Phone call telling me I had entered a contest sometime in the past and had won a top prize. I didn't answer.

You can read all about this scam if you type in phone number 773-891-5629 and search. It looks like the scammers are calling from different phone numbers...but from the same area.   Several people have reported on this.

Just Got a call from a Michelle the robo call said this was a not a solicitation call not a time share that I had won a "top prize"  she only mentioned a car.  Gave her phone number and extension so fast I couldn't get it written down.  Never gave it twice didn't know my name so how can she know I filled out a prize form.  I looked up the number and it was from a Leslie Gorden in Chicago.  I don't remember filling out any entry forms in the past 12-18 months.  Sure sounds like a scam to me, tried to call the number she phoned on and it was always busy.   The name on the caller ID was VanDell Comm Gr.  I googled VanDell and found this web site and others that reported that they had been called so they could claim their "top prize".  Don't give them any information - if you have filled out a contest form they should have the information too.  Read the other comments from people who reported this phone number from VAnDell  866-312-9553?

Thanks for the heads up on this scam.  I can't believe I was almost going to call these people back to win the car BUT then thought I might google this number OR go to whocallsme.com

I guess I won a car too!  They called once left a message stating I won top prize a car, and that it is time sensitive, they never called me again after that!  I NEVER fill out contest forms, so I knew it was some sort of scam!

Call from 773-891-5581 shown as Vandell Communi- Recorded message about winning a top prize left phone number and extension so quickly that I could not write it down. Plan to report to Do not Call.

GOt a call today, home to answer, got too blank messages the other day on the recorder.  
"sorry I must have called the wrong number" and they hung up, it was a southern accented woman. "Group, Vandell C." was the came. very odd.

Received call from 773-891-5581 listed as Vandell Communi,  left message on recorder about a car
that we won from signing up for something between the last 12 or 18 months.

...so now I'm supposed to expect a prize in the mail and instead I get a surprise from al-Qaeda. NO THANKS!

A message was left on my voce mail. This said that you won a prize and claimed it was from Avandia (sp) Communications from a person named Christopher. The message also daid something about a form being filled out in the last 1 months.

I did not call back as it seems so much like a scam.

Don't know what they wanted or who they were looking for but I am getting tired of these intruding phone calls from people I do not want to hear from.

I picked up only because I was cooking dinner and the kitchen phone was right next to me.  I couldn't see the CID from where I stood, but answered only because I was expecting a different call.

It's easy to tell it's a "calling center" because of the background noises, with a whole lot of different voices clearly all making calls at the same time.  

Maybe he was hoping to go directly to voicemail to leave a message, don't know...but I thought I'd be another to verify that it IS a call center, and the name COMM GROUP MITC shows up on my Caller ID.

Also remember that illegitimate companies and scam artists won't respect these lists.

Therefore once your enrollment goes into effect you should be extra careful of unsolicited telemarketing calls unless you know they come from a company with which you have a legitimate, established relationship

As above. Left message about prize. Scam. On DNC list, but that seems like a scam too, because the DNC list doesn't work!
