772-501-5002 Jesse is still on the prowl using same premise. Recommend reporting incident to Vero Beach Police Department in Florida. Perhaps they can put an end to the nonsense and teach this guy a lesson...

Exact same thing happened to my Dad on the same day. Only charge to MetroPCS was for less and he payed some court costs with the card.

Total Scam...

Got a call from 722-501-5002.  Jesse said he worked for Verizon and there was an amount past due from Dec. He told me if it was not paid, my phone would be shut off.  I attempted to pay with my debit card, which he said was declined.  I looked on line, there was enough money, which  I told him.  He said he would not shut off my phone, but go to a Verizon store first thing in the morning to straighten it out.  I started to get a strange feeling, so I watched my debit account on line and about an hour later, Jess was having Papa Johns pizza in Orlando Fl, on my dime. There was also another odd charge to : METROPCS 877-315-6074 TX, for $100.00. It is an unlimited wireless service.  No doubt getting more time for the next victims.  Meantime, I cancelled my card.  Then he called back.  I asked him who he was. He knew I was on to him and he hung up.

Yes, this is a scam:
I just want to let you know that someone attempted a scam on me.

Called from 722-501-5002 and said he worked for Verizon, asked if I was the owner of the account (rattled off my cell phone number) and told me he was going to suspend my cell phone account because they received my check for payment and it was damaged in the mail. He gave me a badge number. Then he said, let me confirm some information, and came back on the phone and repeated the information. During that call I verified online that my account was not overdue. When I told him he was scamming me, he told me to go to a ?Step into a Verizon store and show my photo ID and my Social Security Card) to resolve the problem.  Then he hung up on me.

Two big red flags: I pay electronically, and I have never been asked to show my SS card, unless I?ve been hired for a new job.

This number is a scam! Pretended to work for Verizon, saying that our check had been destroyed in the mail and they could not deposit it, then asking for credit card information. Checked online to determine that Verizon had received and deposited the check. Obvious scam.
