They keep calling me and it's pissing me off. I go to be put on the "Do not call list" and it says sorry the do not call list is full like wtf?!

This number had better stop calling me or they might be the ones needing a security system!!! The number calls EVERY day just as I am getting my 3 month old daughter down for her naps. All throughout the day! And I cannot mute my ringer because I have people who actually matter calling me! Get a life besides harrassing people!!!

Received call from this number on my cell phone. It arrived at exactly the same time as a call from 201-283-9686, and it was a recorded message. I hung up.

This number keeps calling me, have to told them to take me off of their list many times still get calls daily. Something needs to be done about these POS !!!

don't pick up the call, i/m going thru 15 numbers online to see who is calling. unless it is life or  you know the other choice, it can wait. I use tracfone at 3.3 cents a call. great value except for these calls, which are annoying if you pick up - don't answer if you don't recognize the caller. clean your reject list every few months and start over. text messages cost me 1 cent. I have built up three years of unused service, I also get service everywhere in US for the last 12 years - tracfone rents off all the towers of other companies.

I am the VP of Royal Security Services, Inc..   We are a family owned and operated business in NE PA since 1985.   We cover an area that is no more than two hours from or office in the Pocono are of beautiful Pennsylvania.   We have been getting email and phone calls that are more than angry, some are out right threatening to kill us.   I can assure everyone that the calls are not us, or any company we have paid to call.   We are a word of mouth company, and never have or will, use telemarketing.   I can understand everyone's anger, as I too have been getting the calls, but they say they are other alarm companies.   We have posted a Fraud Alert on our web site and the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Information phone number (877-382-4357) to report if you are getting called.   Again I can under stand everyone's anger, as we too are suffering from the bad word of mouth going around the country about us, yes the country, we have gotten calls from CA to FL.   Some people I have talked to say to check your phone bill for small charges, even as low as pennies on the dollar, as if a company is charging you $.1 for a call and they make 1 million calls a week, the dollars add up fast.   Others think it is a larger company doing a survey of how many people are interested in alarms.   Who ever it is, we have and are taking many steps to try and put this to an end.   The one thing to ensure you it is not us, is the only way everyone has contacted us found our number, was not caller ID, but by Googling the name Royal Security.   Your help is needed to report this as well.   We are a member of and request that you report the calls to:

As stated above, my telephone service already allows me to block numbers.  The device at the link shown on my post above prevents robocalls from getting through to ring the telephone so there is no need to deal with them or be disturbed by them at all.

While your post makes a lot of really great points, I'll just point out that a lot of folks do not report, and some misunderstand the DNC as well.  One doesn't need to file just at the DNC itself, they can file with the FCC and FTC as well:

And I'll go on to point out that one can buy a call blocking device or phone. Cell phones they can get free apps for some of them, and some have call blocking also.  But for a hair under 60, I think the call blocking device for a land line is simple, effective and reasonable. For example, one can buy the T-lock, and it can block up to 1500 numbers.

I have received a robocall from this number and many others listed on this site and after researching them have come up with the following conclusions.

The Do Not Call list is not the answer.  Blaming the government because it is not the answer is a waste of your energy.  Laws are made for honest people to obey and people who are trying to steal from you are not honest people.  So at least put your number on it for the honest people.

Answering or not answering a robocall will not make any difference as far as whether you will continue to get calls from them - you will be called again no matter which you do.

When a robocall says to press a certain number to be put on their Do Not Call list and you do so it is also a waste of your energy.  Asking a robocaller to put you on their Do Not Call list is also a waste of your energy.

When I have the time, and since it does not cost me any money, I answer robocalls.  I waste as much of their time as I possibly can.  I give them wrong information such as wrong name.  I am sure you all could come up with some pretty good ones.  When they ask for a telephone number I give them one of the robocallers numbers.  I take time getting information they ask for, such as the telephone number on the back of a credit card, but not so much time that they hang up.  HOWEVER, I NEVER give them a credit card number of any kind, false or otherwise.  When it gets to this point it is time to hang up on them.  I win when I hang up on a robocaller and loose when they hang up on me!

Why do I do the above?  To keep them busy!  To waste their time.  To waste their money.  To prevent them from calling other people.  To prevent another robocaller from reaching me when I am wasting the efforts of another robocaller.  Just think of how many fewer robocalls there would be if everyone would do this.

After I am done with the robocall I block the number as I am able to do this with the telephone service I have and because I have to sleep during the day.

I know the above ideas are not a cure all but I feel it is better than just getting mad.

I have checked the Internet for solutions and the only thing I found that seems like a real answer, since my telephone service is not yet up to speed with NoMoRobo, which does not block legal robocalls anyway, is the device I found at www.tel-lynx.com.

"DBD" on caller ID with the number. Recording wanting to sell home security system.  "If not interested, dial 9"-did so; we'll see what happens!

Recorded voice tried to sell an alarm system. Told me to click "9" if I wanted to be removed from call list   I clicked "9" but Surprise, that didn't work. So I spoke to an Emily who asked for my name to be removed from her list. I didn't give her a name so she hung up on me.

Received another call from this number.  Kept Zeke on the phone for about 15 minutes and then called him really nasty names.  He laughed and hung up.

They called me a little while ago, DBD  what I do with these calls is transfer it to the phone in the living room, it just rings until it cuts off. As for the Do not call list, that is a farce, I have been on it since day one and my cell phone, they still call. One of these companies  Credit Card Services has been calling me for years different number but same people, and the DNC people know it yet I cannot get them to stop. Another worthless government agency.

I called this number and they are NOT the company. They have a fraud alert on their website at www.royalsecurity.us to alert people about this problem. They are investigating because they want to find out who is doing this as well!

I decided to answer saying "Hola" and got dead air...

Called and they said someone is using their name but they aren't the ones doing the telemarketing. Any idea if this is true or not? Obviously it's doing no good to follow their instructions to be removed from their database because they either keep calling anyway or call from another fake number. Total scumbags whoever they are. I'm up for a lawsuit if anyone has info.

Getting calls from this number too.  I do not answer numbers I do not know, or w/o a caller ID that I deem acceptable to pick up phone for.  I ALWAYS run unknown numbers through the Internet first.  Thanks folks for letting me know this is just another sales scam caller.

I fllowed up on this number. Royal Security, I have played the game of do-not call many times before with them. Every other day i get a call. SO i am passing along the information i have learned.
