I got a paper in the mail with a 2,800 dollar check saying they want me to be a secret shopper and for me to cash the check and send them back 2,400 dollars! Ppl these days! There # on the paper is 1-(778)-710-1493 and 1-(778)-714-2107! Has this happen to anyone else!

I have been getting these calls too EVERY TWO DAYS - pretending to do surveys to get around the DNC list of people allowed to call you, but not for much longer. I don't now anyone from the 778 area code.
You're on the DNC lists in Canada or USA. You've filed the complaint and still they call you, right?
You want to know what to do to stop it... You can't. You can only block them.

I now have a call-blocking box that works in the USA and Canada that can block up to 200 entries.
These can be complete numbers, complete area code exchanges, and even "unknown name & number".
Now you can block such scammers and telemarketers. They call once and you add their number to the box.
Now they are blocked. Don't know anyone in a particular area code? Block them all!

Just got a call from these idiots.   I didnt answer because  I no longer answer long distance numbers I don't recognize.  I always check 800notes to make sure I didn't miss anything important.... And as usual, I didn't ...

They call almost daily and have done so for several months.  Random times during the day.  Very annoying to say the least.

Called my do-not-call land-line at 13:26 Pacific today. When I answered, there was no response. They hung-up after 60 seconds.

Since I am a Shaw Home Phone customer, I can use <star><six><zero>
to "block" all future calls from this telephone-number.

I have received so far  8 calls from this number and I ignore it.  I know nobody in Vancouver

I didn't answer but from researching the number, it appears to be either a scam or fraudulent.

When the answering machine came on - it was a hang up!
We are on the Canadian Government's  "Do not call" list for solicitation calls....alot of good that does....

JUNK CALL

Started phoning on August 7, 2012 - 3 times in 4 hours. Didn't answer any of them

1-778-785-6230 called no body answered when I answered.

It's an automated call saying she is Roberta from Constant Research. This same recording has called from four different numbers everyday for the last month. I do not want to follow their prompts. I have heard stories about pressing certain numbers gives access to your phone system.

This number calls alot.  It is a scam.  Message saying it was Roberta and if I answered some questions I could win a trip for two to the Bahamas.  it said press one if I wanted to take the survey......I was bored so I pressed 2 and the message repeated......I did this about 50 times and finally my daughter said try 0.  When that happened I got silence and the sound of breathing.  I said "Roberta...Roberta??  Talk to me Roberta!!"  they hung up......  Kept their line busy for awhile so they weren't calling anyone else and made my daughter laugh:).  Things to do when bored.

Got a call from this number and didn't answer it. A few minutes later I got an "unavailable" call and answered it. Robocall asking you to take a political survey for a free cruise. I decided to see it through and randomly answered the robo survey. I was put on hold for several minutes while listening to cheery advertisements for travel in Florida -- cruises, resorts, hotels etc.  Finally a nice woman came on the line identifying herself with Caribbean Cruises and she answered my questions. They work with an advertising firm ISG which she says does the robocalling for them. I was very polite and asked her to take my number off her calling list, which she said she did. She apologized for the inconvenience and that was that. Well, we'll see.  I am sure ISG is using the Vancouver telecommunications company to do the robocalling in Canada to try and get the Canucks who are dying to book cruises to escape their igloos in the Winter.

Received a call few minutes ago. Same call yesterday also. Automated voice message asking to select 1 to begin survey and 9 to be removed from the list. When I select 1 it said that the time expired on the survey and disconnected. Scam.

Scam artists. They love to call at supper time. Block this number.

This is so annoying!  They will call but nobody answers!!! They will call you 3x a day.

Just rec'd a call.  They remained silent when I answered, then a gentle 'click' as they hung up.  I am on the No Call list.

I did not answer the call. They did not leave a message. These calls are so irritating. Earlier to day I had another unknown name, private caller that I answered. It took them about 5 seconds to respond so I hung up. Another scam I'm guessing.

The phone number is calling me 2X a day. I never pick up and they never leave a message. But it is annoying.
