I have now recieved 2 of the same calls from this company attempting to talk over the question where you agree to $30/month and insist that you answer "yes" and only "yes". When I said, "yes, I agree to the free ad." both times one agent hung up on me immediatly and the second agent actually replayed the question without talking over it and the question was "Do you agree to have $30/month charged to your phone bill". Both agents insisted the ad was a free listing and they were just verifying info. Total rip off. I have filed a complaint with the FCC.

This guy calls talking really fast about verifying your mailing address, company name, my name and title regarding a free listing in the white pages.
When I asked what company this is he just said it is a database verification company for Verizon, ATT....etc. Then he goes through this voice recording session where he wants you to state every answer to every question that you just told to him to be recorded! About midway through this process, I got a funny feeling that I was being hustled so I hung up.

Constantly get calls at work from this number -- when I pick up, I hear numbers dialing loudly in my ear, then get disconnected.

Soon after, I will get the actual call from a representative.

Never, EVER allow your voice to be recorded, for exactly the reasons already mentioned.

I tend to just hang up on them, but if I feel like being nice, I just say, "I'm sorry, I'm not authorized to do that."

Call terminates as soon as I answer the call.  I use to get an agent wanting to sell me a free ad.  I kept turning it down.

I am so tired of these calls.  What can we do?

I am getting several of these calls a week, just like all of the other comments posted, they either disconnect upon answer, or hear the back dialing, or if there is a live person, they claim to be verifing the correct information for the free listing of the business.  Total scam.  When they put you thru to verify the info, the rep talks over the recording so you can't tell what you are saying yes to.  Who are these people?  Make them stop!

Same as above,  we get 2 and 3 of this number calling use everyday.  Just dead air when we answer.  What does it take to stop these calls?  The FCC no call law is a total joke,  Nothing ever comes of reporting any of these scammers to the FCC.  The local telephone provider says they can't do any thing about it.  
Some one must have a way to get rid of them once and for all.

I first thought this was legit and went thru the confirmation with the guy asking questions and punching in the response...quickly sensed a scam and said I did not want service and hung up.  Since then they call 3-5 times a day with most times no one one other line.  The next time they call with someone on the other line I am going to try to get info from them.  Sure would like to see this operation busted on "Dateline".  Wonder how many businesses they have scammed into paying the 39.95 monthly on their phone bill.

This is a total scam - agent talks over the recorded message so you can't hear they are going to charge $39.95 a month to your phone bill for a "free" online yellow page ad.

I receive 3-5 calls a day from these pests. Experience the same things as those commenting earlier. Best I can determine is they are associated with PAC West Telecomm, Inc. out of Carson City, NV. Also may be T-Mobile. Does anyone have a method for cutting them off?

I am getting anywhere from 5 to 10 calls a day from this number. Never anyone on the line and if they are they just hang up. How do I make this stop?

SCAM ALERT

Said he was updating listing for Online Yellow Pages.  Went through steps where I had to answer several reasonable questions but he began TALKING OVER RECORDING then says I had to say yes to a FREE listing like last year when I could hear the recording in the background asking to agree to a charge.

I told him I wanted to hear the recording but he kept TALKING OVER IT and told me to answer yes to him unless I wanted to be charged.  When I told him that I didn't like what he was doing, HE HUNG UP ON ME.

SCAM SCAM How do they get away with this?  I asked him if this was a solicitation and he said NO.

If your phone bill gets charged, usually it is easy to get a full credit - make sure to get it ALL credited.

Got my first call today, but don't answer numbers with unknown area codes.  Thanks for all the postings and warnings!  (googled the number)  Had a similar call several months ago but I don't think it was from this number.  If you don't answer, they eventually give up!!  Just keep a record of the numbers so you know who it is.

This # called my office number.  No one there when we answered. I called the # back, and get a busy signal.

Call your phone company and ask to have all third party billing blocked. This way, even if you agree to something, they cannot bill you through your phone bill.

Called my business phone at 10:51AM on a Saturday. Did not leave any message.

Keeps calling here.  When I answer there are three ring tones.  Tried calling back many times but keep getting a busy signal.  Goggled the number and found many reports from the phone number

free intenet listing?  will watch to see if charged after reading all of these comments.  No more phone surveys or free offers.

Called to offer free online yellow pages.  Asked a few questions, and said we would have free online listing.  After reading these complaints, I  will never answer a phone survey again.  I will be watching my phone bill closely.

our business receives calls from this number at least 3 times a day.  usually, they just hang up when we answer but sometimes there will actually be someone on the line saying that they want to "update our yellow pages listing."  yesterday, i talked to one of these people and said that we were not interested and to take us off their call list.  they hung up after they heard me say that we weren't interested.  this is getting very aggravating because they are calling our business line.

NO ONE ON PHONE WHEN ANSWERED

They keep calling our business and it is so annoying!  Sometimes you hear nothing (then I hang up if they don't talk within a few seconds).  Another time you'll hear tones as if they're playing with the buttons on the phone or you hear a really loud dial tone.

I don't see how they get away with harassing businesses!!  Isn't there someone who can answer this and tell us what we can do?????  I've never heard of such a thing until the last two years.  And what are these harassers getting out of it??  This CAN'T be their jobs, can it?????  Unbelievable!!!!!

Calls my business at least 2x day. I called the telephone company and they said they get complaints about that number all the time. They told me to register on the do not call website, then if they call again report it to the Gov. Telephone company said its not T-Mobile but Pacific Bell. They can change origination data somehow.

Same thing as everyone else.  They are calling my business line about twice a day.  The first time they called it went to voice mail and they didn't leave a message.  The 2nd time they called I answered and they hung up.  Now, they just keep calling twice a day.

same number same stories, online yellow pages, wanting to upgrade info , I tell them quit calling and remove me from your calling list and they say no they don't have to because mine is a business phone number.
I tell the lady my number is on the do not call list and she says she is new on the job and can't help me, I tell her I hope she gets fired and she had piss poor people skills.

These people are a bunch of f****ng IDIOTS that are calling me 2-3 times a day. Last time when they called I asked them to suck mu dick and go f*** their mothers. The man from the other end had the courage to respond back, for the first time: "Excuse me, SIR, I don't understand what you are talking about!!"

This number keeps calling and either leaves no message or when I pick up there are just tones and beeps. Yesterday a woman responds and I tell her to stop calling my number....she was very rude and said that she was just calling for directions (ya..right) and I asked where she needed directions to?...she hung up. Hopefully this will stop. It is my business line and very distracting. I have also been on the do not-call-list for over two years...not much help being on that.
