Hey I received this letter also and I did try to call this number there was just I recording saying that the person was unavailable. I certainly hope no one has went through with cashing these checks. I would really like to report this. How can I? And will it be a problem since this is based in Canada?

I got the exact same thing except my check was drawn on suntrust bank.

I got the same letter.  The check is from Standard Finance INC. ck# 37536 it's drawn in the same address that you guys already listed, Fruitville.

I receive the same letter. This is not funny!

Please report your letter as I will be doing the same this morning. I live in Northwest Indiana and this scam needs to stop, it is going on all over the US.

I also, received a letter & check from B.B.M Financial Services Inc. 1122 Airport Road, St John NF, Canada A1B3X5. Century Bank 1680 Fruitville RD, Sarasota, FL. Check # 37825. Along with a letter the exact as the above stated. I am going to contact the bank and fax over the check and letter and give everything I recieved to the local post office, because it is a federcal crime to sent forged documents through the US postal services.

I received a letter from B.B.M. Financial Services, Inc. 1122 Airport Road, St John NF, Canada A1B3X5 with check# 38463 in the amount of $4730.00 drawn on Century Bank, 1680 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota FL 34236 Routing# 263190757, from Standard Finance, Inc., 1680 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota FL (Same address as Century Bank).  The letter stated I had won $250,000 in SWEEPSTAKES ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA (I knew better!).  I did a reverse phone lookup on the phone number 778-858-7407 and apparently it is a cell phone through Fido Solutions and the number came up unpublished or unavailable and originated from New Westminister British Columbia.  The claims agent I was requested to contact was a Patric Douglas and the Tax Agent was Karen Miller, 4662 14th Avenue, St John, NF Canada.  The check enclosed was to pay for a Non Resident Government Service Tax.  I was to send a MONEYGRAM to Karen Miller in the amount of $3810.00.  Needless to say, after my research the letter and the check went to the shredder.
