We have gotten several calls just today from this number.  We ansswer and there is nobody responding on the other end.  The last call I just picked up and said nothing... just listened. Could hear tapping and breathing. Then they disconnected.  Its really frustrating so I am keeping tabs and gonna file a police report I think.. This is phone harassment.

Glad to see I'm not the only one getting harassed. Got at least 6 calls all day but luckily no voicemail messages and I never picked up due to unrecognizable number. Have never received calls from this number before - all new today.  I called Charter and they said telemarketers hide their real callback numbers with "dumby numbers" like this. They did give me some valuable tips:
1. report the number to the FCC - federal communication commission on their website as fraud/harassment
2. If youre a Charter customer, dial *60 and go thru the prompts to block this specific number from getting thru again. You can block up to 12 numbers at a time just make sure you pick option"on" at the very end.
Feels good to fight back even if only a little :)

How do you block this number.  Can anyone be notified of the situation and to prevent the calls from happening.  We have laws to protect us, in this country, from harassing phone calls!

It's noon on 1/24/11. I have received 10 calls today, starting at 6:32 AM!!! PLEASE STOP!!! I'm not sure what to do. Tonight I will turn off all my phones.

They called my home at 5am!!! 7am and 9 am so far this morning. No one, no machine, no message, a few seconds of silence, then they dissconnect.

I have received 2 calls from 777-292-6849 on 1/21 and also 8, yes 8 calls today.

I do not answer and they are calling my Cell Phone too.
They leave no Message either.

This is my personal cell phone the number is calling. What an outrage that my personal information can be sold to some pesky entity such as this and there is nothing for me to do to stop it!

call me 6 times in the last hr and called me 4 time yesterday all within an hr of each other

Received another call 01-23-2011. Called my phone company, Charter, and the operator checked the 777-292-6849 number and told me that the area code must be from overseas. He then put a block on all phone calls coming from out of the country for me as I do not have any family or friends who call me from overseas. If you have family and or friends who do call you from overseas I don't know what the answer is. Will wait and see how this works.

Already tried to block the call.  It can't be blocked because it is an international call.

you can't call the number back because there is no such number, there is no 777 area code.

Received 8 calls from this number within 2 hours, 01-21-2011. No one is ever on the line. Tried to call number back using redial and got message, " Either number is disconnected or I dialed it incorrectly".
Will attempt to block number from within phone system.

Same deal here.  We got calls from this number at 6:45, 7:00, and 7:20 this evening.  We answer and no one says anything, just hear clicking.

Same as you guys This company keeps calling me at least 3 times in the last 2 hours. try to call it back and you get "your call cannot be completed as dialed" must be some overseas company. If your going to try to save money on my electric bill your going to have to move in and follow my kids around my house. They are the reason for my high electric bill, leaving their lights on, computer on TV on all night......Let them call me and actually want to talk...I have allot to say...lol

Yes Yes Yes that is the exact same thing that happened earlier this evening...its amazing how many people reported that number in just the last couple hours....I believe the second time for us it rang twice and didnt even get to pick it up. Ahy yahy yahy....

I received two calls from this number.  First call they hung up @5:13, At 6:18 a second call.  A male caller asking for me by name.  Heavy east Indian accent.  Asking if I would like to save money on my electric bill.  I told him I was on the no call list.   No solicitation calls and I was not interested.  I hung up.  What can we do to get rid of unwanted calls.  I have tried all the conventional ways.

We  seem to be getting calls from different numbers every day with the same pattern of hang ups as soon as we pick up.. This call was received twice on Jan 21, 2011 at 6:30pm and 7:45pm they appear to hang up as soon as we pick up.
