They called our business..no answer at first but my assistant stayed on line...they ask for "owner" and she gave it to me. They said it was an Ameren Audit. Ha! I told her to call our main office and she said okay and hung up. Didn't ask for main office # or anything. Not that I would have given it to her.

called and ask us to place a ad with them for a toys for joy promotion, we asked for info to be sent to us first and got nothing but a bill showing when our ad played. it shows on the invoice the ads ran from 11/29/10 - 12/05/10 on radio 89.1
this station owns others in the area but the 89.1 is just static right now and when you goto the stations other web site it list the 89.1 as gove live in early 2011 and that the tower was just finished being built in dec. i dont see how they could of ran my ad on that station when the tower just got done with nothing inside it to broadcast. im turning them into the BBB and attorney general office for fraud
and have them $0 out this fake bill

Pushy salesman wanting to 'give' our business free ads. They call weekly even though I've told them to remove our name, number, any business info even remotely concerning our business cause we don't need their constant harassment. Radio Advertising, yeah, I really believe that free advertising spiel.

Radio Advertising called and asked for the manager (by name) said he was John Aldridge (rude and pushy), when I asked what this is in reference to he said well this is Coldwell Banker Realty isn't it, I said kind of, he then asked well doesn't you guys sell buy and rent commercial and residential real estate, I told him the manager wasn't here and he tried to pull this one on me:
"Oh man I forgot my blackberry, what is his cell number again?" with laughing in the background.
I asked him what company he was with and what it was in reference to, he said he was with himself called me honey and it was about property, I told him I would be more than happy to help him, he said only the manager could him and called me darling, then I asked for his name and number so the manager could call him back, he said no sweetie you've done enough already thanks and hung up on me.
I called the number back and spoke to a receptionist who answers the phones for 4 different companies and said she looked up John Aldridge in the system and there was no one working in that building by that name.

Just got the same call. Guy asking for our retired Executive Director. I said he could talk to me and told him the interim state we were in, and he simply said there was no hurry and it could wait a couple months.

These people called us today. (a man, did not get his name, but he was a #1 jerk.) Caller ID said "redio advertising". he asked for one of the older owners who is basically retired. When I told him that, he wanted to know who was running the bussiness naw. I asked him what he was calling in refrence to, and all he wanted to tell me was it was a project he was working on. So I asked him what kind of project...dua...He did not want to answer me, so I asked again, what kind of project, are you building a house, shipping something...what. He then says, well you guys do flooring right. I answered no we don't. (we actuallt build pallets and shipping crates etc) He then tells me, well the older guy did flooring. I again told him, no he did not. I said that Bellsouth has our company in the wrong section of the phone book (which they do)and anked him if that is where he got our number from. He told me yes he got it in the phone book. So that was that, and he hung up. It is so much fun to harrass these jerks. I hate that they are allowed to make these calls to us that waste our time.
Give'em hell girls, and guys that are answering these calls.

They are called Radio Accounting Service, and you should be careful about them. We have had nothing but problems with them. Their sales people called us, selling ads on radio stations, and we told them that the only way we would sign up and pay for the ad was if they told us when the ad was going to run so we made sure it was actually happening, and the salesman agreed to that. Well supposedly the ad ran, and we never got a call. So when they called again looking for money, we told them that we were never notified like the salesman said we would be, and we don't even know if the ad even ran, therefore, we would not be paying the bill. Now they just call us with threatening phone calls. I don't know if they are just a scam or what, but if I were you, I would stay far far away.

this is a radio advertising company that sells different type adds on radio stations. i made the mistake of taking one out for our company 3 or 4 years ago and these people will pressure you until you give in and yes they can be rude and very pusy. when you tell them you cannot afford this they will talk you into a monthly payment (fell for this one time) and ir you are a couple days late they hound the heck out of you. the last time i ans the phone i just told them i could not afford it business was slow and hung up. now when i see their name 'RADIO ADVERTISING' on my caller i do i just let it ring. and yes they have several numbers in the 773 area code (chicago)

We checked our messages this morning (Frdiay) and there was one from (773) 681-3700, from Lance (last name unintelligible), said they would be on the radio on WMGU 106.9 on July 4 and wanted us on the radio. An (800) number was left for us to call back. When we called the (800) number the phone was answered with the last four digits of the (800) number. When the extension number was requested, it rang and rang, was finally answered, and the lady asked if she could take a message. In scrolling back through the Caller ID we discovered that the call from the (773) number showed up as "Radio Advertising."

