Same old credit card interest rate scan. Recording: "because you have made your credit card payments on time for the past six months, you are eligible for a lower interest rate". Duh, which credit card, dude? Plonk.

I finally got curious to see if any of the OLD (year ago, or more) numbers being used by these hucksters were still being used. The ones I picked, were. I wanted to start cutting down on my blocked list before hitting the max number I can save. Has anyone taken the time to keep track of many of their blocked numbers to see if some of them stop being used over time?

Received call and when I answered, the guy wanted to speak to me about my credit card accounts?? I just hung up.

Reply to "Bill in NJ" I have a Pansonic DECT 6.0 phone. It will block up to 30 numbers.
Also BtightHouse phone service also blocks calls for you here in Florida.

June 12, 2013 The same old repeated junk - to be able to lower my interest rates on my credit cards. I pay it off every month so don't have extra unwanted charges. I can't believe that anyone would be suckered in to this crap. What is the purpose of the" DO NOT CALL LIST"? Can't Obama even handle something as simple as this????

Just receive a call from this number and did not answer. Received a voice mail stating that if I wanted to lower my credit card interest rate, please press 1 now. So this is truly just another scam out there folks. Do not answer any calls that you do not recognize the number from.

The recording states this is a credit card service company and that you need to call them right away about your existing credit card. When you dial this number back it is a recording to offer you Magic Jack. The recording gives you the option to speak to a person but when pressing the prompt the line disconnects. Magic Jack knows this is harrasssment.

Mr. Obama - educate yourself. First, check your spelling before you go public. Second, check your facts and do your own background homework. Third, don't respond if it isn't intelligent.

Did you know "Rachel" has a new friend? Now we've got Kathy calling to tell us "because you've been making all your payments on time, you've qualified for a reduction in your interest rate" - Now, since D and I don't use credit cards and L only has ONE and THEY would announce themselves properly, we KNOW this is a bogus call. Another clue - you try to call the number back and it's not in service - it's called SPOOFING and it's illegal.
Autodialer 2013-04-12 23:22:14 Telemarketer
Left partial recorded message about 'press 1 now to speak to a live representative to reduce your rates'.

If you get to talk to somebody (I didn't -- they just hung up) tell them the person they want has a new phone number. Give them your US Congressman's local office phone number (I keep it on a sticky note by the phone). Maybe if his office gets some of these calls, he'll do something about it. Maybe they'll ca

Here's what I don't understand: I'm writing here to complain about phone scammers and as I write this, pop-ups are jumping up on my screen asking me to "click here to find out your arrest record." Makes me wonder if our info is being "captured" so scammers can use our info to do more scamming! Does the complaining ever do any good?
LML 2013-03-25 19:32:33 Unknown
Same old credit card scam artists with a new recording and a new (apparently, spoofed) phone number.
LML 2013-03-25 19:30:53 Unknown
Just the same old credit card scam with a new number and recording. Kelly or some name like that saying because I make payment on time, I'm eligible for a lower interest rate on my (unidentified) credit card account, but time was short so if I didn't act now, my "case" would be closed. (If only!) Press 9 (?) to talk with someone or 3 (?) to no longer receive these calls. (Again, if only!) As I was puzzling out which number I was supposed to press in order to give someone a hard time (because pressing the number to be removed from the list is pointless with these scam artists), the call disconnected. But I'm sure they will call again, and again, ad nauseum. Calling the number back (after blocking my number) nets you a Magic Jack ad that states that the number you called has not yet been claimed by one of their customers, which is either a lie or the scam artists are (surprise!) spoofing their phone number.

After the election, which I still don't understand how so many DEAD people can vote, I erased all the blocked calls and started all over. With this number I now have my limit of 20.
