Called my work looking to get the name of out operations director to send out invitations. I suspect they are looking for info to sell to other companies.

Got call from this number.  Just posted vehicle for sell on autotrader and craigslist.  Also got two calls from 702 area code asking to sell car for us.  The 7778891149 number just hung up after difficulty hearing.  I'm happy to see reviews on internet.   Very helpful.

Wanted to buy my car from an online ad. Caller had broken English and said she was a broker and had a buyer, but obviously knew nothing about cars. A SCAM for sure!

I have received 4 calls from 777-889-1149 today alone. They ask for the IT Manager, and say they are from S&G and want to send out an invite to the next IT World Summit. When I asked what S&G was I got hung up on.
I have asked them 4 times to remove our number, they didn't so I blocked them.

Someone from this number called our office.  They ask for the IT manager and after having been told many times, we cannot give that information and asking them not to call again, the calls continue.   A veiled threat to me was made today when I asked for their company name and told them I was going to report them to the BBB.   The man repeated my name and business address and told me I'd see.

this number has called my office 12 times today, they have really strong (india?) accents and a horrible noisy background. they have asked for multiple poeple trying to figure out who our owner is and what relation we have to a certain company but i cant understand most of what they are saying or what company they are from! and when they get someones voicemail that i have transferred them to, they call right back and ask for someone else and then the last call they demanded to speak with my supervisor. She was in a meeting, sorry but theres nothing i can do if the California office doesnt answer their phones, i'm just the operator in DC.

They called me today, just 24 hours after I listed my vehicle on Kijiji saying they feel the price fits and would I be interested is paying them $500 if a they found a buyer for my vehicle at full asking price.  They said I would be hearing from their finance manage within 24 hours.  Obviously a room full of dialers as it was difficult to hear the filipino accented caller.  We'll see what happens tomorrow.

These people have called my work twice in the last 2 days---extremely pushy and when they dont get their way on the phone they hang up. --- Next time they call they will get the same rude "click" in their ear.

Got the call today from 777-889-1149  soon after listing my car for sale on cars.com and craigslist.  Asked me if I would be interested in paying them $500 if a they found a buyer for my vehicle at full asking price.  They said I would be hearing from their finance manage within 24 hours.  They also asked questions about the car and if it had been wrecked and why I was selling.  I did not tell them why I was selling as it is none of ther business. It sounded like a mumbai, India call center to me.  May or may not be a scam, but I am not providing them with any more information than they can find online in my car ad.  They may simply be passing the info to companies in the US. I have been called by similar companies in the past (when I have had cars for sale) with a Las Vegas area code that want to sell my car for me....etc....

This is a SCAM call center. I posted a car for sale on Craigslist, and they called several times. When I answered they offered to sell my car for me, at the guaranteed asking price, if I would be willing to pay them $500 up front fee. The woman spoke with a heavy accent. The background noise was heavy call center noise.

They just called me too for the same reason. THANK YOU ALLLLLL for sharing your experience

777 889-1149 everybody understands that this ias an annoyance caller..... Right?. If you ask them not to call again they will take great pleasure in CALLING ANYWAY.....I was able to stop them .....without saying a word . I keep A Marine Sport AIR HORN by my phone When this number shows up ( and any other ANNOYANCE NUMBER)  I pick up the line and blast the air horn into the phone. Like magic  they never call again. Maybe because it gives them a nice headacheand a ringing in their ears for a while.

Just received a call from this number at my office, and after seeing the 777 area code on the caller-id (thank goodness for caller-id!) I decided not to answer, Google the number, and I am really glad that I didn't answer the call. Thank you all for posting your experiences with this number!

PS: I really like the air horn idea!

We have gotten repeated phone calls from this number after posting on Craig's list, also a 702-247-8411 number wanting us to let them sell our car.  Really frustrating, Now we aren't answering the calls, period.

Answered the call today to have fun with them.  I asked her breast cup size and she hung up.  Then a few minutes later she called back.  I said did you miss me :)

I hope her boss calls me tomorrow >:)

It's a Craigslist autodialer robot.  Post an ad, instead of emailing you spam, you get continuous calls.  Ignore them and pray the owner dies of a** cancer!

Way to go!  I've done something similar myself.  I put my microphone up to my amp, which gives off loud and earsplitting feedback.  They don't call back for sure!  :)

stop calling

Jerks keep calling about selling my car for a price.  I keep telling them I'm not interested and to remove me from their list.   I just want the calls to stop!  Just Now called again.  This time I just kept yelling TW@T over and over again until they finally hung up on me.  Maybe now they will remove me from their scam spam list!

Called my number - I suspect that it got my number on my add for car for sale online.

I started getting them right after I posted my car for sale on Craigslist. They have a buyer and for 500 bucks they can get my asking price.  The accent is very heavy, India maybe...  I could barely understand her.  Told her a scam works better if you actually speak the language of the person you are trying to scam!!!  I kept asking them to stop calling and to take me off their spam/scam list.  I finally yelled TW@T in the phone until she hung up on me.  Let's see if they call back

Calls our office multiple times asking for a buying executive; harrassing and extremely rude.  The accented woman on the other end of the line lies, threatens, and then swears at you when you asked to be taken off the call list.  Then she calls back and you repeat the cycle. Complete scam artists.

I'm baffled, reading all the notes here about this number. It called our one business line on Saturday but since it was a spoofed number, I did not answer. Within minutes it called my other business line (mind you these are numbers for two completely separate businesses, one LLC, one sole proprietor, within the same building!)
Fast forward to Monday morning and they just did it again, except in reverse, calling my husband's line, the immediately calling my line. I still did not answer.
Oh, and I do not have a vehicle for sale anywhere and we don't use Craigslist for anything.

Same deal as the rest i didnt answer. I put a truck on craiglist and this # called.

Listed my car on cars.com today and have gotten six phone calls from this number. Thank you for posting these warnings. I have been confused all day about these calls and it's very hard to understand why they are calling. Just blocked the number from my phone.

i pray you'all can type fast so as soon as number like this shows up,
you punch it into google and if it shows up on this site, don't even bother
answering...that will save you a lot of time!

I just got a second call (Jan. 20, 2010) from this lady with an accent.  She asked if my car was still for sale.

The first time she called was a week ago, she never called back after I experienced a drop call.  Nor did I bother to call her back as I didn't recognize the 777 area code.

The second time, I told her the car was sold.  I only advertised it on Craigslist.  So that is the source of her phone number.

I just got this call today.  I didn't answer it, but if it is about a car these guys are getting good, real good.
As I am THINKING about buying a car this weekend and have not contacted anyone or answered any craigs list or other ads -------- Damn, its got to be TELEPATHY !!!!!  No one is safe.  These guys are good.  I did drive into a dealers lot last week ------ that's how got me!!!
