People Such as Mr Hollan give a bad name to those of us who really are trying to assist people in their job searches. I hate hearing stories of people PREYing on the hopes and dreams of people who are in need of jobs for whatever reason. Apparently, Mr Hollan is either desperately in need of legitimate employment or he's made a career, successful or not, out of taking advantage of people. Fortunately, Karma does not discriminate and whatever he's putting out there, he will receive the same of... "An eye for an eye..." ... "We reap what we sew" ... "Give and ye shall receive"... "We get out of life what we put into it"... He will receive exactly what he's giving if he hasn't already! Rest assured of that!

Having sid that, I'm in need of an office Manager for our organization. We are a high tech company (Microsoft Certified Gold Partner) based in Chicago, IL. If you are interested or know anyone who might be, please forward the resumes to me and I wont have you create emails/profiles and you won't have to buy anything!

I also got an e-mail from Search2solution Computer.  The exact same one from Ann Kelly.  I did the yahoo interview and they asked me what the name of my bank is.  I thought that was strange. So I researched it and all I could find was this site.  I am glad someone posted it.  Thank you!  I am not sure if it is a scam as I did not follow through with it until they asked me my personal info.  All they got out of me was my name, location and name of my bank.  (I hope that is not too much for them to steal from me) I wasn't going to continue to converse with them if there is a chance they can hack into my bank account just to find out if it really was a scam.  They were willing to pay me $27 hr.  So that was my first clue.  If it seems to good to be true, it is!

Thank goodness I found this site.  I responded to an ad on CraigsList and received an email from Whittney.  I'm on-line with Donnel Hollan as I'm writing this.  I too went through this phony interview process and he congratulated me on being a Dell employee.  When I started questioning him he sent me a detailed work description.  I doubted that Dell Computers would be operating this way so I haven't sent him any information.  He's asking for my name address and phone numbers.  I've delayed sending it and all of a sudden "he has other things to fix here".  I too was going to call Dell and try to confirm whether he was legit.  We need to report these scammers.

I just went through this same exact scenario with Donnel Hollan. I also am job searching through Craigslist and other sites as well. I did send him my full name, address and phone numbers before I googled and found this site. Then I called Dell Company and they told me they have never heard of him.
He wanted me to set up a new bank account with Bank of America for payment. I told him I wanted paid by check. He said yes, and then later in the conversation told me I had to set up an account with Bank of America. He told me I had to purchase Quickbook PRO 2009 before our meeting Monday.
I still had him online when I found out he was fake, I busted him out. Told him I was reporting him as we spoke and in fact by the way, my sister is an Attorney and my oldest daughter is a Chicago Police Officer. Told him to delete my email with my phone numbers in it. He disappeared from yahoo immediately.
Thank you everyone for posting, I knew it was a little to good to be true.... Good luck everyone in your job searches!

Same thing just happened to me today!  I responded to an admin job on Craigslist and when I got an email from Whitteny asking me to set up a Yahoo account I though that was a little strange.  So I Googled her email and came up with this site!  I'm glad I didn't go any further!  Disturbing to know there are people out there looking to take advantage of those who are out of work in these times.

Her email:  whittney.hollan@yahoo.com
The guy I was supposed to 'chat' with:  derrickchattom@yahoo.com

Same thing here, went almost EXACTLY as Candace above wrote.  I went a step further and told him that I googled his name, knew it was a scam, and told him to go to hell.

EXACT same story as those above. Identical email. Similar chatting experience over Yahoo Messenger. I asked him if he had anyway of verifying his identity and connection to Dell Computers, and he failed to respond. I am so glad these avenues of information exist. I am too young and to broke to deal with identity theft or fraud! Thank you to all above who have reported the 'Hollans'. Good luck in your job hunts.

An e-mail came this morning from whittney.hollan@yahoo.com from Dell. It said to add donnelhollanhm@yahoo.com to my e-mail browser on Yahoo so that we could do an interview via IM. This was weird to begin with. I am new to Arizona and had answered an ad on Craigslist (a well used site in this area). I sent my resume yesterday evening as a response to the ad and was contacted first thing this morning. As he was IMing me, I Googled his name and this came up. Soooo thankful people had posted their information. I was into the begining intro to the 'online interview' and was able to cut it off before he asked for anything further.

He asked me to work for him as well. I did not give out my SS#, but he said he would fax over paperwork for me to sign, presumably an I-9 or contract. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN ANY INFORMATION. HE IS TRYING TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY AND IS COMMITTING FRAUD. I have reported this to ic3.gov.

I recieved an email about a job offer, paying 23 dollars an hr. Doing work from at home, such as accounting, data processing, etc. they did a brief interview thru yahoo messenger. He says his name is Donnel Hollan, told me I was hired, and i need to send him my information, including access to my banck account for direct deposit. Of course I was weary of this, and asked for more information about the company. I was directed to the Dell website, and he said I would need software to access the part of the website for verification. I asked for him to call me, and the line was VERY DISTORTED, and he had an African accent. I asked for more verifiable info, such as a direct number, even a company prospectus. But after waiting for more then I should've, I still recieved nothing, when he finally returned, it wasn't with anymore info, then he had given me previously, he then told me to contact him monday, as he was just at work doing some "things", and that his secretary will be in touch with me. Oh yea, and he was not a very good speller. I say beware, never give out your info to someone who contacts you!! especially thru yahoo..
