Just got a call from this number. I didn't answer but they kept calling.

Just got a call from them too.  Claiming to be from Optimum Online, verifying who my voice carrier was...

Just got a call from this number. Same Indian accent as noted above. He asked for "Mr. or Mrs._____". I said what is this about? He said he was from some insurance company (didn't get the name due to his heavy accent). I said that I don't take solicitation calls and that I am on the NO CALL list...for him to remove my number from the databank...he hung up. So, I suggest you all ignore a call from this number. Odd, I've never seen a 777-888----- number before.

JUst received a call from this number and the guy had an indian accent (or at least South Asian) and he was trying to 'verify' personal information, saying that we had 'won' something!! TOTAL FRAUD. He was a total JERK and extremely RUDE after I told him 'no thank you' and continued calling to harass us. DO NOT PICK UP THE PHONE IF YOU RECEIVE A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.

This number called me today around 5:00pm. I didn't answer, obviously because of the number on the caller id (which by the way, if I were to be in their position would chose a much less suspicous looking number). The phone rang until the machine picked up, they hung up and called back immediatly and still no message. I thought it was weird until I read these posts and now it kind of makes more sense. Seems to me as though they could be a bunch of pranksters. Scam artists are usually much more focused on getting your money then these people appear to be. Either way, I hate it when people bother other people at home. It is very annoying and if anybody reading this does this for a living, I understand you need to get paid, but please, please find another job for the sake of all humanity! Together we can end telemarketing!

These guys are creeps. They asked me if I had a visa or master card and I said no and he kept asking me what I am doing in the country and told me to pack my bags and leave immediately.  I told them to F-off AND they called back and whispered all creepy " YOU F- off too". Very creepy.  Also they knew my name.

Received a call from this number 1/25/10 7:25 pm.  A male asked for a specific person in my house and when I responded by saying:  "May I ask who is calling please?", he hung up the phone.

11:17 am Nov 23, 2009.  Answered a call from 777-888-3456.  I didn't look at the caller ID until later as I was expecting another caller.  I was annoyed.  As reported earlier there was music in the background and a sense of other people.  An unknown Caucasian male voice, about 40, with a Scotish accent too cordially asked how I was.  I replied, "Annoyed." He tried to mollify me with 'symathetic' cajolery.  I took that as a signal of an attempt to transfer money from my pocket to another and hung up.  I Do wish they'd add chareties to the Do Not Call List.  Surely no one Wants to receive such calls.  Better they give the post office some business.

There was a call today from this number on our phone in Germany. We were not at home and the caller didn?t speak on our voice mailbox. I googled and found this website.

I just got a call no idea what they wanted sounded like they just wanted to keep me on the line. The guy had the nerve to ask me if i was married and if i wanted to go to dinner with him. i could hear him talking to other people and laughing.

777 is not in the NANP, so I'm guessing these guys are calling from Callcentric.com accounts (free VoIP). Callcentric numbers look like telephone numbers (1-777-xxx-xxxx). Complain to Callcentric.

Got a call from this number at the office and said he was from Optimum Online and wanted to speak with the owner. After I told him the owner had left for the day and that we are with Optimum Online for their services he asked me how old I was so I asked him why mattered and he kept trying to guess my age. I told him my age was none of his business and hung up. I think this isn't just a scam these people are creeps! Is there a way to report them to the authorities? I mean what happens if they happen to talk to a young girl that happens to answer their house phone and people like this guy is on the other line?

Today at 6pm a call from a man with a foreign accent (India maybe)  who wanted to know if I was interested in having the heating vents cleaned.  Said no! Then asked how I felt and was I tired all the time?  Thought that strange!!  Hung up on him! Who are these people anyway?  Big pests!

Just got a call from 777-888-3456, they asked for me but told them she's not available.  The Guy just hung-up....how rude!  Why is it that we have these laws against Telemarketing but yet, we still get them and they can call as many times and all hours of the night.

Governments should really put a STOP to this!!!!

get a call from this number at least once a week - guy claims he is selling a promotional package for Dish Network!!!! SO ANNOYING! If we want to get Dish or anything else, I think we all have the brains to go search it up ourselves and purchase it.

Got a call, didn't recognize the number so I let the machine answer, no message left. Anyone know who this is?

Is this number a scam? Keep calling without leaving messages. Hell, please stop this nonsenses.

Called today, twice, first time no message, second time the machine picked up some chatter. Weird call, clapping in the background, male voices all that was legible was "their not answering it".. .really strange call.

That doesn't seem to be a real area code. How could people make a fake number show up on caller ID, and is tha t legal?
