Called me on August 23rd. I didn't answer.  If I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up the phone. It's as simple as that.

Getting those calls to stop is quite simple.

 1. If you don't recognize the number, don't answer the phone!
 2. Do NOT, I repeat--DO NOT press '1' or '3' or '9' or whatever number they provide, that will supposedly have your number taken off their calling list. When you press that number, all it does is verify that your phone number is valid, and you will receiver even more calls.
 3. Repeat the process ad nauseum.

They'll make three or four tries and if nobody answers, then the number is flagged as 'inactive' or ' invalid' and will be dropped off their list.  It takes a while but eventually the calls DO stop.

There's no point in reporting these calls to the CRTC or FCC or Fraudbusters, since the number is spoofed and the calls can't be traced anyways... so save your time and effort on something worthwhile.

Those calls probably originate in India where the international code is 91 as opposed to N America being 1. From what I can gather the east indian phoners have every prefix that exist in Canada and the US sewn up under the 91 I.C., which does not show up on your phone. DNCL probably can't touch them. I would like to see the technology come that will not let anyone call my phone if I cannot call their phone. Someone 1/2 way around the world could care less what time it is here.

Received several calls recently only answering to dead air.

Criminals do not register guns. Why would a criminal honor the "Do not call list"? Do not answer calls you do not know & do not call back numbers you do not know. No Aunt Sally in Saskatoon? Don't take the call.

Have received many calls from this unwanted number.

I received a call from this number on Aug. 29. I reside in BC. When I answered, the caller does not respond, only silence.

Got a call at 3AM in early August 2012, and another one tonigh August 29th, at 9PM. An automated voicemail - in English - from Rebecca or Roberta from Constant Research Network.

Call the number back.  Listen to the recorded message then hit 9 and it will remove you from the call list.

Just call the number back.  I just did answer machine say its a survey and then you can participate by dialing 1 or hit 9 to be removed from call list

Good for nothing b*****ds disrupt our lives with no conscience - why does the government not pursue them for once and put the same effort into prosecuting these scammers as they do into checking into every aspect of OUR lives?

We've been getting these automated survey calls for months. They do give an option to press 9 to be removed from the call list which has never seemed to work.

I wanted to give a Heads up!*****I've pressed 9 before when prompted to be removed MANY times and it's like the automessage doesn't accept it. Today I pressed 9, then I waited...and then I pressed 9 again and go figure an automated voice came on and said something like "Your request has been received you will be removed from our call list." So it seems this stupid auto-message accepts it if you press 9 more than once, but if you only press 9 one time it won't accept it.*****

This number keeps calling our FAX line. We let it ring and they get screeched. Too bad this has no effect on autocallers.
