Called me on my cell while I was trying to check out at the supermarket. Very few people have my cell number.

I rec'd a call from this number at 5:15AM on my cell; suspect a scamer, as others also have rec'd calls from this number.  Hey, I thought I was on a "no call list!"  How does this happen?

You are absolutely correct. I did the same thing but years ago ever since I have been on every scam artist, idiot, and moron list there is, that was my only connection. I called and spoke to some one about it and all I got was an apology. It is related, some people may be getting calls without having filled out resumes and their info was retrieved in another way but I know mine was, it was a new email address i had created just for the sole purpose of jobs and resumes, it was used for no other purpose.

As long as we ignore these calls, they keep dialing our numbers, and it costs them nothing. As someone suggested, I will respond to telemarketer's calls, but when their message starts, I disconnect the call. This will cost them the basic long distance connection, If we all do this, it hits them in their pocket.....

This is a scam for sure and they do spread your number if you answer and let them know that you are alive and well on the other end. Ignoring the call is the best thing to do and then report the number to to the do not call site, https://www.donotcall.gov/ , it is the only way to stop BS companies like this one.

they call me all the time trying to sell me some cruise trip. i've pressed 2 to be taken off their list so many times. im considering calling the police to report harassment.

They keep calling my work cell phone. Feels like harrassment to me!!   I got a call at 10:47 this morning and another at 12:55.  I agree with the person who said do not answer. I have also heard that pressing any keys that they prompt you to get off their list, will only let them know they have a "live" number, and sell it to other companies.  If it is someone who needs to speak with you,  they'll leave a msg.

They called last night, I hit 2 to be put on their no-call list.  Called again this morning.

They call my home and my cell. Luckly I have a digital phone which tells me the # that is calling.My cell oviously does.  I never answer.  Both #'s on Do Not Call List.  Idiots's

I happen to agree with your theory. They get the DNC registry and then they ignore that they are not supposed to call and do it anyway. Nice to know the DNC is helping these scammers. Just got 2 calls on my cell. Must be random dialing because very few people have my cell number.

B*****DS keep calling 4 to 5 times a day, every day for 2 weeks now.

These B*****DS keep calling over and over and over. 12 times in 2 days!

I called back, hit 2 for DO NOT CALL but they keep calling.

Received a call offering me a free cruise but I would have to pay taxes of $98pp and for my transportation to the departure port. I believe it's a scam.

This is a recorded message from some cruise? or so it says.  Did not solicit this call and do not want to be contacted by this company.

Guys, don't push #2 no matter what it says. They will never take you off their list. Pressing 2 or any other number just validates the number to the robo caller and they then sell it to other spammers. It's a racket and all you do by pressing numbers is to spread your number to more and more of them. Just let it ring or hit ignore.

It doesn't matter if you press 2 or not. It STILL calls!!!!!

Just received call. No message left.
Called back with my VERY LOUD WHISTLE in hand.
Unfortunately a machine answered. I pressed "2" to be added to their no-call list.
See if that works or if they just use it to confirm they have a good number.

I just got called a few minutes ago by this number, but I hit the call-reject button and the caller left no message.

@ "User1", I personally haven't entered my current number into any engines like Monster, especially not in the past five years, except for the DNC Registry after suddenly recieving a rash of unwanted calls. If these spammers are working with a list, I assume it's a list that's been compiled and handed around by someone else who began calling Do Not Call List numbers at an earlier date.

And I say "spammers" instead of "telemarketers" because, if these were actual companies instead of rackets, I think our official complaints might have had more effect by now. If folks are getting called by hoax groups with illigitimate, unconfirmed "companies", not only are these crooks obviously unconcerned with law abidance, but their activities also don't technically fall under DNC List's enforcement.

Just a theory; I'm not 100% certain, but I judge that's probably how the DNC sees it (after a look at their website FAQs). In other words, we're screwed until the police or FBI or someone shuts these scam artists down.

I received a call from this number as well....I recently updated my resume info on Careerbuilder and Monster, and am wondering if it might be related.  Anyone else do similar and within a week, or so, receive a call too?

Just called by this. I do not answer out of area calls. I have a new ringtone music now I enjoy since these robots insist on playing it for me.

Just received 2 calls from this number, not back to back as others have said, but pretty close!

Waking us up all over Europe!

Travel company offering tons of different cruises, but you pay 99. per person for 3 nights, of course you are required to pay for all drinks and getting yourself to the location... they asked me before I started where I lived giving me the fartherest ports to get to for the cruises and it would be 198. per person double occupancy on all cruises, for 5 nights, but for longer cruises, more. ....  plus I would pay for taxes etc.  I said after her 4 minutes speel, that I was ill in bed, and if she wanted a credit card or money it would not happen ...and before I could finish my sentence she hung up on me.  

Look, I am a veteran cruiser, I get better deals than this and it's not high pressure to decide on which one I want to go on and fork over money I was not prepared to just give up before she happened to call my phone number tonight.  She was talking so fast, I felt like I was gonna need an interpreter soon.  


ANSWER THIS CALL.... IT GIVES YOU A BUTTON TO PUSH TO OPT OUT FOR FUTURE CALLS, THEN MAKE SURE YOU DO SO.
