Received several calls from this number.  Sometimes the label says Unknown and sometimes it just repeats the phone number without the dashes in between.  Don't know them and don't want to.

I'm getting really irritated at these unwanted calls.  Damn the scams!!!!!

Said he was "Travel Services", selling cruises for Royal Carribbean, Carnival and Norwegian cruise lines. Said he was aware that it was a wireless number. Didn't know who he was calling. Said that Expedia.com and others sell phone numbers to them. Said he was collecting tax for US govt (curious). Called back 7732807809 (caller id #) and the call back number I asked for 877 557  3685, both of which got a recorded error message "non working number" Filed complaint at fcc.gov #13-T01295020.

You should never answer any call from a number you do not recognize. Never mind the 'do not give personal info' part -- if you even answer your phone, many scammers are compiling a list of 'live' numbers to sell to other scammers. Just picking it up and then hanging up, you're on the list which means more of these low-life scum will be calling. Just don't answer any. If it's important, they'll call back or leave a message.

got a call from this number and no message.  I see multiple folks getting the same.  I will report to my lawyer and have him track this down as in Florida, there are fines of 5K - 10K for this type of activity.  this was my cell phone.

Got a call, same as others listed above, telling me I won a cruise.  When I tried to ask how they got my number I was given the runaround, so I asked to speak to her superior.  She said I am the supervisor, I said b***s***, put your superior on.  Another idiot comes on and I ask her the same thing, where did you get my number? I don't give it out to anyone.  She didn't answer me, just asked me if I called her agent a derogatory name. And she was giggling, saying it's funny you get so upset over a phone call.  I kept repeating, how did you get my number and she said I initiated it by signing up for a free cruise. B***s*** I say again-you're a lying b***s*** scam operator.  She would not give me her name either. Wonder why? lol I could have pushed the 2 and opted for the Do Not Call list, but I wanted to have a little fun yelling at this mind-controlled spawn of Satan thief plebian firsthand.  Mindless scammers just piss me off.

Called my home after 8:00 tonight and left no msg.!

So glad this board exists. I am currently traveling abroad and have a voicemail and missed call from this number. Glad I do not have to worry about spending the money to check the voicemail to make sure everything is ok.

I didn't answer.  How do we stop unwanted calls from #s filling up our cells?

11/1/13, 4:16 pm...received call from this number...did not answer...did not leave message on answering machine.  Caller ID showed the number and Chicago, IL.  Blocking....

answered phone, recording said I had won a royal caribean cruise, press 1 for info, 2 to delete, pressed one out of curiosty, when they came on line they asked my name when I gave it to them they hung up......now I am nervous, what have I done?

What galls me most about these calls is that they think we are dumb enough to fall for their scams.  What's even scarier is that there will be some poor person out there that will answer their phone and fall for whatever scam if offered.  SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THESE CONSTANT, INSTRUSIVE CALLS.  Being on the DNC list certainly doesn't help.

11/06/2013: 773-280-7809 Unknown Name Called. Pressed #1, Nancy answered. I said, "Hello, Nancy", may I have your home telephone number.  CLICK, she hung up. (If this is an Unknown Number calling, why do they hang up?) Because whoever it is we all know they are not legitimate.

773-280-7809 called my cell at noon, 11/6/13. Recording said I had submitted something to win a free cruise. (I hadn't).

Is there a Do Not Call list for cell phones?

It's amazing to me that people are still falling for this type of thing. I guess that's why the calls still keep coming.

I received a call from this number. I don't answer numbers that I don't know. They didn't leave a message, call back, or anything. I have no idea who they were.

got a call from this number saying I filled out a Royal Caribbean cruise raffle  (DID NOT)

Call came in from this phone number to my cell, & I don't answer calls I don't know.  Pulled the number up on Google & found this site.  Glad people post to an information database like this!  This phone number is obviously still being actively worked as a scam - shades of that "Identity Theft" movie I just saw last week!

Received call from 773-280-7809.  I answered only because I was expecting a repair man this morning, and I didn't know what number he would call from.  Recorded message claimed I won a cruise from a drawing on Carnival or Royal Caribbean and to press 1 for further information or 2 for DNC list.  Since I had entered a drawing, I pressed 1.  Then a live agent, female voice answered, and proceeded to tell me I won this prize.  I asked what company she was calling from?  She said just a minute, placed me on hold, and then I got a message saying my number was now on the DNC list.  I guess if you question them, then they don't want to talk with you, or as suggested in another response, my live phone number is being set up for even more scams.  I really hate this as there are some folks that would fall for this.  I know a sweet elderly gentleman, 95 years old, that has been a victim of sweepstakes scams, and got swindled out of $40K over a 3-month period.  The elderly are definitely targeted as they generally don't bother to use caller ID even when they have it.  They believe that there are honest people out there, like it may have been at one time a long time ago.  Don't bother to answer numbers you don't recognize.

Really?  You suspect a scam? What gave it away, caller asking for money?  If you haven't figured out by now that when a caller asks for money or  personal info.....hang up.  Better yet, DO NOT ANSWER CALLS YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE!!!!!

I got a from this number back on 10/22 from a phone I just received for work THAT DAY.  I know the phone number was issued a few days prior.   I didn't answer but now I wish I had so I could have hear how I too had "won" a cruise from  drawing that I had entered with a phone number I didn't even know I had.

I as well got a call from this number stating to press 1.......
