This is a REAL BUSINESS. I signed up with them, and got paid $165.00 for being on a MOCK TRIAL between TOYOTA and a lady who was killed in a car accident. The trial was about whether toyota should be help responsible for damages or was it because the lady died in the car accident because of her seizure she had, or that is what her husband said when he learned of her accident. I spent from 7am to 6:30pm one day doing this research project, and received a check at the end of the day for $165.00, and promptly took it to the bank and cashed it. They are a real firm. Count yourself lucky if you do get called and want to easy cash. I also did a research project for a Taco Bell product, but only made $50.00 that time. This was about whether their marketing display's were any good. One thing though, you have to qualify with their questions on income level, was I related to any attorney's connected with this case, but they did not tell me about the case until I went to the project.

They absolutely ARE legit.  They are all over....and they do pay really well. Typically it's for taste testing new products and then answering questions about it.  Kids can do it too (one per household).  This is not "telemarketers" or spam....they should only call if you are signed up.... but either way...accept the call and make some fast, easy cash.

This is correct. I signed up, I just wish they didn't call so frequently. 5 times in 2 weeks is excessive.

This is actually a legit company. They need to hire some better phone reps though. I've been getting frustrated (just lately) when it takes them 10 mins to screen me for a taste test and then tell me "oh, sorry, that age group just closed." Well, if you didn't take forever to read your questions... Whatever. They are legit.

reasons for calling

I keep reading about this company calling people for "research".  Some posts have mentioned that they only call if you signed up for it.  I, however, did not sign up for this and never will.  Unfortunately they called me last night but I did NOT pick up.  I'm glad I didn't.

same here i am really good about not giving my number out to any solicitors (however good or not they are still solicitors) i never signed up for anything new....so not even sure where on earth they got my number, and glad i didnt pick up.

Iv done tatse tests for pk for a while now. I've gotten on one-day tests for up to $30 and once a three day test for $120. All you do is spend about an hour of your time to test new foods upcoming and give honest answers to the survey they have you fill out. After you are done with the test you sign out and they give you the cash that was offered to you in an envelope. That's all. And then wait until they call you again. Not a scam at all they are a research facility. They have recently changed over to a new calling office so there number has changed. That is why I did not recognize it.

P&K research. I have only done one test in the year and a half since I signed up (due to being busy or not qualifying) but they paid $30 in cash and I got three free (just had to rate them) slices of pizza.

This is P&K Research calling about market research surveys.  They do not cold call people, so if they called you it's because you signed up and gave them your number.  They will call you the first time about an hour or so after you signed up, or the next business day.  Any calls after that are to qualify you for a paid taste test.

called my place of business today while i was with customer.  i asked who they were "PKResearch"...
i asked "may i ask the nature of the call"

replied "is this ______?"

may i ask the nature of your call and what your company is?

i needed to know whether to tell them i was with a customer and would take their number and call them back or tell them i am not inerested and to delete my number from their files.

replied... "i am not required to divulge that information"

i said "Great! have a nice day" and hung up!

It is Perryam & Kroll.  There is one in the Dallas Metroplex area.  You are eligible for a taste test survey once per 6 months.  If you qualify, you go in and taste different food items and rate them.  It takes about one hour and you get paid $25 - $30.  They are a good company and only call if you gave them your phone #.  The only problem I have is that they call every day and the survey is usually the same day and I need more advance time.