Our company actually fell for this about 5-years ago. At that time, when I picked-up the phone, I was treated to a "prerecorded" radio ad. Basically, an attention getting sound was played, then an announcer read a blurb, reminding everyone of the dangers from drunk driving. (It was the Christmas/New Year's holiday). After the blurb, it continued and said this public service announcement was brought to you by... our companies name. Then they played the jingle of the radio station's call letters and frequency.
After that, a guy who sounded like a radio announcer came on and asked me how I liked it? I said fine so he continued his sales pitch about how often, on which station, and when this ad would be played. He said people would here the message sponsored by us and we would receive an increase in sales calls from it. Plus, it shows how our company cares about the community and presents a positive message which is always appreciated by everyone....
We talked specifically about which station the spots would be played on. I didn't like the format of the station he was offering, so he offered a DIFFERENT station that suited me better. All the stations we talked about were on the AM side and I had heard of none of them the but one. It was a local sports station here in a huge eastern city. So I settled for that one. Then, he told me the ads would be aired several times over a weekend. He was a little vague about precisely how many times, and when they would be aired, but assured me it would be more than five times.
He said the price for the "package" would be $150 and I would be billed by mail sometime later.
I accepted the offer. After that, I (and no one else) ever heard ANY of the ads. I called the station and they had no knowledge about any of this. I received not one sales call as a result of the "announcements", and, when I called the company back. They said they had provided the service I contracted for and owed the $150. When I asked for proof. They said I should contact the station it was played on. When I told them I had, they could shed no further light on the subject. When I asked to speak with the salesman who I originally spoke with, they said he was no longer working there.
I did not pay the bill, which arrived about a month after the announcements were allegedly played, but offered to do so immediately and in full once I received proof that they had indeed ran. I received a paper in the mail that listed dates and times of when the ad was played (all of which were around 2am!)
I called and told them that someone from the station would have to contact me regarding this, otherwise I am not paying and that they can sue or consider the matter closed.
They did not sue, but I did receive collection calls for a year or two which my office manager would ignore. Finally, the calls stopped and this company just disappeared.
They called again today, roughly 6-years after all that hassle above. I told them I was not interested hung-up. I would advise anyone else to do the same!

Received a call from this number selling an add for our local radio station. He gave a return number of 800-621-1343. I called our local radio station, this is a legitimate call for their PSA segments. We did not purchase though.

Finally someone with enough common sense to get the right person at the station on the phone. The company makes a contract with the station through ONE person and only that ONE person wiould know anything anout the agreement. Thank you for letting people know that it is a legitimate svc.

We got a call from "Mr. Oliver" from a "radio station in our town" asking for the owner. I asked what is was regarding and he said that our facility was chosen to be profiled on the radio. I told him that either I can answer his questions, or he can call back next week for the owner. He got a little upset and said that he was "trying to award something here" I said thank you, but again he would have to call back. He hung up on me!
TOTAL SCAM!!!
For one, a local radio station wouldn't call from a different area code (we only have 1 area code in our town!)
Two, if we had truly won something, he wouldn't be so rude.

As we had briefly forwarded calls from the office to a cell we kept seeing this number come up. After reading the comments i was prepared when we took the phone off forward and saw the number pop up. I told him the owner didn't operate from here- all I could do was take a message. He said "No thanks, it's really not a big deal" which, of course, it isn't.

Aren't you the little bully...it is hard enough for victims to admit what they did. Instead of calling her foolish and picking on her you felt the need to make her feel insignificant instead of suggesting she go ahead and CHANGE her credit card number. Because of your stunt she may fall victim to something else and not call the police or her bank.

Received multiple calls, finally answered one. Trying to sell advertising for "Oldies Radio" for an AM station. Where I am we don't get AM radio as we are in a mountain valley. Just a salesperson that doesn't know his area.

I got a call from this guy. I made small talk about his family. I asked him who was watching his kids and he told me that that they were home with his wife. I creeped him out when I told him what I was going to do to them while he was out trying to earn a living as a telemarketer.

I am the owner of a small construction company, and I have been getting calls from this man for over a month. He is supposedly selling advertising for a local radio station. I have repeatedly told him I wasn't interested, but he is persistent. I was courteous at the beginning, trying to explain to him why I wasn't interested, but he became very pushy. I did use some pretty foul language and hung up on him once, but he keeps calling.

Got a call asking for the owner of our small business by name. I said he was not available. He said he was working on a project in our area. I said I could help him with a quote. He said it was for Breast cancer awareness promotion at the end of October. He went on to say that he is the head of his household but his wife points his head where she wants it to go.....and laughed. I got creeped out and hung up. Pervert!
