I recommend Mr. Number to anyone affected by this or other one ring scammers. It gives you the option to hang up on blocked numbers.

Just had this number call me in Halifax NS. 11-778-654-3241, BC, at 6:45 PM Atlantic Time. Congratulations, I won a cruise for two... but I have to answer a few survey questions first... undoubtedly one of them is "What's your credit card number?" I hung up... b*****ds.

Dear 778-654-3241, you are a worthless, drug addicted, child molesting piece of stalker trash. Why don't you just f***ing die? I blocked you, you are a f***ing loser, and one day you're going to pay for the disgusting abuse you have inflicted on myself and the rest of your victims.

Yes, you've been had. This particular scam is called 'Advance Fee Fraud'. Never give ANY money to ANYONE who calls you over the phone or contacts you by email, unsolicited. It is a scam. It will always be a scam - if you've won a free trip or any other kind of thing, you will have had to /enter the contest/ first. Nobody calls up random people to award them free trips, and even if they did, there would be details you could check. Always be extremely wary of anyone who requests money up front, because what is to stop them from simply taking the money and running?

Someone asking the size of my private parts and asked what lovemaking position I liked best.

Got this one back on the 24th of March while I was at work. No answer left on my machine, but looks like its another one linked to the cruise ticket phishing scam

Residents warned about one-ring phone scam
Missed cellphone calls from an unfamiliar number can spark curiosity, but it can also cost you some rather expensive charges if you return the call, the Better Business Bureau warns.
A phone scam has become common in Canada and the United States where your phone rings, but the caller disconnects immediately.
Your phone shows a missed call from an unfamiliar number.
If you try to call it back, it could cost you as much as $19.95 for the international call, depending on how long you stay on the line.
Victims have reported hearing music or an audio advertisement, but they have been connected to a caller-paid toll service or chat line in another country.
Calls have been reported to come from the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, Grenada or Dominica.
The bureau warns you to protect yourself.
? When in doubt, do not pick up or call back. If you do not recognize an out-of-province telephone number on your caller ID, ignore it;
? Understand your mobile bill. Be sure to keep track of what services you pay for and any additional features or changes you may have added to your cell phone plan which will affect the cost. That way you will be able to determine if any charges are unauthorized;
? Keep a close eye on monthly statements. Anyone can become a victim of the one-ring phone scam. Monitoring your bill is the best way to determine whether or not you have been affected. The sooner you spot any unexpected charges, the sooner you can stop them and;
? Add restrictions to your account. Contact your service provider to see if you can restrict third-party billing on your account.

Called at 10:10 this morning in Toronto. Didn't answer as I do not wish to pay long distance charges to listen to BS. Glad I checked on here. These guys are scammers, even worse than telemarketers, who are in the same league as petrified road kill. Someone should call the Mounties in BC (if these scum are actually in BC) to shut 'em down.

Just got another call from this number. I never answer because I am sure it is a telemarketer of some kind. I really appreciate this site because I check the number here to see if others have been called. Then it confirms the scam and I don't have to worry about whether I missed a legitimate call.
| Jon 2014-03-24 17:42:46 Unknown |
I didn't bother with this number cause it said from b.c and I don't know nobody there... Hut from what I see it was a waste of my minutes anyways... Keep up the s****y telemarketing faggets

Just received a call from 778-654-3241.
From reading other comments apparently this telemarketer is offering a *FREE* cruise.
I don't want a free cruise. I just want to end ALL telemarketers calls.
I have NEVER bought anything from a telemarketer.
I NEVER answer suspicious calls.
I have blocked god knows how many numbers.
Yet they they still intrude into the privacy of my home ON MY DAY OFF!
| Patti 2014-03-24 17:14:41 Unknown |

March 24th 2014, got a call from this number on my home phone - Already used to seeing several numbers
with area codes which are way out of my area , I didn't answer. Checked it out on my PC and sure enough it's
one of those scemes again!!!!! I wish someone in Interpol could put a stop to these cheap and fraudulent people.
It is very annoying.
