Got a letter and check.

Same exact letter with a check. My check had the company "The Proctor & Gamble Company", sales agent Susan Page @ 778-862-4477, and Holden Financial Services was the letter head on mine. My letter said I won $250,000 and I had a check for $4,700 enclosed to pay for taxes. LOL! It is absolutely crazy what people get away with today.  My girlfriend wouldn't leave me alone about this cause she swore up and down the check was real.  I said hold off and let me check the net. Thank god I did, and thank you to all of you for posting this.

I received the same letter and phone # 604-726-2705 which when checking was a cell phone # in Vancouver.  The Check was from a company Bosal Industries Georgia Inc, which when checking is a mfg of motor vehicle exhausts, now why would they be sending me a check in a sweepstakes.  I have gotten similiar items in the pas and then just call the company who they have on the check, usually they will tell you it's a scam right away.  This also alerts them that they are being used in the scam.

I got a letter also, saying the same thing.  I called and the person told me to deposit my check and then call him back.  I think it must be a scam and they have some way to access your bank account when you deposit the check.  I have concerns that the check would bounce anyway.

IM A 2ND PLACE WINNER AN WON 485,OOO.OO. THEY SENT ME A CHECK TO DEPOST IN MY ACOUNT AN THEN CAL MY CLAIM AGENT BACK FOR THE REST OF THE WAY TO GET MY CERTIFIED CHECK.

My daughters boyfriend got the same exact letter! What makes me think it is a scam is... No return address....No return receipt....etc. I think I will get in touch with our state representative. We are from Connecticut..IT IS A TOTAL SCAM

I just got the same exact letter and Check. I don't quite know if it is legit or not. I am leaning towards it is a SCAM!

I received a letter and a check for $4,800.00. the letter stating that i am a 2nd prize winner in the second category of the USA Mega (under the international Sweepstake) draw help on August 16, 2009.  The serical number ******* attached to your name matched the first five lucky winning numbers********** and subsequently won US $485,000.00. Avofit financial Inc. has been assigned by the international sweepstake organization to inform all winners and pay them off their money. Payments will be made by a certified check which will be delivered by our special courier company.
