Cell rang & I didn't recognize the caller so didn't answer.

Won another tri to the Bahamas. 4th or 5th call. pests

this number called me a few weeks ago. the only 3 places that know my phone number should be my parents, my siblings, and work. so I did not answer.
I don't even give my number to online pages like Facebook or Paypal so I know it's nothing like that.

can't the government or phone companies remove this number from service?

Called yesterday.  Glad I only missed the "free cruise survey" phishing scam again.  Reported to the CRTC since my cell phone is on the DNCL.

This number appeared on my cell offering a free cruise. Scammers. When I called the number out of curiosity, the message said the "survey time" was over.

This number called my cell phone - I am on the National DO NOT CALL List.  Will be reporting this number to them.

How do these guys keep operating you'd think at some point they'd call a cop or government official and then maybe some our hard earned tax dollars might get used for Something legitimate and not for some jack*** government official to exploit for there own personal gain. Called Dec.7/13@4:23pm & 4:22pm - didn't recognize area code so didn't answer.  Thanks posters for exposing this as another FAKE 'take a survey; win a cruise' scam.  These callers are usually off-shore telemarketing centres, hired by organized crime.  They don't know you - they use computers and VoIP connections to robo-dial number after number until they get a 'live one' and try the scam; they are instructed to lie, often.  This one usually seems like they're trying to set you up for a 'vacation' (getting your credit card info  and address in the meantime) but then turns to a timeshare selling scam - only there is no real timeshare; that's a front for money laundering.  What they are really after is your Identifying Info and any other data they can get like credit card; passport #; address; banking info - anything they can use to create Fake IDs which they use to commit more fraud of all kinds!  See the RCMP website Top Scams list.  Also you can run a search on "CBC Marketplace, To Catch a Telemaketer".  There was a class action lawsuit in Miami, FL a few years back on this scam:  https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5BJntLy5b_AODFlb05lTTRnSUE/edit?pli=1

These people are crooks - they do not respect any country's laws or Do Not Call lists.  Report them on site like this, and to your anti-fraud agency.  In Canada you can email to the RCMP 'info@antifraudcentre.ca' .  If you're serious about shutting them down, write to your elected official telling them you want their support for international anti-fraud law enforcement (i.e., funding them) and to leverage the your country's trade agreements so they can shut organized crime and these call centres down!  Be part of the Solution!  (Sorry - but if you use illegal drugs or buy fake-branded merchandise; you are part of the problem by providing funding to these scum.)

The country code on this number is 11, not 1. This number just called me and it?s actually a telemarketer from Great Britain. You thought telemarketing calls from the US and Canada was bad? Welcome to irrtaion on an international scale.

Fcking called my number, but no one uttered a single word.

Once u gave access to ur phone even to known apps this is not the end of those calls. I Garanty that.

Don't know what it is because I didn't answer. I get these kind of calls about 2-3 times a month. It is always a survey or an automated message mentioning that I won a contest.

They didn't leave message. Guess they'd rather tell me personally that I won a trip.  Yahoo!

My cell phone just rang. I did not pick up because I am at home and nobody calls my cell phone first since my family knows it is usually turned off. Googled the number and got here. These scammers should be put in the hole in jail and have to listen to cell phone ringers for 24 hours straight.

Hi I just got two calls from this number as well. Didn't answer it. Then I ran the number on reverse number look up on 411 and say these posts.

Just called- no message- area code is BC -didn't answer it

I only answer calls from numbers I recognize and even then, only if I want to - like not when I'm sitting down to dinner. I am not controlled by my phone! I google numbers I don't recognize in my missed call list - if its a scam, I simply block it! Easy Peasy - no more nuisance calls :) I just blocked this one too!

Called and rang only once. Did not answer, I hate calls like these. This past year I have been getting a ton!

Received a call from 778 654 3238 on my cell. I didn't answer the call because I am out of country and do not accept unknown callers. Looked up the calling number on line and found it to be a probable scam call.

Called on my cell phone.  Let the message pass to voice mail. "Do short survey and get an all-inclusive trip for 2 to the Bahamas".  Totally automated.

For the one who wonders how they got your unlisted cell #, that is a non-issue.  If your phone area code falls in the range of "200 through 999", and your phone # falls in the range of "201-0000 through 999-9999 (I think that will catch everybody), a robot dialer will get you soon enough.

I just received a call from this number and called it right back.  A voice recording said, the survey you are calling for has now expired.  To remove your number press 1.

My cell kept ringing and I wasn't able to answer.   It finally stopped and I saw that it came from this number.   It was not a familiar number so I didn't call back.  

Those fooled by the "free cruise" scammers will be left waiting at the dock for a ship that never comes, while the scammers sail away with their credit card information!
