The CALLER had terrible, improper English!  They tried to say my son filled out a questionnaire stating that he may be interested in going to college so they were looking to prep him for SAT's by sending the CD's-  The fellow said that my son would not get into college these days without the appropriates score on SAT's...I told the guy #1 how can a 16y/0 possibly know what they want to do with their life and #2 I went to college twice and rec'd 2 different degrees from two different colleges in two very different time periods in my life without any SAT score determining my entry into the school.  Fine if you want to pay a few hundred bucks for a bunch of overpriced study material so you can ensure your kid gets into an 80 gazillion dollar a year big name school but truthfully-most any college is fine and a person will still get a degree and still get a job.  It is not *where* you go to school it is how you apply yourself and utilize it later.  Big colleges just want big $$$.  It's such a "status" thing.  I thought the whole late 80's/early 90's yuppie thing was out?  Any ol' college will do as long as ya finish, graduate, and find employment.  Big name colleges do not guarantee employment and they just want your $$$.

This is the scam outfit "Smart Education Foundation".  I've heard that the are tied in with local Chicago alderman that keeps their butts out of jail.

I also rec'd a call from this number: 773-698-6064. My caller id has SMART EDUCATION as the source. Also, when I answered nobody spoke, so I hung-up.

This number called MY parents home loking for my child's Mom or Dad. They never said who they were but the called ID showed 'unavailable'...what's funny is they didn't even have the correct phone number!! This definately sounds like a scam!!!

They sure are persistant!, Yes, my child took the PSAT , so that is probably the culprate. I'm glad I found this sight.  I asked for paper info and they refused to send any, stating they have to watch their money and keep expenses down but to look at the web site.  I imediately scrolled to the bottom, where I didn't find any credentials. Why do I continue to receive all these unsolicited  calls when I am supposed to be registered with "the do not call" registry?

Received a call from 773-698-6064 this morning around 10am.  Caller ID reads "Cellular Call".  No message left.  This is perhaps the 5th straight day I've received a call from this number. I've noticed a number of companies using "cellular numbers' I'm guessing to try and get you to answer the call instead of simply ignoring an 800/866 call.  Let's put it this way, I'll add this number to the FTC's Do Not Call complaint list for all the good that will do.  These guys simply get new cell numbers and keep calling.  If it's a reputable company calling.....I'd think they wouldn't mind their name being seen on caller ID or leaving a message re: a product you might have an interest in.......BUT I'D LIKE TO BE ABLE TO BLOCK ALL THESE DAMN CALLS AND NEVER LET THEM THROUGH!!!

it`s sad that an adult would take the time to write that a company they admittedly have not done business with is a scam.i had my son use the materials they said his score would go up 300pts or i`d get a refund.he had 1500 on his first exam.after they`re program he scored 1740.that`s 240pts,so i called.they had me send them both scores then they gave me a refund of everything other than the $10.00 for shipping and handling.i thing they we`re very nice they`re materials work,and they honored they`re guarantee.not my defintition of a scam!

I had a coworker who only yesterday told me about the phone call she received for her grandson who does not live with her. The same ole same ole happened to her...."Can I speak with the parents of"....... This person they asked for is a 9th grader. He has not signed up for anything as you guys want to claim, and how did they get the Grandmothers number. I then googled the number for her & low & behold uncountable pages of complaints. This number called me this morning and told me that they were from the Smart Education Foundation and they wanted to sell my a product.  However, in order for them to help me, they would need me to buy the ACT/SAT scores of my child and send them the official scores of these tests and they would help my child boost her score in the future.

I told them, "My daughter has already taken this test and she did well anyhow, So I don't need any of your services to help her. My daughter is already all set on where she's going and what she wants to do". The man answered back that they can still help though because it's always better to get an even higher score. I told him "Well, then send me your service and product information and I'll look at it" But the man quickly tells me NO, We don't use the mail system, but we use email. I told him "Well I don't have email, and I don't believe in using that stuff because it causes too many problems". The man told me again that I needed to buy my daughter's scores because they could help her out a lot but I didn't think this was correct. The man even says to me that "We work through the schools" and I told him that if they worked through the schools, then the school can send me the paperwork. The man just tells me "Well, we don't work like that. We need an email" I just ended up hanging up on him.

I talked to my oldest daughter later on today to see what she had to say and we know now that this guy who called was trying to scam me because nobody ever needs to BUY their child's ACT/SAT scores because all you have to do is request them and they are free, not to mention, that when my younger daughter already took the ACT, she had already pre-selected schools from which she wanted her scores sent to.

This company is a scam! You don't need to BUY your child's scores from the ACT/SAT to send to them, you only need to request to have new scores sent. Also, if they can't even send their services through the mail, that's proof that they are not real! Every company can send out paper mailings if you request it!
