Sent me a letter with a legit check....trying to scam money

I recieved a letter saying i won 250,000 dollars thru media links,promotional contest,i never spoke with marcus dube,but researched this so called bank M&T bank in maryland,the bank exist,i also spoke with a check cashing business,they say im able to cash this check,i felt very uneasy and decided to google media links LLC,i could have cashed this check and most likely been arrested,i am aware that nothing in life is free,if something sounds to good to be true, it probably is......

i receiveda check from the jerk MARCUS DUBE of $5985.00 stated i won $250000.00 ,it is a scam to take my money
he should be in jail by now

I just received a similar check in the mail with the name Marcus Dube as the contact. It said I won a contest hosted by the American Coffee Company inc. I actually called the number and spoke to Marcus briefly, decided it was a scam and googled the number. so glad that i did. Stay away from these people

This may actually be a Canadian scammer as there is a well known motocross racer in Canada named 'Marco' Dube. So, they could just be playing off his name.

This is totally fraudulent. Do not believe Marcus Dube if he calls you or if you receive a letter stating that you won $$$. The checks are absolutely bogus and the whole thing is a scam. Don't be fooled!

I got a letter with a check for $5985.00 saying I won a pro mo contest from Media Links LLC with this # 1-778-883-4177 IT says I won $250,000
and this check was to cover the taxes but I had to call MR.Marcus Dude to release the funds for the check???

This number is being used by a Nigerian scheme located in Canada.  Anyone using this number is trying to take your money.  As of 03/20/2009, the jerk using the number is Mr. Marcus Dube.  If you do any busniness with this turd, you will lose your money.  Good Luck
