New number on my caller ID. Left no message.....

got a call from 1-775-297-8580 to and noone answered on other end.

same number called 3 0r 4 times daily. Annoying

No one there when I answered it then it hung up

I am in NY and I get numerous calls a day from this number.  No one answer's, but then someone starts dailing numbers from there end.

Called 3 times today. Every time I answered there was a click and they hung up. Very annoying!

I receive 2 to 3 calls every day, 2 days per week, each week the past 3 weeks.  I answer and no one ever says anything. Caller ID says: 775-297-8580.  My number is on the "Do Not Call List".

They say they are from Ohio Gas and want me to get my gas bill and "go over things".  Yeah right.

Receive calls that show up on Caller ID as "Nevada Call" from 775-297-8580...but no one responds when you pick up?  Or were you treated rudely?
Temporary solution (this telemarketing firm will disconnect their line if my mehtods ANNOY THEM), CALL THEM INBOUND 866-513-1668 and when they answer put your phone down, don't hang up, just put your phone down and go do anything else you want.  In other words, screw with them and TIE UP THEIR INBOUND LINE.

what is going on with this? It seems like the majority of the people effected are in NYC. I use timewarner for phone service.

Alright, you've gotton this far.  The Caller ID says "Nevada call" but no one is there when you pick up.  Call that number back and you hear a non-telephone company recording "the number is disconnected".  WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW...you're on the web we know that, so...
go to FTC.GOV
Highlight the tab Consumer Protection, and click on the tab File A Complaint.  Write your story to the FTC.  Strength in numbers, do it!

I got a call from 775-297-8550.  I answered and there was just some scratching noise and then they hung up.  It was really weird.  Two and a half hours later the number called back and I did not answer.

Keep getting calls from this number as well as the 8581 all day long. Tried calling back and nobody answers. Aggravating. Tried to report it to the Do Not Call Registry and File a Complaint but the number is not registered with them. Annoying.

People, Caller ID is a big help. If you don't have it, get it. When the phone rings, look at the number displayed. If there's no name with the number, don't answer. This isn't rocket science.

I have received numerous calls from number 775-297-8580 in the past 2 days. When I answer all I hear is sounds like someone is playing with the number buttons. When I called back I got a recording saying "this number is disconnected and no longer in service..." I got that recording within a minute of recieving a call from the same number... I am in New York City....

answered a call from this number today. The caller identified himself as a member of a non-profit organization which is calling to gain support for the American Clean Energy Act, and offered to connect me to my congressional representative to see what her position was on this initiative, and encourage her to support it. He did in fact connect me to my congresswoman.

I understand that the Act has been amended several times, and the latest version contains additions by the oil coal and gas lobby, essentially gutting the purpose of the Clean Air Act. I am not in favor of the gutting, so am assuming that the call I got was from the Oil Coal and Gas lobbying effort.

got a call from 7752978580 and it was a solicitation from the Sierra Club.  They refused to remove my number from their call list because they were calling for my wife.
