahamas doing some feasibility studies.

This is very true. There are very few quality educational media outlets that can effectively help companies get the right message out in an educational format. We decided to work with World Progress Report and we were very happy with the outcome. We are regional, but we ran our educational commercials from Miami to North Palm Beach and were very happy with the response.

We are planning to do a second project this fall.

At this stage, we have several projects in the works that will be addressing the Gulf oil spill. We are in the planning stages at this time, however, we should have a better idea regarding the specific locations that our crews will cover within the next 30 days. We hope to cover all the affected areas and we will let you know via this message board as soon as the shoot dates as scheduled.

My research team and I are at "Orlando's Best Kept Secret" on assignment here in Sunny Orlando.  We're researching some new hot spots for a series on "The Best Luxury Destinations Under the Sun".  No doubt, this resort is in my fab 5.  I won't give away its name just yet.  Instead, you'll have to watch the documentary series for yourself.  But I can say it is one of the best and most upscale resorts on the planet.

In working with the World Progress Report and its team, I can say first hand that it is one of the best short-form programs created for Public Television.  I've been personally involved with hundreds of productions and programs.  The quality of the series, the different focus on varied topics and the educational nature of the project set this program  in a league of its own.  And obviously having such a well known host like Joan Lunden to the series is a huge plus.

The exposure on the series is second to none, which is why my research team is always very "choosy" about who they select for the series.  That's part of our "process" in order to make sure that the quality of the program and standard for the series matches the organizations we invite on the series.  So, Orlando's best kept secret will not be a secret for too much longer.  We are including them in the lineup.  Keep a lookout!

I am in the field in Iowa working on a story about a prevalent problem in this area...invasvie aquatic species.  My crew and I had a great shoot day and we will post a link to the finished segment as soon as we complete the edit.  Our eco-system, as we know it, faces a serious problem if we don't address this problem.
