Recieved letter stating I won USA Mega Lottery...company on letterhead was Sunlife Financial Inc. which is based in Canada...the company is legit but this is a total scam which the company was not aware of. They also sent a check for $4700.00 to be cashed and then they wanted me to send them $3450.oo via Western Union to help pay the tax towards the "prize money". The company name on the check was Sinotrans Express Inc. and the bank was East West Bank based in California whom I called and reported this too...they said the check is fraudulent and are conducting an investigation. The # they said to call to claim the prize was 1-778-882-7315 and the person to ask for was Judy Clark...when I tried to call back the # again it goes to a voicemail and you can't leave a message because the mailbox is full.

Received a letter advising that I won a sweepstate and lottery draw. The letter purported to be from a legitimate company, ING Direct, which has a Canadian website. Zip code and phone numbers do not match though. Letter includes a check for $4,295.00 and asks me to remit $3,295.00 to pay government service tax.
Letter directs me to call 778-882-3099 for instructions and to speal to Sean Hamilton or Debbie Jones. The number is in British Columbia. The funds for the taxes is to be sent to Noel McColgan in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
This is an old scam. Beware!
