Phone call 1st, then letter, then second letter with CHASE Cashiers Check for $4,995.00, of which $1,995 is supposed to go back to them via WU---so glad I checked Google, knew this was a scam, but couldn't figure out what the scam was since they never asked for CC #'s or BA #'s or SS#. I plan to call CHASE and let them know that phony Cashiers Checks are floating around, I really feel sorry for people that don't check this out---they are very clear about not telling anyone, I too think this is meant to catch older folks.
There really isn't a Santa Claus!

I received the letter from Treeshore Vue Trust. It did sound a bit hard to believe but in these hard times everyone is hoping for that windfall. I have not received the second letter yet but will be trashing it. Like everyone says, I hope this Deen Mash rots in hell. Thanks everyone for the information.
Not a sucker 2011-12-02 18:19:17 Unknown

Got the same letter in the mail yesterday morning. Just have to have some fun with these idiots ;) Told them that I would need the money in CASH and need them to bring it to me in person. Said I would cover any resonable expenses for this service as well as any clearance fees out of the winnings once I had the cash in hand. You can guess what the reaction was.... LOL

Thanks - got the same letter 11-7-11 only they don't want me to send money they will take it out of the check. I do how ever need to call them to set up the deduction for taxes. I'm assuming they will ask for the usual ss# and date of birth. This sounds so tempting and easy but we all know its a scam. I am worried though, that they may be targeting people over fifty or older with this one. I'm glad we are watching out for each other. thanks

got the letter addressed to my father, who died in 2000! From TREESHORE VUE TRUST, with the $250,000.00 amount mentioned above. Names on this letter to contact were DEAN MASH or ANGEL HUNT. I immediately googled this company and names and came out as scam. I posted a scamreport on my FB page also mentioning this current scam. I am grateful for google!! YEAH!

Didn't get a phone call. Just got a letter today from Threeshore Vue Trust. With the economy the way it is, I fear there probably were a lot of people desperate enough to fall for this scam. I really wish there were some way to get these criminals & give them what they deserve!
Betty 2011-09-02 20:19:08 Unknown
I also received this letter. There are always going to be scams out there, there always have been. I'm just glad we have the internet nowadays. Everyone should always check these things out on the net!!
Kim 2011-09-01 17:04:29 Unknown
Yup I got the same letter.glad I googled it. Thanks
anonymous 2011-09-01 01:42:36 Unknown
THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, scammed-money refund, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. If you give them the WU Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for the wire, they can pick up the money from anywhere in the world. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I thought it was to good to be true. Things arn't free we should know better I hope other's read this stuff carefully before responding. It' a shame these things have to happen there telling me another letter was to follow this one and it would tell me what I am to do.They told me to go to my bank and open a account so I could get my money direct deposit. We should alert the BBB and let them know this is happening.

I received the same letter. Made the call. Got a check to pay the taxes. I was not asked to send any money of my own. I'm checking this out now on the internet. I am glad that I found your message.
dubious 2011-08-22 20:02:48 Unknown
I got a letter saying I had won $250,000 and was to call 011-44-775-848-0033 and ask for Deen Mash
or Linda Woodhunt. After sending in my clearance fee, I would receive my money from a payment office in Buffalo, NY.
To bad this is a scam. Of course all offers are scams that require a payment ahead of time to receive a payout.
Debra 2011-08-20 22:00:05 Unknown
I recieved a letter in the mail saying I have won $250,000.00 US dollars the phone number is from UK, the number is.......011-44-775-848-0033 said I would be getting a certified check after some fees were deducted, of course I didn't believe it, it's a letter from THREESHORE VUE TRUST ask for Deen Mash or Linda Woodhunt. I know it's a scam and just wanted to warn people about it, because some people could go out and get loans thinking they are coming into all this money. Please people don't buy into this especially the elderly. I don't want them to lose their savings and retirment money on these scum bags. Shame on these people, is there no honesty at all left in the world.
Sincerely,
Debra

No phone call, a letter stating the same as Nichols that I won 250,000 from a lottery house in the UK, giving 2 weeks to claim. The phone number had 011-44 before the 775-0033, to bad it's a scam! Could use the $$-who couldn't.
