I wouldn't do that! I have a family member going through a scare right now because of it. The only thing I could say if you are planning on calling is to call the bank that the check is coming from to make sure it is legitimate and has the funds or just wait at least 15-20 days and make sure the check clears. Be careful it's probably a scam and you will be left owing the money to the bank while he walks away with your money. Since it's international, there is very little you can do about it.

Got a check from a company with this phone number.  Want to see if it's a legitimate phone before I call it.
