This company calls day after day, morning, noon and night.  We have asked them to take us off of their list, but they continue to call all the time.   I am a huge believer in making donations that will help others and I have many organizations to whom I donate regularly but I will NEVER donate to this company because of their disrespectful, annoying, constant interruptions to my life and my sleep.........the calls start at 8:00 in the a.m. no matter what day of the week and don't end until 9 or so at night.  Sometimes 6 or 7 times in the same day.  And this has gone on for several years now despite our repeated requests to take us off their call list.  What a shame that there are people out here who possibly could benefit by the donations people like me would make if they weren't so put off by this companies' rude and disruptive practices.......

Well, I work for a similar non profit in Idaho, with a similar script. We are legit and the stuff we collect is sold to a thrift store, and then that money's used to fund our programs for people with disabilities. If someone agrees to a pickup, we verify the address... are you still at blah blah blah? If yes, we pick up at that address, if it's the wrong address most of the time it's a reassigned phone number and we have the old info of the people who had the # before. We then get their new address. Just thought I'd share that.

Guy calls up says he was wondering if we had old clothes or household items we were not using, says he was calling from a non for profit agency, and that there would be a truck in my area on July 17th for the pick up.

I said sure I have lots of clothes I was about to throw out that I could donate; he asked do you still live in Evanston, I said "what is the name of your agency again"?....He hung up on me.

I tried to call back the number was busy, so I called today and it just rings.

Foolish thing is that if you are trying to scam someone, or get access into their residence, you shouldn't leave your number unblocked...

There are ways of finding this guy.  I will keep calling until I get him on the phone again, and if he is not legitimate, I will tell him I am filing a police report, they know through 911 who number belongs to, cell or land line, they have access to ownership and billing records.
