I finally answered this phone call. He said he was from Cox Communications. they were offering to upgrade my high speed internet free trail for 30 days. Then it would be $10 extra each month after the 30 days.

12/18/2008 1:42pm couldnt leave a message if they wnted to, because 646-367-3289 played music untill the machine was full (preventing a message about a household memeber having car problems - a 83 year old lady had to take taxi home rather than get picked up and car fixed).

if this is cox ... why are they callng we already have the maximum whole cox package (full hishest speed internet, phone, cable, etc.).

Cox has been calling from the 775-319-1575 number everyday, sometimes 2 or 3 times.  My husband asked that they stop calling us and he was told they had a "right" to call.  I sent a rather firey e-mail to Cox requesting the telemarketing firm they're using take us off the calling list.  Cox replied they would remove our number "as a courtesy" but the do not call law does not apply.  They said it would take up to 10 days.  We have already had 3 calls today.  I'm about to cancel all Cox services. Perhaps if enough people complain, they'll get the message this is a tacky way to do business.

The calling company is a telemarketing company, Timberline Total Solutions.

They are an agent of Cox Communications.

Simply call Cox and tell them to remove you from their call list.

Cox Communications hires the marketing company that calls from 1-775-319-1575. My request to them for removing our phone number from this marketer was successful. In our geographical area Cox has now a strong competitor: Verizon fiber-optic network. They are starting to listen to their clients complains.

I Received a call from this number.  A young man asked for my wife by name, I advised him she was not available and he said that he would call back and hung up.  It is totally inappropriate to call my house without announcing yourself.  It is a call from Timberline Solutions.  Feel free to call them I have listed their contact numbers below.  Phone Numbers

Sales call from Cox Communications; I am a subscriber; wanted to sell me either the new "premium" Internet service (I have the normal) or a movie channel; told them I wasn't interested; rather persistent, had to say "no" several times.

Called COX...rep told me supervisor informed him that I would need to pay to have this number blocked...I didnt get upset, I politely informed the rep that I would not be paying COX to have a company that they farmed my number to blocked, and asked to speak with the supervisor. On hold for 5 min and the rep gets back on to inform me that the 1st supervisor was wrong and they removed my number from the list and/or blocked Timberline...still unsure about that, however beware of the sales pitch for the blocking service when dealing with COX regarding Timberline.

The 1-775-319-1575 number corresponds to a telemarketing company called Timberline. They are in Dyer, NV. In my geographical area, I have discovered that they are hired by COX COMMUNICATIONS. So, the best way to stop their calls is to get in touch with Cox, and ask them to remove your phone number from their marketing campaigns including Timberline. It works!!!!

Follow up to my earlier posts, 1/17/09 & 1/20/09:

I received a response from Cox Communications:

"We do apologize for the inconvenience. The $2.50 charge each month is only to prevent the number from being listed in phone book or available through 411.

The company soliciting you for new services is acting as our agent in informing you about special promotions as part of your ongoing business relationship with our company.

We understand your frustration with these calls and have marked your account "Do Not Call" for future campaigns. Please note that it can take up to 10 business days to remove your name from the current calling lists."

I have not received any further calls from this number.

Calls from 1-775-319-1575 arrive daily, between 5:00-10:00 PM. There is never a message. We have reported this number already 3 times to the no-call national registry. However the calls continue to arrive. There is a tremendous persistence from their part. The issue has being going on for more than two months.

I solved my problem with this number. After learning it was a COX Communication call I called COX. They told me to call my telephone carrier. I called the number in question and found it to be Timberline Children's Solutions, and varified this at a later date. I called my telephone vender and got nowhere.
I recalled COX and told them I ran the complete loop and now I'm calling to break the loop.
I had learned that this telephone number was out sourced by COX. I spoke to Angel and told him my beef and I didn't want the loop repeated. He informed me I would be removed from the liat. That was 2007 hours on 21 Jan 2009. Today is 28 January and I haven't had a call from this number since. Now I have another telemarketing number to work on.

Receiving calls several times a day from this number - no one is ever on the other end of the line nor do they leave a message if I let it go to voice mail. Caller ID is "Dyer", location, Nevada. I'm getting sick of this, and someone needs to disable the number.

I get a call or two from this number every day.  I never answer and keep reporting to the do not call registry.  I have never used Cox and it's not even available in my area so there's no way they have a "right" to call me.

Receive calls on a daily basis from this number.  Answered it this evening, no one spoke, only a few clicks and disconnected.  I have contacted Cox Communications, since they are on the caller ID.  To date, Cox Communications has been unresponsive to my requests to have the number stop calling.

Yeah, me & my husband have been receiving calls from this number for the past two weeks. It would be nice if an actual being was on the other end, but we keep getting hung up on. I decided to call them myself. I called this morning & told the rep to take my number off their list. HOW RUDE!!!!

Follow up to my post 1/17/09.

More calls:
1/17/09 - 6:01 pm
1/19/09 - 4:40 pm
1/19/09 - 7:32 pm
1/20/09 - 12:14 pm

Caller ID is always "Dyer, NV 1-775-319-1575"

I called this number and spoke with a customer service rep. who said she represented Timberline Total Solutions.  She said she could not find my phone number in her system. I asked who called me and why and she said that, as a third party she couldn't tell me. I asked who the second party is. She put me on hold for a couple of munutes then said a supervisor would call me back in 10 to 15 minutes. I received no call back.

I called again and got a different rep.  He found my number in the system. He said they were calling on behalf of their customer, Cox Communications. I asked him if Cox Communications, to whom I pay $2.50 per month not to release my phone number, had provided my phone number to them. He confirmed that Cox is the source of the phone number information.

I told him not to call my number any more. He then tried to deliver a telemarketing monologue, on behalf of Cox, to me. I interuupted him and said I didn't want to hear it and not to call me again. He politely agreed and I thanked him.

Now I am going to call Cox Communications to attempt to obtain an explanation from them. I will post the results.
