Im in the same ordeal, and now I dont know what to do! please advise!!

Wow I posted a couch on craigslist and he did the same thing I gave him my info and he called me today, I googled his number and found this blog. I'm  in this process now and hrs got my info. What should I do?

He just answered my craiglist ad for a bed - told me he would pay more if I took it off craigs list.  Wanted my addess etc to send me a cashiers check - seemed odd to me that he would want to buy something in California and pay more plus a mover.

I googled his number and found this blog - I am glad he didn't give my info.

Wow- this is scary....I had the same situation with this guy "Kevin" and him wanting to buy my couches....I goggled his phone number and found this blog of all your stories...Did anyone actually give him their information? I did and then when I received the email from him that he sent "too much money" it seemed like fraud. I wish now I hadnt given him my information.  Did anyone go further with this with the NYPD?

Have the same issues as you guys.  He wants my couch and wants my full name, address and phone number and wants to pay by check.  How many couches does he need. This sounds like a scam to me and I thank you for your postings, it confirms that.

Thank you for the story. I have the same situation going on right now. Whats my name, address, phone number. States he is a very bad stammer and doesn't talk on the phone. Indicated he would pay additional for the item to be taken off Craigslist. Very much sounds like a scam. Also indicated that his movers would be coming to get the item because, like you, he is not currently available to pick it up himself.

Did you have something listed on Craigs List? Just curious...my story from this number below....

Answered a Craigs List ad and stated he wanted the couch, then asked for full name and address and phone number. Stated he would send a check then when I cashed it would arrange for shipping, When I asked why he was "out of town for business" and I was leery of this HE REPLIED ""well i don't really understand why you acting this way...do you this I am gonna use your information for bad thing coz I don't understand, if you are not well please with me....forget about this transaction." Sounds like a scam to me!!!!

Got a phone call. No message left.
