this number showed in my missed call display, i called back but a recording said that it is no longer in service. can any phone company number provider provide the registered owner of this number please?

i got called from 7783708989 and it was a machine recorded lady voice
she said i had won 100000 airmiles to claims this press 1 and i did press 1
soon i press 1 it just hang up        it was on my iphone

Got a call today from this number.  Didn't answer and there was no message.  Looks like a scam.

I got a call from same number, saying i won 100,000 air miles, silly me i pressed one when it said to accept whatever .... was on hold then someone asked if i had credit card, i said visa, then put on hold again ... stupid me, then the call disconnected ... was about a 3 minute call, better not see any b***s*** charge on my card ... not sure how they can when i didn'd give out card info ...

I got the call at lunch today.  I didn't answer.  I bought my phone direct from Bell.  I suspect they are just autodialing every number

I got that call a few minutes ago, but it was "Air Miles" saying I won 100,000 air miles, press 1 to claim prize. I hung up. First of all, any contest I enter with air miles, I give my email, not my phone number, second of all, I don't remember entering any contest. I think they're going to just pull any big wig company name and try to use it. They can burn in the depth of hell. OR they can sign up for human guinea pig testing for pharmacutical companies....THAT would be karma. And for once in their pitiful little lives they would actually be contributing to society...

Just missed this call - thanks to everyone who posted on here - now I know not to answer that call!

Missed the call, no message. Called back and a recording stated that it was an "over seas number" and I could call it but only if I requested to from my phone company.

Got a call August 26/2010 @ 2:28p.m. from 17783708989 on my cell in Edmonton, Alberta, missed it, called back, same crap about the number being disconnected.

Received a call today on my cell, didn't answer it. tried calling it back and it said it was no longer connected. guaranteed telemarketing call.

These a**holes called me too. I did not answer.

Just had a missed call on my cell phone from that #.  why would anyone call the number back when they don't know who it is?

"because you are a valued costco customer...". I am not a costco customer. I am really sick of these automated calls.

I got a call from this number just 5 mins ago and immediately hung up.  It's an automated message regarding me being a valued costco customer and I've won something...

I was gonna add it to my do not call contact and have it routed straight to vm anyway...  Can this be further reported?

They call from a valid number but the list it as a number local to you hoping you will answer it.  This is a common scamming technique.  I agree it should not be allowed.

This is most certainly a scammer.  I highly recommend never answering numbers you don't know and NEVER EVER press buttons to authorize anything after answering a number you don't recognize.

Just got call but it was +7 783708989,didn't answer but was fishy as code +7 is for Russia

They called already... Refused to answer it.

Got a call from the same number on my Calgary cell - showed up with the international 011 preceeding it on my caller ID, missed the call and there was no message, had me worried it was relatives from UK but obviously just a scam.

Just got a call from this number, I didn't answer and it didn't leave a message. And based on the notices on here I'm glad I didn't answer if its a way to charge my phone...

Just got a call...didn't know the number so I Googled it and found this site.  A lady in the office beside me got the same call this morning claiming they were offering prizes from Costco.  

Gonna look into this, as my number is registered on the Do Not Call list...might be worth some legal action just to prove a point :)

I just called this number back and it says that it is out of order......that is too strange

Got a call from this number but it was 011 7 783-708989,  the 011 designates an international call and the 7 means country code either Russia or Kazakhstan...  Keep an eye on how much this calls cost you.

Got a call from this number as well. i never pick up!
