I received the same call this morning at my place of employment some guy with an Indian accent. Saying some crap of a lawsuit filed against me and I blantly stated no there is not and this is a scam. He stuttered for a second and said I wish it was and hung up.  This is a total scam.  If there was any type of lawsuit againt you the courts will serve you with papers to give you a chance to come up with a defense against them.  Don't give out any info to anyone.

They are scammers/extortionists operating out of India  Only interested in you giving them money.  Nothing else.  There's no loans and no cases.  Which is why they don't need any attorney's name.

Block them.

Debt Collector
Called today and left voicemail to either call them back or have my attorney contact them. I called back and talked to a "Mike Smith" or something generic like that. I asked what company he was calling on behalf and he said it was a payday company but I couldn't understand which one (thick Indian accent). I did have some payday loans and recently filed bankruptcy. I tried to give him my attorney's information but he said they don't want to talk to him. I asked what the call was in regards to and he just said a "pending lawsuit against my SSN." I told him I've already asked to be taken off the list and they can call my attorney if they need something. He said they were going to show up at my job and speak to my manager. I told him I will file harassment charges and again tried to give him my attorney's info but he wouldn't take it. I told him not to call again and am going to give the info to my attorney. I've gotten this type of call before and I always block the number. They usually tell me I'm going to be arrested within 24 hours, but they never tell me what company it's for and how much the loan is.

Completely ignorant. I would have fun with them and tell them my name is makmood Abdul Mohammed since they say their names are simple American names with this heavy crappy Hindu accent that you can barely understand. My problem is that they are calling my work which could become a problem.  I think the only way to rid yourself of these A-holes is to get a new job, a new email, a new phone number. They deserve to die. Or get them arrested on India and brought to our jail system so they can be sodomized by their cell mates

Mark Johnson just called me with the same story that I owed money and I don't. They also said so said paperwork was going to be filed against me on Friday. I said I never received anything by email or regular mail and that I was not going to pay.

This number has called me 34 times and when I don't answer they call from a different number.  They claim that they are arresting me in 24 hours if I don't pay $1400.00 to a loan I never took out.  His name is Neil Johnson and he has a heavy Indian accent.  He says he works for the Federal Crime Investigation Department.

So I've gotten two different messages from this number: one trying to convince me to do a pay day loan, the second stating there is legal action being taken against me. Neither time have they stated a company name.
